Smartin up! That was one stupid comment.
Probably not, but he would have a lot of points though.
Forsberg was great but Jesus H Christ.. He couldn't shine Gretzky's shoes on offense.
You've got to be kidding me. What offensive records would he have actually broken? Name one, let alone all 61 he would've broken
People forget how dominant Forsberg could be. He's won stanley cup games nearly single handedly. If you had an all-time fantasy draft you wouldnt be disappointed taking Forsberg #1.
Peter Forsberg is my favorite player :D
the reason Im glad I was born in Denver and the reason I wear 21. thanks Foppa!
I remember back in NHL 2004 I used to always plays as Colorado because I got to put own player with Sakic and Forsberg in the starting forward 3
He was the MVP.
"Forceburg"
never forget post lockout when the Flyers to him. I was so friggin happy.
I see a lot of Forsberg in Alex Ovechkin. Big, strong, tough competitor that has a ton of skill
Foppa was a big role model for Ovechkin when he grew up, maybe thats why.
Except Forsberg makes his teammates better.
Pfsif which Ovechkin does as well
Pfsif so did OV after he grew up after getting knocked out of playoffs childishly trying to beat Hal Gill in same move over & over again 2 playoffs in a row!
A couple years later, he consciously started playing for the name on THE. FRONT. Of THE. JERSEY ... the rest is history
If he played today he’d be absolutely unstoppable. Plus he’d have a much longer career
Many years later, Cap's made the same mistake, trading a Forsberg for.. I don't even remember. All hail Peter, all hail Filip!
A living legend
*Salming changed perception of Swedish players. Sundin/Foppa/Z etc carried the torch
This. Salming was the spearhead.
His shot could have been better but was still really good and he did everything else great anyway. I always thought was pretty good tho.
Still think they won the lindros deal. Each player fit each teams style anyway. Sakic and forsberg were sick. We're fun to watch
bulky spud shame both of their careers ended earlier then they should hve
In the NHL 100 video on Nicklas Lidstrom, Jim Fox says he saw Lidstrom get beat 1:1 "once." I think 2:50 is that moment
My opinion is that he is the GOAT. When he was at his peak, he could do everything. When he talks it is like: ”I was a decent player...”
And no, I don’t forget about Sid and other great players, but #21 is from Sweden. And still.
His greatest achievement was probably when he nutmegged on Lidström at 2:50 after all.
Alfred Karlsson Yeah, all you guys who think Lidstrom was Sweden’s best export to the NHL - go watch that play again ... DOMINANT!!!
He’s in my top 5 favorite players along with Gretzky, Roy & Modano!
The 94 olympic finals was then only hockey match i saw from start to finish.
u are probably the best player so far in hockey and i really say the best , Gretzky mario yes , but u are better , u played in that age u would have done over 3k Points
Miss those times with forsberg and joe sakic, kamensky.. Mario, federov and so on in the league, good times!
Still have a bag i made in school when i was little with the avalanche logo, it looks pretty damn good, was 11 when i made it. Most have gotten help with it, cant remember it much.. 😂
Best Swedish player ever.
He was great, but Salming changed perceptions.
Agree
Favourite player of all time!
Pure legend
The best in the history
its crazy to think i live in the same city he was born, raised, and currently live in.
Still feel terrible for Quebec Nordique fans. Those were their Stanley Cups won in Denver. Such a tremendous team that left Quebec City.
Best of All Time.
A "pretty" good run in his JWC too, unbeaten couple of points to my knowledge.
Borje Salming changed the perception of Swedish players. Period.
Nah, he changed the perception of European players
Nietzsche *Börje
Which period?
@@scottstorchfan woman's period...
Vår kung :)
Salming was ridiculously tough as well.
One off the best best player ever in NHL👍
Amazing video!
He's one of few players in History you can say yes he's complete. he lacks nothing and he has all skills you can ever want in a player.
really humble guy
He would have won even more if he didn’t struggle with his foot.
Postage stamp says "VM I ISHOCKEY, 1995" ("ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, MCMXCV") although that penalty goal on stamp was scored in the Olympics of 1994. Why...?
His is Peter Forsberg on swedish
