I have owned a Forza 125 for about 18 months and 14,000 miles. I started riding in 1968 and rose up through the ranks and rode BMW and Moto Guzzis until a few years ago. I then found that the weight and running costs of such bikes was becoming too much. Enter the Forza. Whilst it cannot compete with bigger bikes on top speed ,journey time was not so different. I had an SH 300 and still wonder why I sold it, probably because other road users thought it was a 50cc machine and pulled out on me far too frequently. LED lights solve that problem. The Forza 300 will be bought as soon as possible. Many thanks for judging the Forza on its merits rather than your prejudices. Cheers, Tony
Great video I don't know why this country hates scooters so much , the honda you can load up with camping gear and tour round Europe if you wanted they are comfy and you can cruise on the motorway at 75-80mph if you want.
I will keep this simple, 15 minute test ride from Dobles and bike ordered in white with the matching 45ltr top box which can be opened with the remote key, simply a fantastic fit for me and ticks all the boxes for some day and weekend rides, Honda have transformed this Scooter for the better.
How tall are you Mike? I'm struggling to get test rides where I live. Looking at XMax 300 or Forza 300. At 6ft1" the XMax feels roomier but haven't ridden either yet...
45 ltr top boxes are still on back order. Some supplier problem apparently. I've ordered one too and although I now have the bike I'm still waiting for the box. Having had the Forza for a week it is a great size for me (5'8"). If I were 6'1" I'd look at the Xmas 300/400. Forza does ride better, has a smoother engine and better mirrors. The only thing the Xmax edges the Forza on is build quality. Not that the Forza is poor - it's not. It's just that the switch gear, seat opening, fuel filler on the Xmax just feels a bit smoother and less clunky. You wouldn't notice unless you had the Xmax for compare it against.
@@robertmartin9422 Thanks! Had a 2 hr ride on Forza a a few dsys ago and it is lovely, handles well but a bit cramped for me. I plan to use for a round the country tour next year as well as on local routes so will definitely try to get a XMax test ride too. Shame that 400 is so heavy as I'd welcome the extra bhp and twin disk. Hope you enjoy your Forza!!
Thanks Robert. And good luck on the Xmax. You're right about the twin disks - I'd forgotten about that and you will notice the extra stopping power on the front brakes of the Xmax although oddly I found the rear single disk on the Xmax to be not quite up to the job. Maybe it was because of the weight of the Xmax 400 - it certainly felt noticeably heavier that the Forza. The engine note of the Xmax also sounds much throatier which I did quite like. The Forza sounds more refined and well mannered but is very quiet. Sometimes you want to make a bit of noise when filtering to reduce the chance of some muppet not hearing you coming and opening their driver door on you. To be honest scooters have come such a long way that these are both excellent bikes - you really can't go wrong.
Thanks for a great (and enthusiastic!) review. I have the old Forza 300 and love it. It's used as a winter bike and for weekends away the rest of the year. As you say, the new one has totally different styling, traction control, and adjustable screen. At 5' 8" it should fit me perfect. Damn, Mr Fish, you've got me going to my Honda dealer at the weekend to check it out. Thanks again. Ride safe, mate.
@@chaddlesnake On paper 25.2hp for Forza, 28hp for xmax300. In reality it's also about the way the hps are delivered. Forza extremely smooth and linear, almost electrical. Very easy to ride, but without a kick. Xmax more exciting, with a kick the first seconds when you accelerate. I'll test drive the Forza again tomorrow, hopefully it's been broken in a bit by now. Do suspensions become less rigid during the break in period? or is that just for the engine?
Thanks for the info! In regards to the forza suspension, it gets a little better over time.. It is definitely a little jarring for sure. I've never tried the xmax unfortunately. Have you given the new Burgman 400 a test ride yet?
No, but I tested the Forza again today. Still had only 150km on it. Power was better than I remembered from last time, maybe I was careful with the throttle that time. Linear power, but certainly not slow in acceleration. I was afraid it would be a boring bike to ride - this is not the case. Once past 1000 km it will be even better I presume. No need to try the xmax300 again - bought the forza.
Thanks for the great video! I'm trading in my SH 300i and picking up a Forza 350 next week and I'm really looking forward to it. The SH 300i (now being up-graded to a 350) is a great scooter, I've owned 2, but I like the features and stowage on the Forza, although with the slightly smaller wheels I don't expect it to handle quite so well. As with the SH300i, as long as the bike can do 70mph with ease I'll be happy. This segment of the scooter market is crammed with some great bikes, which are extremely popular at the moment.
Excellent video 👍 very complete and elucidative. I did not know your channel and I was very surprised by the good disposition that it presents and by the fluid language and easy to understand. The video is very well structured and you approach all aspects in a very clear way. Thanks for sharing. Big hug
A great review. Very informative, but I agree with previous person. Please could you do a comparison with the Yamaha Xmax 300. Here in Thailand the choice is between the new Forza 2019 and the new xmax 300 2019. It's a dilemma that comes up time and time again on the forums. Especially for a tall person like me (and you), another great review on the Yamaha Xmax 300 would be welcomed.
