Hi guys! I really appreciate your videos, this one as much as any. My DE1911G Stainless is my choice of .45 target shooters. But, because I am a collector and have no Sigs as yet, this is a must-watch for me. Sig produces another 1911 called the "Traditional Match Elite" in 9MM which may possibly be my next purchase.Thanks for the fair and honest reviews, not everyone does that.
I have a few 1911’s…. An unfired Remington-Rand… a couple Remington R1s and a Desert Eagle. When I was a teenager, we’d scrape $50 together and buy surplus 1911s and 1911A1s at most any gun shop… shoot them a while and when we were broke, sell them to someone else for the same fifty bucks. Fifty dollars was still a big hunk of change… my first factory job take-home pay was $37.50 for a 40 hour week. Gas was 20 cents a gallon and love was only 40 cents away.
I own the DE in blue. Extremely well executed 1911 by Bul LTD. Made in Tel Aviv. Israeli quality and attention to detail is phenomenal. Series 70 all day. Trigger on mine broke at 3.7lbs . Round count over 1k. 0 stoppages. Using ball and hp ammo.

Excellent review & footage, as always. We sure enjoy the vids. Good perspective. I am not too sure if all the goodies are worth $300+ for the Sig in some cases but the rail & night sights are mighty important if your 1911 is a designated personal defense gun.

Always enjoy your quality 1911 reviews especially the comparison videos. Appreciate the lesson on the series 70 and 80 under slide construction to tell the difference. At the range with my Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec recently, just did not realize how nice the 1911 is til you take it out again. Ever use a set of Crimson Trace grips on a 1911 and was it effective vs. having like SigLite night sights? Thanks very much!

I have a Blued Desert Eagle 1911G that has a picatinny rail on so they do come with the option just very less of them. Overall great video!
The SIG Select 1911 does have a nice trigger for a Series 80. It was the best SIG 1911 that I used to own. (I sold it to buy my DW Specialist.)

I wear a Kore belt too. The perfect fit and reinforcement make it amazing. I’ll never wear a normal belt again.
Tho i havent tried Kore, I've given up on other slide belts. The spikes at the "fixed" end of the belt destroys the material and was a constant point of failure.

Can’t recommend the Desert Eagle enough, I also ordered 9mm with barrel bushing straight from Bul who make the Desert Eagle. Great to see both are great guns just depends on features you want, I put Dawson fiber optics on all 3 of mine, don’t like night sights, use mine for IDPA esp division, my opinion Best Buy in 1911’s except for RIA, not quite as refined but loaded with features

Excellent Video Guys! I have a handful of 1911's including a WW2 GI and just bought a Magnum Research in Commander size and Love it. Always tell People that when you pick up a 1911, it feels as if God himself made it for your Protection.

Celtic Warrior Yes Sir! God and John Moses Browning taking good care of us all for sure. :) The 2 Custom Leather Companies that I love are TTGUNLEATHER and Tucker Gunleather. You will see both Holsters in multiple review videos on our channel. I can attest to their Quality and I just hate plastic holsters these days. The Great thing about 1911’s if you have 2 or 4 1911’s that do not have a Rail then that one holster works for all 3 or 4 1911 pistols. Make sure you get the top of the leather holster reinforce at the top of the holster with the extra leather piece. This will make it stay open when you’re using the pistol and you go back to holster. David Bryles They make full metal jacket, and they make 20 round boxes of what they called the sig V Crown. It is a jacketed hollow point that is Not bonded and will jacket separate pretty badd from longer barrels where the velocity gets too high

David Bryles in 10mm I run Underwood 155gr xtp for 2 legged and 200gr hardcast for 4 legged.
In 45 I run 200gr +p gold dot from speer
David Bryles Well I have videos on both of them. In 9 mm I carry 124 grain plus P from both of them. I give a slight maybe 10% better edge to the HST's right now.

Excellent vid guys and a pretty cool comparison however I think the sig takes it hands down. I should've never sold my tac ops but will most likely be picking up another one in the future to hold the spot of my railed/tactical all business duty style 1911. Not the biggest fan of series 80s guns but for a fighting gun that will be used and abused and have a higher propensity of being dropped, it's not a half bad idea I suppose.
Terribly Tactical Sig makes a great 1911 for the money they cost.

How does this Magnum Research stack up against the same priced Springfield 1911s?
If its any help I have a Bul armory 1911 Government.45 5” and a Springfield range officer compact 9mm. The range officer is an great gun I ccw it, and have a lot of fun with it. But my Bul armory(who makes magnum research 1911) is in my opinion better over all. It will be a Bul when I get another 1911.

Not much different than the Kimber 1911 Custom LW. All I see is the front grip texture. Kimber is 599.
