Glad to see you back Betsy! Been missing you! I now have a greater appreciation for lacunosa! You have a wonderful collection, thank you for making this video! Lmao, "silvery silver ghostie ghost" love that rant. 💚
Funny about coming home to a blooming lacunosa, and not putting the smell together right away. I just came home from a trip and my first thought was, "Did I leave some potato chips out in the trash?" Only to find my Lacunosa had some old blooms on it.
I just obtained a variety labeled H. lacunosa silver mint coin. It's beautiful and if you don't have it, it needs to be added to your amazing lacunosa collection. I will be keeping an eye out for H. lacunosa 'royal flush' 😉
LOVED this, and I look forward to an updated lacunosa collection tour when you check some more off your wishlist ;) I wanted to also mention that "eskimo" is considered a derogatory term by a lot of Inuit people, I'm not sure how to navigate plants with offensive names like this?
I feel the same way about that name and I think we should just stick to calling it silver. I'm not sure who named it that or why and I don't like it. :(
There are registries for hybrid varieties in different countries and an international one if I recall. There is a Wiki page on it. But I don't know the process to enter your hybrid or the process of getting a patent or anything.
You were just in my feed this morning and I’m so glad I clicked on your Chanel! :) I enjoyed your video very much and your personality is funny and sweet! I laughed with you and I agree on all these names😂🌱......I hear ya! I’m happy to be a subscriber and I can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos!🙌💚🌱
I’m a hoya Carnosa new mumma only started collecting them 3 years ago. And I’m yet to get a bloom, which I just can’t wait for….. Thank you for sharing all your collection.
Hi Betsy! That is quite the collection of lacunosa! I can see why you like them so much! That was exciting for you to get two seed pods, and then showing the starts. You did good getting the seeds to grow! I only have a few hoya, but am always watching for them locally. You mentioned a "shop" at the end of the video. Will you be shipping to the USA? Thank you so much for sharing!
Omg your lacunosa collection is to DIE for! I have a few but now i need them all lmao! But i also need to know where you get your cover pots lol they just look so clean and nice!
I have a seedpod on my lacunosa silver or whatever The same you showed Can't wait what it turns into It's my fourth seedpod I also had two seedpods on my serpens and one on my david cummingii I'm curious if you ever had a seedpod I'm always so thrilled
I've been led to believe that while people are calling their plants khroniana it's very rare for the plant to be an actual khroniana. To be a true khroniana every leaf should be a heart shaped leaf, no if's or but's, it should be every leaf. My information comes from the American Identification Group.
Thanks for your input. I was under the impression that there is a true difference in the actual bloom but it's a microscopic difference considering how tiny they are. And I'd rather just say I don't know since I don't. 😂
I was tempted to buy the variegated lacunosa a few weeks ago when one was available locally, but I thought it was too expensive at the time and I've been regretting it ever since 😢
Also! Totally guilty of sliding into your DMs for this😆 Thank you so much for sharing! So many varieties! Do you think it’s bc they bloom so readily? KOKO Ranch Hoya has an interesting video on hand pollination. She actually empties out the mother plant’s bloom to make sure it doesn’t accidentally self pollinates. & lastly! I didn’t realize I had so many lacunosas in my collection until I watched this 😅 - Original lacunosa, Sunrise, Rebecca, & black leaves.
I bought it under the label Hoya lacunosa silver and I keep it that way to avoid confusion. There is no officially named cultivar called Hoya lacunosa silver or Hoya lacunosa super silver or Hoya krohniana silver or Hoya krohniana super silver. Does the super really make a difference? It has a lot of splash. 😂
You're collection is STUNNING - congrats on the shop. In the US and hoping to order when you're up and running. Also, where can I find the resin cachepots? I've been lusting after Miro's for far too long.
The camera is different since December. It could be why. Someone else noticed a while back. Or maybe it's the 20 packs of cigarettes I smoke every day.
I love Hoyas but I am convinced that there is some trickery going on with them! I will purchase a big beautiful plant , quarantine it, and it will live in my house bug free for a long time and then suddenly, bam...it's infested with mealy-bugs! Sadly, Out it goes cuz this girl can't get rid of those!
So, is H. khroniana part of your collection as well? I have just purchased a “H. khroniana black” and am very very excited about it. The pic from the seller is stunning. I have also seen the “H. lacunosa red leaves” being sold and it is a beauty as well.
I find the H. khroniana to be appealing and quite beautiful. I am fascinated by odd leaves, and want to include as many leaf shapes in my collection as I can. I am limited to only having them in my sunroom, so much choose wisely, but I love that I can look at them all day long if I want. The absolutely bring me joy, and the analogy of playing with your plants like barbie dolls is spot on!!!
I was just coming her to ask this exact question. I thought the Silver was Krohniana Silver (used to be called Eskimo). The leaves are more heart shaped/shorter than Lacunosa… at least, that's how I learned it. I'm new to your videos but really enjoying them!
Glad to see you back Betsy! Been missing you! I now have a greater appreciation for lacunosa! You have a wonderful collection, thank you for making this video! Lmao, "silvery silver ghostie ghost" love that rant. 💚
Super silver Eskimo ghost mint.
Hope you’ll keep us updated on all the seedlings! So exciting!
I definitely will!

