How often do you guys apply sunscreen when indoors? I feel like I'm not reapplying often enough.
@@aizawasscarf8927 like every 3 hours, but at least every 2 when I'm in my sunny room. If you use a chemical sunscreen try to stay away from sunlight for 15 minutes after application :)

Nivea recently came out with their "Soothing Cleansing Oil" (purple bottle) that's mineral oil based and fragrance free, I get it for 5 pounds here in Europe. Would love to hear your thoughts, I love when drugstore brands make good products.
Here are the ingredients:
Paraffinum Liquidum, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isopropyl Palmitate, Isododecane, Ethylhexyl Stearate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol
It leaves my skin cleansed and somehow it makes my skin radiant. Still on my first bottle and already obsessed with it!
I have it too, it's a really nice budget option I think
i had the pink version of it and hated it! now checking on the ingredients, i know why. the pink one has added perfume, alcohol and Linalool... so definitely make sure not to buy this one lol..

I do a foaming cleanser at night to get off sunscreen, and I use CeraVe Hydrating cleanser in the morning to get off excess oil from the skin. I’ve been doing this for months and it’s working really well.

Happy Saturday! With make-up I think double cleansing is necessary! In the evening I use Hadalabo oil or Pond's fragrance free and then Cerave hydrating cleanser before Cerave moisturising cream! For Inkey products, in Quebec we can order some of their products on the Pharmaprix website. I find the confinement a little easier with an animal. Veterinary clinics are open so it's easy to get the bags of food. Let's follow the instructions and continue to take care of our skin without forgetting our sunscreen even if we stay home!

Yeah I was wondering if this would work for my really sensitive skin. Cause I want to use it as my 1st cleanse and then follow up with the Cerave hydrating cleanser( I have been using it for a month and works wonderfully on sensitive skin) but I'm interested in starting double cleansing as I wear water resistant sunscreen everyday .

I ran out of my fav HadaLabo cleansing oil, so I picked up Albolene at Walmart and I’m happy with it -inexpensive, will last forever, and it does the job!
Im also a big fan of HL oil, its awesome!

I miss The Inkey List's Snow Mushroom. It had a nice, gel-like texture. Nothing radical, but a portable size that did not leave fingers greasy afterwards.

I ran out of face wash one day (Cerave Foaming Cleanser) and started using the Aveeno Moisturizing Bar Soap, which is what I use to shave with. Seems to be a nice formula (I have oily skin) no issues (not sensitive to PG VG ect). Ingredients seem okay: Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Water, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Glycerin, Parrafin, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Isethionate, Benzyl Alcohol, Galactoarabinan, Sodium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide
I have really oily skin and I've found I only need to rinse my face with water or wipe the excess oil off with a clean cloth pre sunscreen. It's been really kind to my skin ^^

I usually cleanse twice a day but I'm thinking just a good double cleanse at night would be much more optimal.
I plan on alternating with a 5% benzoyl peroxide wash one day and follow it with a 2% salicylic acid wash the next day...
Because I use topical antibiotics to treat staph infections, I don't want the areas (usually on my forehead and temples) to become resistant to the antibiotics and benzoyl peroxide actually prevents this --just another little tip I picked up from Dr. Dray :P

The Inkey Oats Cleansing Balm contains Cetearyl Alcohol and Alcool Benzilico. Is there a problem with these two ingredients? Thank you for your precious informations! I use Retinol 0,2% in Squalane in the evening. The second day, in the morning I wash my face only with water, I hope that's enough, I wake up with oily skin.
You look so pretty today. It was great seeing your mom again. I bought 2 tubes of the Neutrogena hand cream. It’s very nice, especially with all of my hand washing, and an excellent size for a handbag. Hope everyone is well!
The inkey list oat balm is definitely a first cleanse only, it leaves an oily residue, did not leave me feeling ‘clean’ at all, and if you’re adding hydrating serums/moisturisers afterwards, it will clog the pores

Okay- I am a believer!! I got an eyelid rash a year ago and my dermatologist gave me hydrocortisone but said it shouldn’t be a long time cure. It helped bit it wasn’t gone. I’ve tried so many moisturizers on my eyelids with great ingredients but it didn’t help at all. I started using the oat cleansing balm for my rosacea and after just a few times my eyelid rash disappeared! And my rosacea is definitely improving. I’m a believer in the healing properties of colloidal oatmeal.
Shoes OMG! The only shoes that high that are comfortable are wedges. Hope to see them on soon. :) Been digging the Neutrogena makeup remover balm and have a sample of the Heimish balm which is okay but it has flower oils and extracts. :( The vid you have of your nighttime double cleansing is really helpful.

