“Helplessly Hoping” is another great harmonic work of art by Homefree also if you haven’t already there is a song by a member of Homefree and that would be Tim Foust along with Peter Hollens “Misty Mountains” Both of these are just tremendously great stuff for the ears!!!!
Great reaction! Song was song by Dire Straits in 1985. I absolutely love this version it’s so haunting beautiful.😊 Tim that’s his dragon breath. That’s not even close to how low his bass can go 😂
Their most hauntingly beautiful performance. I still can't hear it without crying a little. My deepest appreciation and respect to our service members and veterans . Thanks for the Home Free reactions. ( I'm pretty sure Tim is a dragon in disguise)
Thank you for sharing your reaction to this sombre tribute to all brothers (and sisters) in arms. Home Free is known for its tight, magnificent harmonies, and for how perfectly their widely ranging voices blend. We forget there are no instruments, and in this one, no beatboxing. Those interludes, and the "amen" at the end, could well be an enormous pipe organ. Great reaction.
Since you liked this, I am sure you will like Home Free's cover of Helplessly Hoping. It is a Crosby Stills and Nash original and became a rather haunting song under Home Free.
This is a great tribute to soldiers all over the world. Mark Knopfler, a Brit, of Dire Straits wrote this song about the Falkland’s War. He is one of the best known guitarists of the last 40 years. I love this version and I’m so in love with this vocal band! 👏🏻 Wow! 😮 They are all so talented. ❤
Not exactly the sound most people associate with "a capella", is it? And while HF's harmonies are always great, this arrangement by Club for Five is magnificent. It uses their talents so well.
This is such a beautifully sad, haunting rendition of the song. My deepest condolences on the loss of your grandfather. Gratitude to all the armed services personnel - their sacrifices have not been in vain. Incidentally Tim, Austin & a consortium of other artists do fund raising for at-risk veterans. There are a couple of live videos where Tim blows out the speakers. Another you might like is "Tim Foust's Vibrations" (mind-blowing)..
Not many react to the video editing! Thank you for that, that it self should have won awards. Bur these guys, that isn't the top of their lists, the music and their fans are.
Great review Home free is so good, been my favorite since I saw them on the Sing off in 2013. Another great song the do that shows how good they are and some great bass is. Do You Hear What I Hear hope you do a review of it since it getting close to the Holidays
If you ever get the chance to attend a concert....DO IT! They are just as amazing live! Keep going down the rabbit hole....After you get to know each member, THEN check out Mayday! HAHA! You will be amazed.....again!! Love your reactions. Keep em coming!
This song is for all Brothers in Arms, not just American soldiers. You don't have to be a Service member in order to support them with your whole heart.
What’s striking about “Brothers In Arms” is just how much Knopfler manages to convey in a minimum of words. With startling efficiency, he inhabits the soul of a wounded soldier who muses on his surroundings and waxes philosophical as his life ebbs out. It seems likely that Knopfler had the Falklands War, which took place in 1982 between the United Kingdom and Argentina, in mind when he wrote the song. But by keeping specifics out of the narrative, he makes the song a timeless treatise on the senselessness of war.
The back three are left to right: Adam Rupp, beatboxer extraordinaire and backup tenor; the middle man, Rob Lundquist, tenor; and on the right, Austin Brown, high tenor. The two front and lead singers, on the left, Adam Chance (called Chance), baritone and bass (4 octave range - tenor to bass) and on the right, Tim Foust, bass to tenor and inbetween (5 octave range).
Tim and Chance are the lead lower voices here in this song, and Adam, Rob, and Austin in the background are tenors. Home Free did a whole patriotic album if you are interested, they have many other songs along those lines. Try the original that Tim wrote, "Land of The Free."
Nope, your repping doesn't bother me a bit (nor should it for anyone else)!!! You have cause and reason, so no worries! I've said it before and I'll continue to say it --- what these guys have is rare, very rare .. and unique! And you've only just begun! Be Safe
One of my favorites of theirs. They are known for their exquisite harmonies. Try Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, The Driver, Brother (a fun one). They also have great Christmas music.
Since you were so mesmerized, you may not have noticed that the beat boxer was singing in this one. He has a great tenor voice, and that 5th harmony part really made some of those chords incredible. Those chords remind me of a pipe organ.
Thanks for another reaction song from Home Free!! I subscribed and can’t wait for some more!! They, Home Free, has a patriotic album out as well plus Tim Foust wrote Land of the Free! It’s a great song and video as well! Thanks again for another great reaction! Have a great night and can’t wait for the next video 😊😊😊
I’m not upset with you about your FLAG. Sounds like you’re just very proud of your family. I ❤ love it. And HOMEFREE is the best vocal band there is. Seriously, I’ve been following them for almost a year now. I know so many of there song. This song brought me to my knees crying. Thank you kind sir for this beautiful song.
They took a Dire Straits classic by Mark Knopfler about a different war which had already been adopted by soldiers world wide and gave it the Home Free treatment.
Subbed for more Home Free. In the description, HF expanded the definition of brothers in arms to include everyone, and to remind us that the infighting amongst ourselves is wrong, for we our fools to fight amongst our brothers (and sisters) in arms. (Paraphrased.) Thanks for a good reaction. BTW Tim is a dragon 🐉! The beatboxer Adam is an alien 👽! 😊
Okay it’s time you checked out some of the beatboxer’s shining lights. 1) Man of Constant Sorrow. He plays an invisible harmonica, and 2) Ain’t Goin Down til the Sun comes up, more “nomonica” as we say and 3)God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and 4) Elvira with the Oakridge Boys …….. I could go on and on. (And I will if you are going down this rabbit hole!!) Oh, and their Christmas songs are great too. Check out Oh Holy Night. I enjoy your reactions. 😊
Great reaction.. such a haunting song. I remember the original and Home Free has certainly done it proud. Never would we judge. (Hi fellow epileptic!) .Fly that flag proudly. If you'd like to hear more military Home Free stuff.. try their version of God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood ... That is awesome.. but have your tissues nearby lol,,,Listen to Adam Rupp (the beatboxers track.. he is truly incredible) New sub here.. ty for all you do! Stay safe!
Great reaction to ine of HF's most emotional songs. The video does capture the sense of haunting with the ghostlike silhouettes. Their 5-part harmony is unlike anyone else. In the middle of the song, we're treated to their signature 'church organ' effect. If not already mentioned, and if you're interested, the guys have a playlist of behind-the-scenes footage called 'The Vault.' (All very funny.) This one may be in there. Given the somberness of the video, a lighthearted juxtaposition is that Tim's huge, white dog, Satchmo, was curled up, sleeping at Chance's feet (baritone, front left) during the recording when you don't see his feet. Appreciate your willingness to serve while circumstances dictated otherwise. Your heart was certainly in the right place. My father served in WWII and the ex in VN. Neither was open about their experience accept when talking with others with whom they shared the bond of that special brotherhood.
I consider this one of their masterpieces!!! Tim is incredible!!!!
you check out when man loves a woman cover by home free
These guys are just as nice and humble as they are talented. How lucky are we to get to experience this?
Home Free is unapologetically patriotic - just another thing to love about them. Thanks! 🍟
Tim, Austin, Chance, Rob and Adam!!!!!
So haunting and beautiful. Unmatched harmonies. It's amazing how mesmerizing they can be just standing still and singing.
Great reaction, to an incredible song. This is the most hauntingly beautiful song that I've ever heard! Thank you for reacting.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole it will be an incredible journey
Tim has a 5 octave range, so he can go almost as high as he can low.
“Helplessly Hoping” is another great harmonic work of art by Homefree also if you haven’t already there is a song by a member of Homefree and that would be Tim Foust along with Peter Hollens

