This is the good stuff, More people need to see just how important it is to do it right!! When the students pay attention to the instructions the mistakes go away!
I was watching another episode where there were delays due to problems with the plane. I didn’t see very upset people. That is good because they were looking out for safety. If they didn’t have things fixed it could be disaster. So it was great they found the problems before taking off.
Exactly. I was delayed over 3 hours whilst a fault was fixed. Anyone who complained should invent a plane that never goes wrong and become a billionaire.
What an odd editing choice at 44:00 when they have audio asking for gear down when the video shows the plane seconds from the runway threshold with the landing gear lights in view indicating the gear is down. Otherwise, I've really liked this series.
Captain Sox your not required too you can disconnect at any time but 1000ft in most aircraft wether it be a 320 or 737 most pilots disconnect around 1000ft as by then the aircraft is configured, checklists are complete and the cabin crew can no longer contact you so it’s the usual right point to disconnect as you can focus on flying the aircraft and be distracted by other things like checklists and configuring the aircraft.
Captain Sox and about disconnecting at minimums you only do that if the runway comes in to sight. If the runway doesn’t come in to view a few seconds after you go around unless the winds are within auto land limits which auto land limits are very very low it’s only really meant to land in light winds, low vis conditions.
Because otherwise a large portion infront of the aircraft would have to constantly be void of equipment or personnel, and it saves on maintenance costs to use a tug
Because there is no drive to the wheels. They rely on engine thrust to move under their own power. Reverse thrust exists but is only used on the runway to assist with slowing down. It's very inefficient and noisy and also can suck anything up that may be blown around. It's much easier and cheaper to use a tug.
Some will start their training at a little bit older age, and create a career in aviation. It's not so rare today, because the retirement age of an airline pilot is 65.
Any other Av geeks that just re watch these over and over again bc there’s just not anything else like it

Watched it years ago and I'm back to re watch the whole series😂

Simon and Jenny are a good team. Keep things loose and fun in the cockpit, but when it's time to be a pro, the team clicks together.
I've had the pleasure of flying on-board an Easyjet Airbus A319 from Gatwick to Mahon in 2019.
Love Easyjet 😊

“They’re saying now that the flight is released?” “They’re saying bullshit!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Swiss pilot was very typical: precise, decent, polite and a little bit funny.

Emma came and did a talk to us and it reminded me of this series and now I’m re watching it when I can

25:35 not *all* aircraft.
See for instance the C-17 Globemaster reversing with its own reverse thrust.

gear down that close to the runway? 44:00? i think the editors got that part wrong lol
Another great video. Thanks for posting.
Michael Bird Thanks for watching :)
Very impressed with Captain Emma. True professional

Episode 3 is oust
16:06 The Swiss captain suddenly turned Scottish for a second there.
xD
Well, Southern German dialects are to some extend closer to Scottish than standard English.
You know someone’s rich when they’re a pilot and STILL able to afford Percy pigs.
Love the vid
When I first started playing FSX, I kept the plane in autopilot until it about to touch the ground...let the computer line up and descent the plane.
In a airbus you are supposed to do that until 1000 feet unless it is extremely low visibility you disengage at minimums
That’s why i fly the 737-800 on x-plane11

I love the A320 but I want to be a KLM 747-8 pilot
Jy Awesomeness they don’t have 747-8i in their fleet :/
Eirik Andreas Albretsen yeah I wish they did though the A320 is still a good bird
I want to be a pilot please!

Why can’t aeroplanes reverse?
wwwww🥵
Because otherwise a large portion infront of the aircraft would have to constantly be void of equipment or personnel, and it saves on maintenance costs to use a tug

when they think the A321 is a new airplane
***avgeek anger***
I think it was new to Easyjet
The neo is (well was in 2019) a new airplane. Not the A321 model in general.
@@BonJoviMad100 Correct. Easyjet were A319 and A320 only for some time, When this was shot, they were only just getting their first A321s

Stuart looks old to be a trainee pilot! Unfortunately they used Stephen Fry as the narrator.
Some will start their training at a little bit older age, and create a career in aviation. It's not so rare today, because the retirement age of an airline pilot is 65.
These kids just paid 150 grand to be a pilot and in 10 years AI will displace them
It won't
How often do pilots talk politics in flight?
Angelo Busato most pilots tend to avoid talking about politics, it’s a very easy way to start to not like somebody
