I absolutely love how we'll have a new 737 in MSFS and so happy to hear what I think you said in the first stream how the developer seems to be very responsive to your feedback. I hope he's watching your streams to pick up all the small things you mention where a slight change is needed to better match the real aircraft.
what a great flight sim experience, piloted by one of the best real & sim pilots himself (FD2S) this looks like the ticket for me as i currently have the PMDG 737-600 & 737-900/ER + their 777-300. This 737MAX8 is the perfect fit to full-fill the flight sim hanger.. all we need now is the Bluebird 757 and we have such a nice array of commercial jetliners
You are correct that having radio mins at the bottom is is an option. Actually a couple of things you mentioned in the video as errors are actually options that your company probably doesn't use.
I got the chance to sit in the FO seat of a 6-month old Max after a recent flight to Italy and enter some data for the next sector. The tops of some of the LSKs were already completely worn off. 😂 dread to think what they look like after a few years in service. This must be a fresh one!
It was more geared to MSFS settings but had some suggestions for the NVIDIA settings too. Helped me gain a few fps though! Here you go! ua-cam.com/video/F37SHBatw08/v-deo.htmlsi=m2HGyBZE-K7dUcFd
I love how Boris chose to work with iFly and not PMDG. Says a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if he did the FBW A380 sounds either. Would love it if he does do a GE-90 in the near future though.
Great video as always. Huge amount of potential for this aircraft. Presuming the aircraft releases in a similar state to this, there are a too many bugs for me when I already have a 737 though an NG. If the PMDGD didn’t exist would probably get it, but as it is, for me I’ll wait until a lot of the stuff is fixed.
Awesome thanks! Q - if you manually enter the route (without requesting the plan), how do you uplink route cruise winds? Or does this have to be done manually?
Hi! I just wanted to ask about common VNAV and basic VNAV. I watched an old tutorial of yours where you talked about your operator using basic VNAV where if you were above profile and engaged VNAV it would remain in VNAV PTH and would dive for the profile. In this video you mentioned your operator now uses common VNAV which I assume means if in a situation where you are above profile it will go into VNAV SPD. So I guess my question is, did your operator switch over to common VNAV after they started taking deliveries of the MAX aircraft? Hope I’m understanding this correctly. Also are you able to switch between common on basic on the iFly? I know it’s an option in the zibo and I’ve always missed it in the PMDG. Thanks!
Perfectly understood ! That is exactly what happened, when the Max deliveries started logic was switched to common VNAV which simplifies the descent process to just one mode, working as you described. Couldn’t find it in the option for iFly, I’d hazard a guess all Max’s are common VNAV which I believe is hoe it works on the 777/787 👍🏻
@@flightdeck2sim Thank you for the response! I was watching a video about the various FMC updates over the years and was wondering if you knew off the top of your head, which version of the FMC update your operator uses? I noticed some very cool changes such as the introduction of a takeoff perf page 3 which includes VNAV temp correction for cold or hot temperatures, a video which you did recently that is now an automated option as of FMC U14 I believe. Thanks again!
Hey FD2S i have a question, did MAX have the analog flap gauge? Like the NG series, or is just digital?, it is digital only, how do you know the flaps are extend if you lose your displays.
Yes digital only. Technically there is more redundancy in the MAX because the TE indicator on the NG is only one gauge, in the Max you can move engine indications from one screen to the other! FD2S
Not so much related to the video at all sadly, but is this iFly model is on Marketplace? If not, well sucks to be suck cuz I dont want to use paypal or credit cards to pay for sim marketplaces.
I’m still trying to figure out what the benefit of this over PMDG is. Other than sounds (no big deal for me as pilots wear headsets anyway) and big screens, what’s the reason for this one?
Well the 737 Max is a new variant of the 737 series as you well know, the iFly 737 Max is based off this new variant, the PMDG 737 is based off the NG. ua-cam.com/video/Oc1ajosNOmA/v-deo.htmlsi=mYg288FkUJbrhrTn
Not in a single day for sure. But if you will be patient and passionate you will do all of this stuff with time. Start with easy tutorials than get into more complicated ones if you are looking to play more realistically of course
@@gokayozturk7198 it looks awesome ! I've always wanted to do flight simulator at the moment I have a SIM racing but my passion is on flight simulator but I don't have pc I use ps5 . Pc on its own £2000 I'm guessing minimum 😆 so I have to do some savings 😂 thanks for that !
Is anyone else bothered by the refresh rate on the displays? Seems way too low. In fact, the whole cockpit reminds me a lot of P3D rather than MSFS. I hope they will polish it a bit more.
Not really. Tankering just makes you're taking additional fuel from your departure point as fuel at your destination is more expensive or there might not be sufficient fuel! FD2S
Do not use vsync!! .. as you have adaptive sync on the monitor it will adapt… with vsync on ingame you will ruin this great! feature! Input lag will also be increased with vsync on
@@flightdeck2sim Don't listen to them. Either enable both V- and G-Syncs, or enable G-Sync and turn on an FPS limiter (in nVidia Control Panel? I forget where it is on nVidia GPUs), it'll achieve the same result. V-Sync (or FPS Limiter) keeps FPS from going above your monitor's maximum refresh rate (so no tearing when FPS > max monitor refresh rate), G-Sync keeps your monitor refresh rate dynamically synced with low FPS (so no tearing when FPS < max monitor refresh rate)
@df98156 Vsync is for anyone who doesn't have adaptive sync or VSYNC capable monitor. Vsync enable will cut your fps 50% or less. Enabling Vsync on Adaptive or Vsync monitor will causes fps issues. I've even disable Vsync on my nvidia control panel. Vsync must be off when using Frame generation as well.

PMDG has always made their own sounds so they probably didn’t even contact him about making sounds.
@@bluecrayon007... and how did that work out with the 777
Im sure Boris would work with pmdg if they offered him the chance..... needless drama
Boris is on the a380 i saw it somewhere
Source: trust me bro
But fr im sure it is
@@DanteJ1s I wouldn't be surprised bc their A380 sounds exactly like the real aircraft.
What gears you use?
Music in the beginning?
Is it the screen shimmering when you move camera?

how did you recycle the flight directors like that on final? What keybind is that? would love to know.
I think it's FD's off or something in MSFS!
@@flightdeck2sim Ok thanks. I'm a idiot, I thought "recycle" meant something else than "flight directors OFF and on again" :D
I always wondered why you need to recycle them ?
Looks great!

If one of the displays fail, you can switch the engine instruments to another display
and if you lose all of your displays, then the flaps position is not the only big problem 😅
