Would like to just compliment how sensitive and great display of empathy by the young Indian lady, I thought the whole interaction was very genuine and caring from her end.

Yes! The way she just naturally stretched out her hand (it was just one second but it was just so striking). And the hug at the end!

I’ve worked with Charmaine once on a shoot a few years ago, and we briefly got to meet her family during the shoot. Her daughter Charlie, was wise and eloquent, and displayed grace towards the crew who were using her bedroom to film in for the shoot. Charmaine is a lovely person to work with, and even though we never got the chance to work again after that shoot, the memory of her being so genuine and understanding to us stays with me. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Charmaine. ❤

Reminds me of my poor old mom. She made sure that foods were on the table for her children day and night.
Poverty never stopped her from feeding us.
She is now old with dementia and cancer. We make sure that she maintains a good quality of life until she rests in peace.

Wow what an impactful and empowering story, honestly the way charmaine brings up all her children is so impressive to me, still having the time to teach them about the importance of mental health and eating healthy, all while going through what she is going through. She really is so strong and such a great mother.

We often hear how challenges strengthen and matures a person... I see that so much in Charlie.... she is only 9 yo but she demonstrates so much inner strength and courage and most of all, despite all, she remains grateful and her agreement with Dahlia shows that bond btw siblings which Charmaine must have inculcated... Kudos to Charmaine and her hubby for bringing up such wonderful children.... Love triumphs and transcends all... Thank you Charmaine for inspiring us all...

Hello, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I hope this doesn't come across as unsolicited, but your comment made me think of how my mum tried to create a better environment for her kids despite growing up in a tough one, and she turned out to be a great mum - so it's definitely possible to do so! But regardless of whether it's with children, I hope that you'll be able to create your own safe and warm home in future ❤️ -Jia Ling (producer)

My younger sister and I have a very big age gap. She’s 11, I’m 24. This also meant that my parents are quite old to be parenting a child. Life caught up to them and at some point, they turned to phones and devices to distract my sister while they tended to their own stuff. I wouldn’t call them lazy - i think theyre just not as young and energetic as they were when i was growing up. Beyond that, screen time is impossible to escape these days compared to when I was a child. Over time, my sister has gotten quite dependent on iPads and phones, to the point where it has affected her performance at school and her social skills too. She’s often on her own, isolated and aversive to making friends or doing something physical. She goes through periods of being down/low energy, faces anxiety and mood swings too. it’s really so worrying for me! 😢
Limiting screen time is so so crucial these days. Its a scary world out there . Lets all work towards building a better future for the upcoming generations!
Great video, kudos to the team for making us reflect. ❤

You just tell them. They deserve to know why they don't feel good and are going to have to practically live at the hospital. This coming from a mom who has a son with a heart condition. Which if he doesn't get a heart transplant when he is older will die by 30. It's hard but you have to just be vulnerable and tell them.

From that My life, especially our relationship with my husband has been totally changed, and I could founded out how he was selfish, heartless and easygoing human. 🥺 My daughter had discovered that her dad sent love words to his mistress when they were waiting for follow up treatment. He ate many good things with his bitch, on the other hands my daughter gave up many her favorites due to chemotherapy, and he had very close contact ❤ with his bitch during very pandemic situation. I did my best to shut down many germs not to infect my daughter, but her father was the dirtiest jerk! 😂

Sad reality of life. Most people are always thinking that family is the ultimate purpose of life. And if you dun have a family, something is wrong with you. If this video is to encourage people to get married and have kids, too bad, I am not one to vote for this. Why?
It's not just about having a heavy burden on my shoulders, but Something else needs me more anything else. Not everyone is for family, and not everyone is for lone ranger like me. But for me, something more important comes to mind. I live for Peace. Inner and outer peace.
While most people worry about their future, I felt concerned over the world. While most people worry about themselves, I worry about the world, and so for me, family life is not an option anymore.
For me, my option is peace. God's peace for the world. And for that, spiritual life is more practical.
A wise man once said, 'Mediate and pray so that God does not see you as another useless human being.' there are far too many useless human beings out there today, that's why there are so many upheavals, cruelties, wars and unhappiness. Because too many people worry about themselves more than peace in the world.
I feel blessed and I feel protected. I have had at least 4-5 near missed accidents. I have also experienced extraordinary things. Something tells me, life is more than what we see out there. the Divine needs us more than ever. But I see very few takers. Maybe it's ignorance, maybe it's not their time yet. but the world is going through so much, and less people are taking note or action. All they care about is family, no having anyone to take care when they grow old. I lived each day knowing that I am protected by the Divine. My mum is 87 yrs old and she can still walk without a walking stick. Family cannot take care of such things.