OMG playing with your 'barbies" is totally a legitimate excuse to call off whatever in my book.

Beautiful collection! Definitely added some to my wish list
Doug chamberlain has a video explaining the differences between lacunosa & kroniana 😃 I think the later has bigger flowers, to start
Lol well it's Doug. He knows everything. 😂
Heart shaped leaves are the distinction, I think. Krohniana have these and lacunosa do not
I'm no expert but...
I’m a hoya Carnosa new mumma only started collecting them 3 years ago. And I’m yet to get a bloom, which I just can’t wait for…..

I'm sure it will bloom before mine. Everyone seems to get their carnosa to bloom but me. 😂
love this video, Besty! these long ones!!
Thank you. I know I usually try to keep them short. 😆

Hello from Auckland, New Zealand ... 😊😊😊
Hello darling
If small leaves is da thing you definitely need Hoya lacunoca ''Frazer Hills''. And thank you so much for this video, entertaining as always 🙃
I have that one and it isn't a lacunosa but rather its own species. I had intended to talk about that but totally forgot. 🙈
"Turn it into a drinking game" XD im dead and totally will

“….ghosty ghost..” 😂😂😂😂
"Silver shiny ghosty-ghost" 😂
Going to start hybridising hoya just to name a species that

ha, my first Lacunosa was exactly like yours! and its probably is a regular one, green Lacunosa.
I "heard" that snowcaps are a cultivated variety from Costa farms. they put out 6 in hanging baskets of it.
Oh that's interesting, I'll look into it.
You need ‘My Little Runaway’ 😊 Loved the vid btw
TIL that I definitely need 'My Little Runaway'. 😂
Thank you Betsy
Very impressive collection 💚
Thank you for watching, Wendy. 😊
Orb descends from above your head down to the right side of you at 1:26.
It's dust, I remember seeing it. I think I even mention it later in the video. 😂 Maybe I edited that part out.

So what would the plant sold to me as khroniana black be called if the leaves are not heart shaped?
I was tempted to buy the variegated lacunosa a few weeks ago when one was available locally, but I thought it was too expensive at the time and I've been regretting it ever since 😢
Wait.
I have a silver leaf lacunosa coming from Indonesia and have a variegated one but not much variegation that I can see
Also! Totally guilty of sliding into your DMs for this😆 Thank you so much for sharing! So many varieties! Do you think it’s bc they bloom so readily?

I've seen her video and it helped me understand the technique!
I bought a plant labeled "lacunosa var lacunosa" and the leaves almost as small as Peraguin Durian, just plumpier
What kinda of potting mix do you use?
You must try Xero shoes
I think your Hoya lacunosa silver is actually a krohniana ?
13:00 that's a kronianha super silver. No?
