I’ve seen a lot of these fake jerseys and assumed that they were low quality, “value” versions and not frauds. The idea being an economical price point, almost a tribute.
Your analysis and review was very good and now it’s clear to me that these are not official and are simply counterfeit knockoffs.

Great video man. SADLY, we are all being fooled by Adidas. They advertise their jerseys as authentic, even though they're not. They're actually made in indonesia at very low costs. The actual authentic jerseys are the ones that the players wear and those are made in Canada. Unfortunately you can't get them from retail because Adidas does not allow it. One way to get them is to buy game worn jerseys, I know that the Canadiens sell those on their website. I am planning to buy one and compare it to a regular 200$ adidas jersey (sorry for the long read).

What bothers me most is when fake jerseys are passed on as a real one and priced at $350 rather then $50. If you paid $50 for a fake one and your not getting ripped off, then it's Ok.
I have a fake Tavares jersey because of how expensive they are and I'm scared to wear it for being ridiculed that it's fake. I love it as it's from my family but like even the C on the front isn't straight. That's why I cried opening my Christmas present this year and having an adidas Barzal jersey. It's womens size (as I'm a woman) so we saved money but man wish they wouldn't over price jerseys.

I have a few real jerseys and a few fake...in my opinion, the only problem about wearing/owning a fake jersey is if you're trying to pass it off as authentic..I'm not tryna spend $150+ on a jersey I'll wear only a few times 🤷♂️
I dont remember which website i bought it off of, but it looked legit. I ordered a real Rebok jersey, and two weeks later i got that fake one in the mail. I knew it was fake as soon as i opened it and saw the subban lettering. I sent it to you anyway cause i also only want authentic ones and you can find it a home faster than i can.
I will happily send you a Jersey from the whitley bay warriors my local team from the North East of England. We play in the 3rd tier of British ice hockey league format, play in front of 300-900 loyal fans and it would be great to see someone across the pond showing some support. Only ice rink within 60 miles.... Love them!

adidas is much harder to replicate than reebok was due to its special designing
Have a fake Flames jersey the lettering makes it obvious but it was cheap soooo. However I do have a real one so it makes up for it. This rly helps thx sm, will help when I go jersey shopping for a Tkachuk one

Benhsports is the best if you want to find some Adidas ones for a lot less expensive than on Adidas' site or nhl shop.
I always prefer the real deal but sometimes it gets so darn expensive that I have no issues with a fake here and there for us cash strapped fans.

What's your guys' thoughts on Fanatics brand merch? Everything I've bought that was Fanatics brand has been poorly made crap. But its priced like the bigger brands. The hooded sweatshirt I bought is already coming apart at the seams, and the T shirt already has holes in it! And I've only had them for about 2 months. I would definitely not recommend buying their stuff.
As far as the jerseys go.... I'm not a big fan of the new Fanatics versions because the logos they put on the front bend REALLY easily and leave creases that DO NOT go away. I would not recommend a Fanatics jersey personally.
Just got a Dallas winter classic jersey, inspected every single checkpoint and it passed, the only exception was the fight strap looked like the fake one in your video. I keep looking online for the style mine has (mine has the adidas dot on the front right) and haven’t run into any with the dot.
There are so many cheap alternatives than buying a fake jersey, for example there is a bunch of options for older replicas like starters/ccm maska/pro player which can be the same price as fakes. The downside is that they are used but with knowlege you can fix the defects and it's as if they are brand new. With reebok with sellers like FullMoonJerseys/Retro2Heritage they can also be extraordinarily cheap too. People say "I don't want to spend 300!" You don't have to, granted some teams like Nashville/Vegas they are more expensive and can cost up to $120 to get a brand new jersey but every other team with time and patience you can find very cheap jerseys
The way I see it is if I get a jersey that looks exactly the same or barley off, and is not to much over the actually price I’m fine with it even if it isn’t a true jersey.
I own two of the speed jerseys which the differences are that there are no holes on the shoulders, it's a different fabric and texture, there is no strap on the bottom on the inside of the jerseys, and the NHL logo isn't plastic. I thought you were going to talk about those LOL!
My mom bought me a Pekka Jersey for Christmas for a couple hundred bucks off of the Nashville Predators official website and it was literally the exact same fake Jersey used in the video.