I agree with you
Still cry.
Another one to check out for the great harmonies is How Great Thou Art! I loved your reaction to this video I think you will enjoy How Great Thou Art.

This was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits after the Falkland War between UK and Argentina
Army Brat myself but I have Family in every branch of Military Service. I Respect and Love them all.
Enjoyed the reaction. I look forward to more Home Free. They have a lot of wonderful Christmas music, plus Auld Lang Syne for New Year’s Eve.
Hauntingly beautiful yet sends a powerful message. They sound like a pipe organ. It's one of the rare times there's no beat boxing. Glad you liked it.

Need to check out their cover of Go Rest high on that mountain. The video has to do with military life.
Oh my goddess! That one and this one bring me to tears every bloody time! And I can't get enough of listening to such Beautiful works of musical art.
Don't Laugh at Me makes me cry every time, too ... I have a niece with Down Syndrome.😢
Subwoofer guy who can bust into falsetto 😊
Your heart is in the military.

Tim and Chance were the perfect ones to lead this somber tribute to Fallen soldiers 😢The others in the back 💔 also did AMAZING as background harmonies
There is a video on UA-cam called 22 times tim foust went subwoofer mode!

One of Home Free's best. It gives me chills every time I hear it. Thanks for your reaction.
Subscribing for the Home Free reactions!
Chance is also doing bass, Tim does lowest and Chance above in between verses makes the bass sound super full. Chance is the guy standing next to Tim
One of my favorites of theirs. They are known for their exquisite harmonies. Try Helplessly Hoping, In the Blood, The Driver, Brother (a fun one). They also have great Christmas music.
❤ Beautiful ❤️ Great reaction. 🤠HF is amazing. 🏠🍟
Tim sounds like he's singing from the grave, maybe his own? How can 5 guys sound like a hundred?
Just hit subscribe for more Home Free! Welcome to the home fry world.

New sub Home Fry! Enjoy the journey! Thanks for your reaction!
Did you notice when you could see through Tim and Chance, the panes of the window could look like either cross hairs on a rifle...or a cross?
Glad you appreciated the vocal depth, beautiful harmonies and message of this song.
The best way for me to describe this song is Hauntingly Beautiful
Lovely reaction and great to see the shout out to the higher harmonies of Austin, Rob and Adam!
The bass line at the end wasn't even Tim it was Adam Rupp the beatboxer. If you look back at the video you can see it
Thanks for another reaction song from Home Free!! I subscribed and can’t wait for some more!! They, Home Free, has a patriotic album out as well plus Tim Foust wrote Land of the Free!