I was intending to buy a Forza but had the same issues as you with the leg room. Seemed ideal for both urban and rural/mountain road driving here in Chiang Mai. Glad in the end I went for my Versys x300 for the comfort.
Ian.you seem pretty satisfied with Shadowfax but mrfish is 6-2 and 215 lbs, you are ?-?, I'm 6-0 and now about 195 lbs, I guess I will just have to test drive, just wondering about your size as you mentioned that the Forza cramped your style.
Thanks mr fish. Xmax 300 looks better on paper? I have the last version and think it's great. Used to look past scooters but since owning one as a daily rider am a convert.
Just a quick follow up on my Forza, has it's first service, and now done 800 miles, no problems whatsoever, great fun to ride and comfy. Now for the bad stuff, nothing wrong with the bike, but Honda, what were you thinking about when you priced the heated grips and the fancy top box? Honda grips around £480.00 fitted, I know I can get others cheaper, and wait for it £750.00 for the top box including the rack and plate, but not sure if it includes fitting, passed on both and got a Givi rack and box, fitted in under 10 mins. If you take in depreciation from riding the bike off the forecourt, the price of the bits mentioned is around 25-30% the cost of the whole bike, don't think Honda will be selling many of those.

Great to finally see the 300 on test... trading up from the Forza 125 to either the 300.or NC750.. My local dealer isnt expecting the 300 till mid August..
Great scoop! Just saw one in my dealer today, it looks fantastic. Will get a demo to see how it compares to my 2016 Forza 300. I love it, comfortable, 85mpg, good underseat storeage, cruises at 70mph with the larger screen fitted, stops and handles well. Suspension a bit budget but back off rear preload one notch improves it. I am 5' 11" weigh 82 kgs and have no problem, rode 250 miles to Paris and really enjoyed it. The new model is lighter so should be even better. Thanks for a great review.
Hi Splodge. I have a 2016 Forza 300. Yesterday I took the new one for a test ride. Yep, the new one is slimmer, lighter and has a slightly shorter wheelbase and larger wheels. I felt it handled better than my 2016 model. The main difference was the riding position. You are higher up which gives better views and I felt more commanding. Same, great, smooth as silk engine. The adjustable screen was a gem for me at 5' 8". I was impressed. I've ordered one!
@@marcinpiak3540 hi, thanks for the reply, hope you like your new bike. Still waiting for a test ride to check the amount of leg room, I'm 5' 11". They look great.
Hi Splodge 57. Had my new Forza a month now, really enjoying it. Pros over my old one - The screen makes a difference; I prefer the higher riding position; didn't think I'd like the keyless ignition, now I wouldn't be without it; handles even better; has a useful petrol/mileage range on the dash. Cons - mirrors aren't great (for me at 5' 8"). It still has the same peach of an engine, as you say, 70mph all day, excellent mpg, and excellent brakes. Enjoy your test ride. Ride safe always. All the best.
Mr fish I am 6'3...i have an 2010 sh300...can you recomend a good scooter similar to forza or sh that is more ergonomic? I have the same issue with seats being cut too far forward...love your vids.
Cracking review covering all the little technical details prospective owners want to know such as the keyless functions, digidash operation, lighting, brakes and storage space. Almost as good as a trip to the dealers....maybe better! Only thing missing is detailed performance such as how quick is it off the line and when cruising at 70 is there any left for overtakes and does it feel up to those situations. I guess that's a bit too much to ask plus it's very subjective and would need a benchmark to compare it with then viewers would need experience of the benchmark bike too.
David Milnes very hard to test these things on a brand new bike . New engine , tyres etc it sat at 70 mph no problem with more to go .. the acceleration as you say is subjective, it felt quick enough
Thanks Mr fish, you got in there quick with this one! I am thinking of trading in my nc700 integra (my commute maxi scooter) for one of these. I've been wait 9months to get some decent footage of one. Just one thing, do you think that the brakes are linked type? The mpg is a major selling point and light weight in my mind. Thanks again. A
the previous older Forza has more legroom, perhaps due to its smaller wheels and thus more chassis space . I can stretch my legs pretty well at 180cm tall. Engine is same, but new one is definitely more sleek and package....
Nice review and bike. I've also owned a SH300i amongst my list of bikes and scooters but am very disappointed that Honda haven't given this a bit more power. Its more than 10% down on power compared to my 28hp 2010 model SH300i (which is lighter than the Forza) and having another 5hp or so would help a lot on open road situations especially 2up & make it more competitive with Xmax 300 etc. I fear that makes it a non starter for me. The SH300i could just touch a true GPS 80mph without pillion and last 10mph took so long. Just don't feel this is adequate for a mid sized bike. Shame, Honda's other 300cc road bike, the CB300R has enough hp, yet doesn't have the accommodation & Honda refuse to make luggage for it. Whilst the two bikes may not appear to be in the same market, many people WOULD consider either for a light 2nd machine. Sadly, don't think the company is making the most of its assets. CB needs luggage, Forza needs the CB's engine.
