Awesome again Jason find horse mackerel r a good bait cut or as live bait water temp cold fair bit of weed around fished 3 hours this morn in the marina had 7 bream useing chicken gut. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Nice session mate👍. Mackerel, scad, bream and a lovely little smoothhound.👏👏👏 Clear sky, decent weather, peace and quiet and a cracking moon. Heaven. Shame about the midges, but hey, a small price to pay. Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe.😷🙊
@@TheEastbourneFisherman sorry mate was busy at work. I use a Fenix head torch which has a red setting, not sure about a light for filming in your bivvy but a Fenix rigged properly might do the job.
@@TheEastbourneFisherman Terrible! Not a bite between 2 of us in 4 hrs ! However returned on Mon to fish into dark and had a good sized bream before the mackerel appeared and it was impossible to put any bait in without catching them ! Did pick up a couple of decent schoolies amongst them.
It's hard work sometimes isn't it lol! Wonder why we do it!!!! Well done on catching It's hard to get through the mackerel sometime tho FISHING for them on light gear is fantastic tho Love mackerel season :)
Try the evening tides. Mackerel feed right into darkness. I've had them off the groyne in the right conditions. No idea how they see feathers in near darkness.

Cheers Ian it's good to venture out a bit, hopefully one of many sessions further afield :)
Try mounting the mackerel with flesh out. I'm sure the fish like the flesh -just like we do. Bits can break off and make a scent trail.
Great idea I'll give it a go :)
Try using a red light, reduces the midges to a minimal amount mate 👌
Yeah I'll have to get one any reccomendations on one I can use in my bivvy?

Nice one Jason. Hope the midges aren't there tomorrow morning! Aiming to get to the beach at first light and fish the last 2 hrs of the flood. 🤞🎣🐟
How did your session go?