I went to the NHL website but I'm confuse. What is exactly the difference between a Fanatics and Replica jerseys? Do you collect only Authentic?
I have Reebok, Adidas and Fanatics in my collection. Anything that is officially sold by the NHL is allowed in my collection.
Places I shop from are lids.ca , prohockeylife.com , lids.com , Dick's Sporting Goods, Fanatics.com and a few others. Basically, as long as you buy from one of the main North American sporting merchandise sellers then you will always get a real jersey. After that is comes down to personal preference. I like the new Adidas jerseys and I also like the old Reebok jerseys, but I'm not a big fan of the new Fanatics versions because the logos they put on the front bend REALLY easily and leave creases that DO NOT go away. I would not recommend a Fanatics jersey personally.

That’s one of the best fake adidas I’ve seen. Usually they can’t get the silver emblem even close to correct.

Good video. I bought a jersey which I fully expected to be fake (based on price) and I was a little concerned to see Adidas branding on it. I don't mind it being "fake" (super cheap) but was disappointed that they used someone else's name.
What's your opinion on replicas like fanatics? Only ask cause I mostly like mine but, at only 5 months old, the nhl logo on the front (VGK jersey of course) is coming off.
I like the material of the jersey itself, I find it more comfortable, but the logos they put on them are crap. Both of mine are bent across the middle because of how they folded them when shipping and the creases won't come out, and it's been roughly 5 months.

I think a big thing with fake jerseys is also doing your own research on which websites are better. like neil said if you are ok with fake jerseys, like I am (just bought 2 fakes last night) some websites are miles better at producing than others

I've had a fake jersey that I knew was fake and you're right. I just didn't have even the $150 for the replica NHL ones, no hate to anyone who wears them I mean we all buy them for the same reason... supporting our favorite team.

I'm sure I have a few fakes, one I KNOW is fake, but if it's hard for me to spot, I think it'll be hard for others. It was pretty cheap anyway so it's not like I got swindled. I see some whoppers out there though. Some look like they cut the letters in the name out themselves and ironed them on crooked. I'm surprised it took me this long to find this video, I was waiting for an adidas comparison - but now I'm pretty confident that the Byfuglien Jets authentic jersey I got for $70 is indeed real and I'm baffled as to how someone sold it for that price. Seems the adidas fakes are going to be easier to spot, so thanks for the info.

You make alot of valid points actually and I own a combination of both real and fakes, the market is SO dodgy these days so I try to stick with 90's jerseys when I can. It's not help by other leagues either such as the CHL and the Hockey Hall of Fame that tried to sell off the so called game worn London Knights jerseys as authentics when they were fakes and had never seen ice time but it makes sense they would sell fake jerseys are SO easy to acquire and sell off compared to the legit variants, most of the time the whole business practice is a scam.....
I recently bought a few discount jerseys that are 100% legit adidas. But, they had some imperfections with the stitching. The seller told me they are rejected jerseys that didn't pass QC. So I cleaned up the stitching myself saving over $100. Deals are out there.

i got my jersey from sportscheck and i didnt even think about the jersey being fake everything on the jersey passes with flying colors but i just noticed after i ripped all the tags off that the jersey is missing that little black adidas patch in the front. did this ever happen to anyone?

I buy jerseys quite often almost every 3 months, to be honest I know when I buy them they are fake but they are very high quality fakes and I am happy to pay £25 - £40 for a quality fake as I wear mine either casual or for hockey training. I love the NHL and the teams etc and in my eyes the originals are way too expensive and for me the NHL and the teams make enough money so I will continue to buy the fake jerseys and caps, never had a bad one yet
I have always gotten authentics for under 100 dollars you just have to dig around online and know what to look for when you buy these jerseys
The best way to avoid spending much is to buy an old 80s-90s jersey off EBay since the authentics are really cheap there

I live in Vegas, of course I’m a VGK fan! Some jerk on eBay today trying to sell Colin Miller jersey for $25.00. fIRST RED FLAG! But, worse than that, the number on the jersey is 29! , that’s Fleury’s number! I sent this seller a reply asking this swindler wtf?? Couldn’t even put the correct number (6) on the sleeves!?! BTW, top front did not have the silver NHL emblem.....BUYER BEWARE!!

Im from Czech Republic and I got a Buffalo Sabres jersey on my bithday. If I look at the jersey I see the plastic NHL logo, the Adidas mark inside the neck and logo on the back and its look like real jersey according to this video. But if I look at the number and name its looking like fake. Im little bit confused. Maybe I have another fake jersey from another manufacturer. Shame :-D

Yes and no. They officially license it as jersey merchandise. But it is far from the authentic adidas one’s they wear on the ice. Fanatics is just what the name says it’s for the fans.

Fanatics are pretty good jerseys for fans. I'd rather wear my $140 fanatics jersey while I'm at a game or just in public than wearing my $250 Adidas.
Another difference is the word "Nashville" on the back of the jersey.