Thank you very much, not just for the info on the scoot, but actually more so for the tour around Chipstead, Walton 0n the Hill, Box Hill, Dorking etc. :-) .... My stamping ground before moving to Bolivia and Brazil where I've been for the last forty years .
Enjoyed the review as I have done your others - as I currently own a 2013 SH300 and may change soon, would your money go on the X Max 300 or the Forza 300?
I sat on the Forza down at P&H and it didn't feel quite right to me though riding it may be different. I'm keeping my SH300 for now but for me, the XMax 300 seems to edge it
@@wildnfrantic1015 had a SH300i a few years ago and also have owned a TMax more recently; test rode the Forza a month ago but sadly too small for me to get comfortable on. Will test ride XMax as feels nicer to sit on and seat slightly higher.
Picked mine up on Saturday and loving it! Tried XMAX 300 and had to ask if they’d given me a 125 by mistake. New Forza 300 has much more get up and go. On down side, only top box that fits is the new 45L box that works with digital key fob and none in UK yet.
John Taylor Lovely looking bike! Hope you enjoy it. Can you share a few more thoughts on contrast with XMax? On paper XMax a lot more powerful. Even my 28hp 2010 SH300i would only just top 80mph so a bit worried about this model which is 3hp less. Also what are your thoughts about size and comfort? I'm 6'1" with 32" inside leg..
Robert Marsh - I test rode the Forza 300 and X Max 300 back to back today. I'm also 6'1" with 32" inside leg. Comfort was better on the Forza. Its seat seemed slightly higher to me - which meant a more natural hip angle. I rode the Forza first and thought the engine was incredibly smooth and when I opened the throttle, acceleration was smooth and effortless. When I first got on the XMax 300 my initial thoughts were the same as John Taylor - seemed like I was on a scooter with less power - and the engine was much more agricultural sounding. I got use to the Yamaha after 10-15 minutes and its a nice scooter. However, I thought the Honda looked better, had a smoother engine, slightly more comfortable and also a more forgiving suspension. Honda went over potholes quite well - Yamaha a bit stiffer. Never got anywhere near top speed - so can't really comment on that. I'd be using it for commuting into central London - either will do that very well. I'm going for Honda - for reasons given above - and I trust Honda build quality.
Gary Oliver thanks for your reply and detail on this. I need to make some appointments to test ride. Both bikes sound very interesting but the Forza is tempting. Hope I'm not too disappointed with such a midi scoot after my TMax but the reality is that bike had too big an overlap with my BMW boxers in any case, and often wasn't ridden. I really enjoyed my old SH300i, which I found more comfortable than the TMax which though I loved, placed a lot of weight on my cocix, restricting longer journeys. Realistically the 300 is planned for 1hr or so trips 2-up in Wiltshire and Oxon area though I have a plan to tour the UK on it next year as a project. Good luck with your bike!
Gary, thanks for the comments re the XMax 300 power - Given the number of XMax's I see around London I was starting to think that I imagined the lack of power. Have about 90 miles on mine at the moment from commuting from S. London to Waterloo and I am loving the Forza 300. Very responsive, comfortable, smooth. Additionally LOTS of storage under the seat which helps as I'm still waiting for the top box. I have a Harley Davidson that's feeling a bit neglected as the Honda is getting all the attention - at the moment. So far I've not found anything I don't like other than everything enclosed in 'scooter panels' unlike a Harley. The next weekend project is to find a power connection for the Sat Nav. For mounting a sat nav, the handle bars still have the threaded sockets for last year's mirrors with some plastic plugs screwed into them. You can get a 10mm screw in RAM mount ball which screws in nicely where the 'old' mirrors were. Gary, I think you'll really be pleased when you get yours!
Although I'd never have a scooter (really?) I admire this huuuuuuuge pack of features it brings! I'd love to have a similar cockpit on my Honda CB 500 F! This scooter is so feature-laden at a ridiculously low price, wow! A real high-tech piece of engineering, well done, Honda, and thanks a lot for the entertaining video, Mr Fish 😁 !
Looks like a fun ride. I live in Thailand and want to buy one of these, actually probably the 350 because why not. It looked like you were really moving. How fast did you get up to? How stable is it at 120 kph?
I kept my Forza just about a year and rode it most of the time. Eventually though I missed the power of a larger scooter. The mirrors on the Forza are too far inboard and without added blind spot mirrors are pretty useless. The headlight is useless as per most LED types especially in rain. The keyless system is not a problem, works well and is secure as it has an OFF switch to prevent being cloned/hacked or whatever. Good bike but as it turned out, not for me, OK for commuting but not for longer rides or touring. Swapped it for a MaxSym 600i.
Excellent Video, For me riding a 300cc scooter, I would say it is a 1 person Max bike. No passengers then build/modify the seat for that purpose. If I used it as a 1 rider bike then I would make a custom seat, with either or both a Higher/thicker seat foam/padding, and either remove or move back the seat backrest for the single rider. As a thicker foam seat would get you further away from the foot rests providing more leg room and getting the Back rest further back, or eliminating it altogether would be another benefit for long legs. where the back rest starts to where it finishes looks to be about 5 inches or so meaning you have about that much room to go back and maintain that low seat height, or go both up a little and back.
or if you dont want to mod the seat get a "Air Hawk" seat cushion, as those will raise you up and add an Air ride cushion to the seat for added comfort it may be enough.
