I’ve run a 940 GLE with a D24TIC as my daily for the last few years, was in need of a lot of TLC when I bought it but have been treating it as a rolling restoration, nearly finished now, it’s transformed. Coming up to 300,000 miles and still runs beautifully. Love it!
I just bought a 86 740gle td that had been abandoned for 7 years (in finland thats a death sentence for cars) and it startet up nicely, had nothing done to it. Of course it leaked a bit of diesel, but it ran fine
At the time this model debut it was touted by Volvo as the fastest/quickest diesel car on the market. I'm glad to see that you appreciate it's value and are taking good care of it. By the way, I see that your seats are covered in the same material that was used in my '77 264GL - the model that yours replaced.

nonturbo in a 700 car was impossible here in the usa. even is europe it was not most common. they are good engines too but the d24t fits the 700 better. by fit i mean it fits the power and the style of driving, i`m not talking about the actual fitment. :) go to www.d24t.com it is a volvo diesel and turbodiesel forum where all the d24 d24t owners share priceless information VOLVO FOREVER! bricklife is nice
What id like to know is what needs to be done in order to fit a decent sized rim on the front without having to use spacers....? Seems like the struts are in the way on mine...

Yes that's correct! Pretty cool! It's sold now, but in good hands :) Nice called plush seats. Would love to have a 260!
