A friend invited me to go see Undeath this week. They were touring with Tribal Gaze whom i"ve seen before and I thought they were okay last time I saw them. Reminded me of Mortician meets Incantation. Holy fucking canoe fest! Not a single old school death metal shirt in the building. I didn't even stick around to see Undead. It was nothing but gen Z dorks wearing baggy pants, Harry Potter glasses, dudes with dangly earings, pink and purple battle jackets. Corpsegrinder era Cannibal Corpse shirts. (Sorry CC ends with Vile for me. It's just been the same lame record ever since. But I do love the first 2 Monstrosity albums.) Anyways, I think the Dawg is right. We need to gatekeep harder. This is getting outta fucking control. These fucking culture vulture hardcore wimps have invaded the metal scene and it's gotta go.

Younger vs older metal band battle: Lorna shore vs cradle of filth
When people refer to Lorna Shore as "blackened," they are primarily alluding to the band's use of minor chords and bombastic symphonic influences reminiscent of Dimmu Borgir or cradle of filth symphonic metal bands. The half-step minor chord progressions create a dark, foreboding sound that evokes black metal vibes. However if you're a regular listeners of black metal you may argue that these elements alone do not qualify Lorna Shore as "black metal" inspired, as inspired, as black metal encompasses a much broader range of sounds beyond half-step minor chords

Has any devils gotten the new nasty savage yet? I have had mine for a week now, even though it is only coming out the 10th (This is a label that the Dawg can get behind)
Personally I find it a little dissapointing.
Mostly good stuff on Side A (Invocations, Jeopardy Room, Brain washer, Witches Sabbath & Schizoid Platform) The very mechanical production does make it difficult for me to love the songs, even if they are very good. However the LP quickly starts to tread water on side B, no longer sounding like a Nasty Savage album, and just some generic modern thrash (Albeit the chorus on Operation Annihilate is quite infectious) Side B also has a tendency to overuse samples and vocal effects, which only serves to annoy and distract from the music, and as a result blood syndicate is a skip song every time for me, the song doesn't sound all that different from the previous anyway. I thought the highlight of this album was Nasty Ronnie's lyrics, which have only gotten better with time. So that's my thoughts in case you happen to give a 💩

Rotting - Crushed? The old United Gutteral album with a dead guy on the sidewalk? That album sucked ass Dawg. Haven't heard it since it came out. I'll give it another spin but I remember it blowing ass. The one that blew me away from that time was the Splattered Cadaver - Merciless Butchery. That was one of the best ones UG ever put out.