Why 1 person? I ride with 2 on my 250 and its fine as for speed hit hold 65 easy as for turning im extra careful i take them slow when i have someone with me
I have an Africa Twin (from Dobles too - nice to see all the roads around Chipstead/Walton!) for commuting into town etc, but think I may chop it in for one of these and treat myself to a weeked special. Best of both worlds... Nice review.
I've ordered a new Forza 300cc upgrading from the 125cc version. I'm curious if Honda have any thoughts on a new SilverWing? What a scooter that would be.
The cb 500 is a lot saver to ride all weather's but the scooter Forza 300 would have a big bloblem in windy conditions with no wind Forza very good with wind a bit scary CB 500 a mutch secure ride I would go for CB 500 x or f with a box fitted
Compared to the Forza 125 it definitely is. The 125 really struggles beyond 70kph because of its weight. This one can easily keep up with traffic and hold highway speeds comfortably
I rode one from Pai to Chiang Mai through the mountains in northern Thailand, waiting at the traffic lights I think many Thai people will have trouble placing both feet on the ground.
Just been down to Dobles, tested and ordered one. I mentioned you name Mr. Fish! Had my new Xmax 400 stolen a few weeks ago (********!!!). The Forza fits me better with a lower seat height (I'm 5'8") and it's also slightly narrower which helps. The Forza also handles better but I miss the slight extra grunt of the 400. Took the Forza on the M25 just to make sure it could cope and it was stable at 70. Much better mirrors than the Yamaha. Think the Xmax had a slightly more quality feel (petrol cap cover, seat catch etc.) but overall I think this will be an improvement on the Yamaha. Great looking scooter. Also comes with free Datatool tracker which after my recent experience is a must...
Rob Martin Good luck with the new bike! Very sorry you've had your XMax 400 taken. Out of interest, why the Forza and not the XMax 300? I live in Wilts and struggling to get test rides right now though sitting on the Forza and the XMax the latter seems better suited to my 6'1". I've had a SH300i some years back and a lovely TMax more recently, but just couldn't get on with the riding position of the TMax (weight on cocix causing back pain) so ended up taking out my BMW boxer even on shorter rides...hence looking for a compromise.
I'd just come down from a CBF 1000 and ideally didn't want to go as small as a 300. In the 400 world it was either the Bergman (which I didn't really like) or the Xmax. Having read the reviews and tried the Xmax 400 I knew the seat height might be a bit of a challenge (800 mm seems to be higher than pretty much every other scooter on the market) but I could just about live with it. The Xmax 300 has the same seat height so no benefit going for that. Obviously 6 months ago when I bought the Xmax, Honda had nothing comparable. The only real down side of the Xmax was the seat height - apart from that it was great. At 6'1" you should find it perfect - I think you may find the Forza a bit small. The handlebar reach on the Xmax is also adjustable so that may help your back issue. What I really want is Forza 400 but hey, you can't have everything!
@@robertmartin9422 Thanks that's really helpful. The XMax did indeed feel a bit more spacious for me when I sat on it plus the Forza in the showroom. I'm a little concerned the Forza will be be cramped. Agree 100% re a Forza 400!! My old SH300i was lovely but a little slow as I do lots of 2 up (for which my BMW Boxers are great..but they're heavy and I like having something to just hop on, go and manoeuvre at low speed easily or from the ground). I thought the TMax would be perfect, but I just can't get on with the riding position with my dodgy back and need something a bit more upright. BTW my GPS top speed of the (28ps) 2010 SH300i was 80mph, I suspect the Forza will be similar. OK acceleration to 70, but not really much good for overtaking beyond 60mph without a long straight. If the Forza is anything like it, it'll be a great commuter and good handler though.
Well mine has arrived, looks gorgeous, sounds a bit tame on standard silencer but I can live with that. Bought a used top box for £80 and the OEM rack as the keyless OEM box is not coming to the UK initially and even a keyed box is best part of £400 with the VAT. Going to winterproof it before venturing out and it's a shame to get it mucky. Very pleased so far.
mr fish - thanks for another great review. Given that you've had an SH300, can i ask a question? Which scooter, in your opinion, would be best for commuting into the City of London everyday - Forza 300 or SH300? I'm guessing SH300 as its slimmer and lighter? Thanks
The chronicles of mr fish Hello from Prague. Could you elaborate more? I have sh125i and planning to upgrade to forza 300 for more power outside the city. Why do you think sh would be better for commute?
Is it me or the whole dashboard area look like Olaf from Frozen... Maybe been around my children a little too much already! Good review though. Makes me wanna consider a scooter now.
I have a couple 50cc scooters. I have a Harley Fat Boy too. I use the scooters way more than the Harley. They are just so convenient. Why take the Harley to the local stores? But if I need to get on the interstate the Harley is the way to go. But for round town, the scooters are sooooo much better.

