Shoreham - SHINGLE ROAD

- Three spring daytime sessions (recorded on 20.04.23, 28.04.23 and 09.05.23) originally targeting plaice at Shoreham, West Sussex (UK). This video covers another mark - Shingle Road - between The Church of the Good Shepherd and The Burrells, which I have covered in previous videos. The first trip was a struggle and it took a long time for the target species to turn up; the second was a much more successful outing, but fished in windy conditions and coloured water. The third was also fished in less than ideal conditions for plaice, but small bass were active and the target species did turn up. Rigs and techniques employed are dealt with.

Thanks, will do!
Another great video Mick a nice mixed bag of fish. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Many thanks again Nick - hope you're getting a few.
Great video as usual Michael, some nice mixed bag fishing. The first session was a bit slow but you made up for it in the other two sessions. North Easterly winds won’t let up.
Thanks Chris - yes northerly and easterly winds for a good while now.
Bravo mate, some cracking fish, lovely last plaice , and a perfect miniature smoothhound. Appreciate your effort 👍🏼👍🏼
Many thanks again.
I was at borth the week after you finished there and it was flat calm and only had 1 bass and small flounders between the 2 of us but a great place to fish
You've got to hit it right. I've recently been back, caught some turbot and expected them to be there on the next tide, but they didn't come back - video will be posted soon. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video, Mick. Good to see you back on my local beach. You did well as the fishing has been hard this spring. Hopefully the summer species will soon appear and the wind will change from the northeast that we've had for 3 weeks. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Thanks for that Rob - black bream are around now.
Good video Mick, you’d do well at Cambridge Road in Eastbourne. That’s a good mark for Plaice.
Thanks for that. I have fished Cambridge Rd. a few times and have videos covering that part of Eastbourne, if interested. See - ua-cam.com/video/FXZWIpX3n3E/v-deo.html. Not had time to go back recently - hope its fishing well.
Good afternoon Michael..
Such a shame the weather wasnt a little kind , it could have been very busy.. but I think you did very well, and you found a few plaice so very well done .. we have been cursed with this easterly wind here for weeks now and it's making it tough..
But great video and thank you, hope your in good form ..
Best regards
😎
Thanks Michael. Yes - northerly and easterly winds for quite some time now. Hope things improve your way.
Love what you do 😊 at some point in my life I want to travel the country and fish different locations keep it up!
Thanks - I much prefer to travel about, than fish the same venues all the time.
Amazing how close in the fish are along that stretch , it’s like that all summer. Many a time in the past I cast over the fish ( and I’m not much good at casting 🙄) thanks for sharing
With a bit of a surf on bass and flounders are often just a few yards out. Thanks for watching.
Hi Rod, many thanks for your videos, Love them
Glad you like them and thanks for watching!
First, for a change! Hi Mick. Lovely video and some nice fish caught. Keep it up. Cheers and take care. Ken
Thanks Ken - have you caught up then? A great venue, but can be hit and miss like other areas and prolonged northerly and easterly winds probably don't help.
@@rodsangleuk6283 Hi Mick. Not yet but I'm trying! Cheers. Ken
Nice videos learnt a lot from them please keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
Another informative and enjoyable video, Mick ... Despite the spray on the lens problems ... Nice mixed bag from the three sessions. 👍😊
Many thanks for that.