Dr. Dray, the beauty industry is putting hyaluronic acid in just about everything. What are your thoughts on foundations, bb creams, cc creams, with HA? Do they potentially dry out the skin since HA is a humectant?
I tried L'Oreal foundation with hylarounic acid,,, and omg it dried out my skin it was awful, so I am definitely staying away from foundations with hylarounic acid in, not sure if this is everyone's experience, but I couldn't get on with it

I totally wondered about this too. Seeing as to how it needs to be applied, it cant possibly be effective in random products, right? Some lip balm i had has ha in it and it did dry my lips.
I think any humectant will dry your skin out if you don't follow it up with an occlusive moisturizer. Humectants are important in any skincare or skin type.
@@MsLizzylaw This is kind of late but because HA is a humectant, it draws water from your environment to hydrate the skin. Therefore, if you live in a dry/not-humid climate (and especially if you applied it during winter), there won’t be enough moisture from the environment and the humectant will draw moisture from your skin, leaving it dry. I’m not a professional, but I hope this helps!

Thanks for your helpful videos! I am going to try to not wash my face in the am, after tretinoin the night before. I have been frightened to try this for fear of too much oil buildup and then acne flair. Your advice has not failed me. I tried using vaseline to seal in moisture and my face was so soft and nice in the am. Again thank you for all of your work in helping us! ♥
I love The Ordinary Squalane cleanser, it breaks up my sunscreen well. I use that first then either Spectro Gel or Cerave.

I really like the Inkey C’Balm, i used to use the Clinique one but this is much cheaper & does the job. The Inkey moisturiser i got was so tiny & didnt bother with that again!! X
I just started using Palmers face cleansing oil. I have sensitive skin and even though the product has Rose hip oil the fragrance is very mild and i haven’t had any issues thus far. Here in Canada 🇨🇦 it sells for less than $10 on Amazon. Probably cheaper in the USA 🇺🇸

The sunscreen chew toy is perfect! I also love the outfit u were wearing at home... the short with that soft jacket thing... cute! I got 2 of that jacket with that material and my favorite is the one from Uniqlo. Bought it 3 weeks ago and I wear it everyday since. I wear it outside and inside cause I just love it.... it’s soft not only on the outside but the inside too.
I also purchased two of those jackets from Uniqlo -- in black, and dark brown!! I love them sooo much!!!

Can you please review the brand Eucerin!? I use their skin calming cream on my face and their toughness relief lotion on my body. I love them but I would love to hear your thoughts.
I use the Eucerin Baby wash and shampoo and Baby lotion on my face per Dr Drays sensitive skin video and it’s wonderful!

Possibly a silly question: do you wipe or rinse off the cleansing oil/balm off before you wash your face? Do you leave it on and wash?
Gina Schroeder Apply the oil on a dry face with dry fingers, massage for a bit to break down makeup/sunscreen/dirt. Then wet your hands and massage the face again to emulsify the oil into a milky consistency and then rinse off with water. Then go in with your second cleanser. Hope that helps! ☺️

Don't know if it's available in the US, but I like the Simple hydrating cleansing oil, it's cheap and lasts a long time. I do rate the Inkey List SA cleanser, it doesn't seem to irritate me like the leave on products do.

I managed to get the Inkey List oat cleansing balm off Sephora last week. I’ve used it 4-5 times so far and it’s so hard to get the balm out of the tube. I’m also not a big fan so far because it isn’t too easy to wash off even though it’s meant to become milky with water. I think I still prefer using the Neutrogena oil for my oil cleanse. I appreciate all your recommendations. Thanks Dr Dray!