I've just tuned into your channel and I'm going to love this review. I've been excitedly waiting this 300cc Forza scooter UK release since March. I've got a two year old Honda Forza 125 cc scooter and although it's fabulous, it's a little uncomfortable on long journeys and I'm 5'9. I'd love to upgrade to the larger scooter. Thank you for your review Sir.
Liked your review but would be interested to know your inside leg measurement. I'm 6'1" with 32" inside leg. Wondering if it will be big enough. My SH300i was ok for short journeys but only ever took it on one longer ride. My subsequent TMax fitted sort of ok, but seat backrest in the wrong position and it hurt my cocix, so sold it for a conventional bike. Would still like another scoot though....

Thanks very much Mr. Fish for this. Yes, I think you were the first in Europe to actually test it outside of Monaco where it was just presented to the public. Since I'm in the process of doing my A2, I am not sure which one to get. Could you also maybe test ride the Honda Forza 125 (2019) and compare them when it comes to the power? I think there is no too much of a difference, is there!?
wow, you did get in quick as my dealer doesn't even know when they will get one..i had the older one 3 years ago. traded it for an NC700. an had 2 more NC 750's since as well.. but looking for more comfort , my knee's are not a huge fan of the normal bike bent knee's you do.. although i'm only 5"9, so it would fit .. seen a price of around £5000 for the forza.

I found that people say on forums that the Forza is more comfortable, but I rode both the Forza and the Xmax300 and found the suspension on the Forza harsh over potholes and cracked roads, while the xmax i found more forgiving. Anyone else has that experience?
Yes that's right. Having had a new Xmax 400 for 6 months (before it was nicked) and now the Forza I'd agree. The Xmax has a softer ride but I think that is the price you pay for the Forza having better handling. For what it's worth I believe you can adjust the suspension on both bikes so to some extent to can choose the comfort vs handling balance.
You have to soften the rear preload on the Forza. My 2016 is on the softest position and I weigh 82 kg. Did think of buying a pair of Hagon shocks as I love the bike.
Yes that helps. I test rode again and was happy with the suspension. It's very good over small bumps actually. The big bumps you feel but not too bad actually. Problem solved, bought the Forza.
roces 5th Vespa is quicker, old school looking and has reliability issue from my research. The Forza is nearly as quick, futuristic looking, has tons of storage, and is super reliable... well it’s a Honda so that’s why I say that. I researched both and chose the Forza 300. I love the thing!
I own a vespa gts 300 and ive ridden for a whole day the forza 300. Honda is actually faster (top speed and more power) but Vespa is quicker from the start and the front end is lighter. Also it has no windshield. That makes the vespa feels quicker. Vespa is more fun to ride, honda is better but less sensations. I decided it didnt worth the upgrade.
thanks for your review I'm thinking about jump from pcx to Forza,I;m just a bit scared that is it to big for zigzaging between the cars here in Bangkok......
Great review👍 I have a honda pcx 125, 17 plate, also a Honda VTEC, I've made my mind up and going to sell them both and get the 300 Forza in blue /silver, only done 3k miles on my VFR in 4 years, plus it's getting to heavy for me, the joys of getting older and wiser lol
The weight isn’t an issue trust me, im only a 60kg rider myself, and ride a z800 which weighs over 210kg , once you master clutch controll you dont feel the weight ever
Jos Koevoet just a strange thing to ask that’s all , go to the dealer and they should have a range of locks to try on it . I don’t think even Honda give the specs on size on hole
@@Mrfish2015 precisely because this info is not available online i thought it would add value here. Dealer is far away and closed over the weekend, that's why i thought to ask the community here. Anyway, no probs if nobody anwers.
Great review. I’ve got a Vespa gts 125 at the moment. And taking an a1 mod 1 and 2 shortly. And have fallen in love with the forza. Don’t suppose you’ve tried the 125 Forza version have you?
Love the bike but this guy needs some serious talking to about road safety . He is very exuberant but his hands are all over the place at one point he took both hands off the handlebars. If he had hit a pothole or raised object or gravel in the road he would have been off, no doubt about it.. You can't use your rear brake if your hands are flying elsewhere. His road positioning is poor, his forward vision at times is negligible. Needs some serious training. May suggest an Advances course or just a CBT?
@@Mrfish2015 Would be a lie if I said that I havn't, just like most other riders but there is a big, big difference between the occasional hands off with some 99.9% of keeping one's hands on and the 99% of the time riding one handed, waving your arm about like a demented gorilla which is what you were doing for basically most of the length of the video. For goodness sake.
Hi I'm torn between the SH350 & Forza350 and unfortunately can not get a demo of either in my county! so would really value your opinion on handling differences between these models (appreciate they may be a little different from the 300's), i ride a super naked so obviously like handling but also value the extra storage and protection of the Forza. Do you think the Forza can be pushed in the same manor that the SH can or are there significant differences? Best wishes.
My personal opinion is that forza is the way to go. Of course sh is an all time classic (sh 150-300 are setting the standard for years now), but as you mention, in protection, storage and practicality forza has a lot more to offer. Of course sh feels more powerful and nimble because its lighter, but forza has the same engine and is not really heavy on its own (184 kg wet weight). I had the same dilemma as you, i made my mind and now im eagerly waiting my forza 300 in two days. Hope this was helpful, all the best mate!
@@giorgos-1189 Thanks for your comments and best wishes with your new Forza, I have just managed to ride back to back on country roads the SH and Forza 350 with my wife on the back and will be getting a new Forza 350. The main reason is that the Forza is dramatically more stable with a passenger at slow manoeuvring speeds (the SH loads up the rear suspension more and makes the bike feel like its trying to lift the front wheel) . Obviously some pros and conns here, but this one point made the decision easy.
About the same, maybe a little bit easier, but if i'm not mistaken the service intervals are 8k or 16k for valve adjusts. Honda's are rarely out of adjustment unless the owner hasn't changed the oil often / maintained it.
Dont look past your 15 Forza too much. Its unique looking with rounded looks with big beautifil bright headlights. It also has better footroom than the latest Forza along with a great looking dash. I love my 15 Forza like crazy.
...i had this machine and, if you are under 6' in height, you should be able to ride it almost all day long with as much comfort as a touring bike. The engine felt like it had twice the displacement and the bike would cruise at 70mph without any sign of being strained.
S _ I I did 1,200kms in 4 days on one as a test drive, on Thailands A & B roads including a mountain pass and an hour on the highway at 125km/hr, loved every second. Very comfortable, and confident even at almost 400km one day, and I'm not used to long distance bike riding, so exceptional. Just lacked a bit of pick up on a steep mountain section, but certainly not an issue on balance overall, particularly if you're touring and not racing.
not bad just tat the handles is abit low for me and the mirrors cant see wats directly behind...i am 183cm, used to ride a tmax and i can almost straighten my legs forward
The best review so far for Forza 300
Norazlan Shah Noradzman 👍
Hi Robert, I'm 5'8 & 29" inseam and it fits me like a glove, but try to get a test ride to find out which one will suit you.
Is it me or does the view of the dash and bars from your camera angle look like bumble bee transformer
This man can talk a lot !! I hope Honda is sponsoring you, that's a great review !
jgdaprem tell them 😁
The coolest thing about scooters is you have a non toxic community which often tour together in my country which is nice
I have a 2015 Forza 300 and absolutely love the bike. I wish they would make a 500cc variant of this new styling, that would be the perfect scoot!
Yes, or just a bit more grunt as in the xmax 300.
Do you happen to know the Horse Power difference between the 2 bikes? Xmax vs Forza?
Hey Mr. Fish, the 2021 Forza 350 is out .... not that I need to tell you that, but will you do a video review of it? Thanks. Love from Scotland, X.
How difficult is it to source and change out the rear suspension (shocks, springs...) for larger riders?
Excellent video 👍 very complete and elucidative. I did not know your channel and I was very surprised by the good disposition that it presents and by the fluid language and easy to understand. The video is very well structured and you approach all aspects in a very clear way. Thanks for sharing. Big hug
I watched your reviews and comparisons of the Forza, you didn't do too bad either, despite the fact that I don't speak Portuguese.
Which bike is better the Forza 300 or XMAX 300?
Do a comparison video between forza and the yamaha xmax 300

I thought exactly the same. I'm getting a Givi bix as well. No need to drill two holes in the bike I hope? (as on givi on xmax).
Well at 800 miles i should fucking hope not.

Thanks for a great review.
should handle better as they've changed the fork angle
Don't think the brakes are linked there is nothing on the website to say so
Great review mate, would it happily sit at 70-80 on motorways without stressing the engine out? Cheers.
I can say that the old model comfortably sat at 70-80mph so this newer version should be okey for those speeds
the previous older Forza has more legroom, perhaps due to its smaller wheels and thus more chassis space .
Is it possible to source a seat set back a bit as you desired for larger/taller riders?
Enjoyed the review as I have done your others - as I currently own a 2013 SH300 and may change soon, would your money go on the X Max 300 or the Forza 300?
Wild nFrantic haven’t ridden the xmax
I'm also very interested in the difference between the Forza 300 and the Xmax 300. If you have any extra feedback, feel free to share
How many accidents occur on this road on a monthly basis?
Quite a few caused by bikers who don't keep their hands on the bars, preferring to flay them around in the air.
@@fingerhorn4 So you've never taken one hand off your steering wheel before?
Pls send it to me in west Africa and God will bless you
Excellent Video, For me riding a 300cc scooter, I would say it is a 1 person Max bike.
I ride with 2 on my 250 and its fine as for speed hit hold 65 easy as for turning im extra careful i take them slow when i have someone with me
Excellent review. Funny and very informative. Nice job!
Have 2001 Honda reflex nss 250.. love it!! It's fast, fun, rock solid.. bulletproof. New one looks killer. Mines paid for.
If compared with the PCX 125, would you say there's more leg room for tall riders on the Forza 300? Or pretty much the same? Thanks
To be honest I can’t remember this was a while ago . Sorry
@@Mrfish2015 that's fine, don't worry 🙂 thanks for the response! ;)
How is the forza 300 compared to the 125 in terms of power?
I hope they bring this to the US and would be even better if they brought over the X -ADV as I wanna upgrade from my 50 cc metropolitan
If you had to choose between the forza 300 or the cb 500X for daily commuting. Which one would you choose? Greetings from Portugal
Xmax 300
Xmax 300 has a very very good engine, but it is very small, no leg room at all (for a 180cm man).
Forza 300 is better than Xmax 300
The cb 500 is a lot saver to ride all weather's but the scooter Forza 300 would have a big bloblem in windy conditions with no wind Forza very good with wind a bit scary CB 500 a mutch secure ride I would go for CB 500 x or f with a box fitted
Marco Sá CB 500 mutch saver
Is it considerably faster than a 125
Depends what considerably means to you
Compared to the Forza 125 it definitely is. The 125 really struggles beyond 70kph because of its weight. This one can easily keep up with traffic and hold highway speeds comfortably
Thanks for the excellent review.
Did you tried the Honda NC750 integra?
CYGNUS-X1 not yet , I did the xadv though
it s for thai people, short legs...will go honda shop soon to make a video here in pattaya.
I'm short. & yes.. i think i can ride this bike.. i've see it live.:)
Rob Martin lucky they didn’t put the price up 😂
Well mine has arrived, looks gorgeous, sounds a bit tame on standard silencer but I can live with that. Bought a used top box for £80 and the OEM rack as the keyless OEM box is not coming to the UK initially and even a keyed box is best part of £400 with the VAT. Going to winterproof it before venturing out and it's a shame to get it mucky.
Very pleased so far.
What a beauty!
Looks like a good bike, I prefer the look of the SH300 but there are very few reviews.
Did you do one on that.

mr fish - thanks for another great review. Given that you've had an SH300, can i ask a question? Which scooter, in your opinion, would be best for commuting into the City of London everyday - Forza 300 or SH300? I'm guessing SH300 as its slimmer and lighter? Thanks
It will be a close one , purely for commuting the sh300 (if you don't need the storage)
The chronicles of mr fish Hello from Prague. Could you elaborate more? I have sh125i and planning to upgrade to forza 300 for more power outside the city. Why do you think sh would be better for commute?
Petr Rybák simply bigger wheels , handling and it’s slimmer .. it’s close though
Love your work Sir. Hi from Australia
Thanks , and g’day
Hello on your test ride did you notice it crashes and clonks behind the clocks over bumps or ruts in the road ..
Hi, great videos for this scooter and the 2019 pcx125. Which of the two scooters would you prefer to own if money was no object? Thanks, and love from Scotland, x.
Inquisitive1 300 more luxury better handling and faster
@@Mrfish2015 Thanks for replying. Gave you a mention / passed on your hugs to Mike at Doble today via email!! I didn't get the trade-in deal that I was after, but hey ho, off to try with another dealer for a lovely Forza 300. Love from Scotland, X :-)
Inquisitive1 I bet he was in shock 😂
Hi i like this review on the Forza 300 i think the bike look`s great it`s been 35 years since i road a bike so i was a bit uneazy i hope you will try out the Yamaha Tricity 300 i would love to hear what you think about it ok Thank`s
Just come to your site after following Bruce and Dicky Vegas for a while. Running a R9t Urban Gs. Looking at getting a scooter for London commuting. Narrowed it down to the Forza 300 or the Yamaha Xmax 300. (Ridden the Xmax and was pleasantly amazed by its capabilities) Would be interested if you were to do a back to back comparison
Yamaha have never really been forthcoming for us you tubers
@@Mrfish2015 missing a trick then ! how you getting on with your Shark spartan GT, need a new lid and it seems to fit the bill- better price than the shoei gt air or neotech 2
I have 2017 Africa twin, and want to get this one for daily commute. What is your opinion owning both? How does it work for you after a year?
I've read the new ones are not as fast top end as the older due to a new transmision, is that true?
Question,
Just looking at a Sh300 would you say it’s a quicker bike more agile, than the Forza 300???
wow, you did get in quick as my dealer doesn't even know when they will get one..i had the older one 3 years ago. traded it for an NC700. an had 2 more NC 750's since as well.. but looking for more comfort , my knee's are not a huge fan of the normal bike bent knee's you do.. although i'm only 5"9, so it would fit .. seen a price of around £5000 for the forza.
Hi mr Fish! Me is as long and heavy as you are, maybe U can test the Kymco Xciting 2018? It's has a adjustible seat!?
With it being keyless ignition and there being no secondary key. How do you access the battery which is under the seat if the battery is flat?
Seems great. Pity about the screen buffeting.
Will be different for different people
I'm also 6'2" 214 lbs I would love to get myself a scooter my question is out of the scooter you have ridding which is the best fit .
We possibly share same leg length so any tips on best bikes/scooters re easiest to live with would be really appreciated! I have just passed up on a Tricity 125 and Super Cub for above reasons so next bike/scooter must be 'the one'! Regards, Hugh. ( nothing big mind you weight wise )
I own a supercub so not the best for advice lol , go sit on everything yo like the look of , it will soon make sense
@@robertmartin9422 Thanks. Why did you choose the forza over the xmax 300?
You have to soften the rear preload on the Forza. My 2016 is on the softest position and I weigh 82 kg. Did think of buying a pair of Hagon shocks as I love the bike.
Yes that helps. I test rode again and was happy with the suspension. It's very good over small bumps actually. The big bumps you feel but not too bad actually. Problem solved, bought the Forza.
I love a good enthusiast. Nice review. Good info. And I think I even had fun watching it... 100%.
Great review. How does it compare to vespa gts 300? Funwise.
Thank you for creating a review that doesn't contain an Indian accent.
Have you ever ridden a Piaggio MP3?
No
which scooter is better, honda forza 300 vs vespa gts300??
roces 5th Vespa is quicker, old school looking and has reliability issue from my research. The Forza is nearly as quick, futuristic looking, has tons of storage, and is super reliable... well it’s a Honda so that’s why I say that. I researched both and chose the Forza 300. I love the thing!
Gts300 is said to be faster but i dont like the riding position. This right here for me is better. But it comes down to what one you like better
Watch for rust on Vespa very susceptible where battery stored At bottom
thanks for your review I'm thinking about jump from pcx to Forza,I;m just a bit scared that is it to big for zigzaging between the cars here in Bangkok......
Hi David , I'm of the same opinion , I have a PCX also and want to change it .
Even being in a taxi in Bangkok scares me LOL.
David, you need a dodgem car for zig zagging in BK, or big cahones. Seriously it shouldn't be a problem. Hire one for the day and try it out.
How do you rate it against the Suzuki Burgman 400
Haven’t ridden a burger for a while last time was about 10 years ago so couldn’t really say
I'd like to know what's the diameter of the holes in the discs. What disc locks are compatible / would a 6 mm pin fit, or 8, 10, or even 12 mm?
Jos Koevoet are you being serious?
@@Mrfish2015 yes. I ordered a forza and now i want to order locks.
Or do i miss something?
Jos Koevoet just a strange thing to ask that’s all , go to the dealer and they should have a range of locks to try on it . I don’t think even Honda give the specs on size on hole
@@Mrfish2015 precisely because this info is not available online i thought it would add value here. Dealer is far away and closed over the weekend, that's why i thought to ask the community here. Anyway, no probs if nobody anwers.
Where can you put a phone to be use as Sat Nav?
Any where you can fit it
Buy an Accessory from UA-cam 👍
great video thinking of downgrading to a scooter would this take over to france or spain and back
My dealer says no problem. Maintenance every 12 000km !
Lol , thanks for your concern mum . I guess you’ve never opened your visor whilst moving or waved at anyone 😉
For goodness sake.
judgedredd49 Jesus Christ shut up
Hi I'm torn between the SH350 & Forza350 and unfortunately can not get a demo of either in my county! so would really value your opinion on handling differences between these models (appreciate they may be a little different from the 300's), i ride a super naked so obviously like handling but also value the extra storage and protection of the Forza.
@@Tim955w Nice! Ride safe and enjoy 😎
Why do you ride super naked?..I mean, .isn't that a tad chilly round the nether regions?
How easy is it to check the valves? The PCX is an ordeal.
About the same, maybe a little bit easier, but if i'm not mistaken the service intervals are 8k or 16k for valve adjusts. Honda's are rarely out of adjustment unless the owner hasn't changed the oil often / maintained it.
i have the 2016 red forza, everyone likes it. this one is nice too. i might upgrade
Oh great, I just bought a 2015 Forza.
I really liked the adjustable windshield on the '19 Forza.
Dont look past your 15 Forza too much. Its unique looking with rounded looks with big beautifil bright headlights. It also has better footroom than the latest Forza along with a great looking dash. I love my 15 Forza like crazy.
Nice video and beautiful scooter. Can you travel 300-400 km in the day on national and mountain roads? Or is the engine too small?
...i had this machine and, if you are under 6' in height, you should be able to ride it almost all day long with as much comfort as a touring bike.
Liked and subscribed.Candid review and opinion about the Forza300. Great sense of humour ! Lovely looking right sleeve you got there.
try the Kymco 300I and tell me if the forza is different and which is more powerful, stable.
Little John don’t know haven’t ridden the kymco
if you can try to test the xciting 300i.
Thanks for the video , can you link to the 2019 colour range
This or the xmax300?
Honda hands down
thanks
xmax is better, more power
Miguel Dias What do you mean?
more 5 hp, yamaha always beats honda in power, and im an honda fanboy, but yamaha is better
Maybe you can try SUZUKI Burgman 400,that bike's handlebar is very close to the rider.
Is the Forza 300 controllable in winds I just wouder I do notice every video I see the weather is so carm
Never really had a problem on any bike in the wind , you adjust to the conditions ..
How does it feel over the bumps
Need your help - am about to buy one BUT this Forza OR extra and get an Integra 750?
depends on usage really, but why would you get an integra instead of a 750s dct? doesn't the integra have no storage?
Thanks for the informational and entertaining video!
Thanks for watching
