He we go again with the 2 litre twin turbo engines. Crap engines. If you call this and advance Falcon, you should have a look at the Australian made Ford Falcon, V8 or Barra MPFI, 4 door sedan. Now that a car not the crap shown in video, it's ugly as 💩. Ford US has built crap vehicles that break down prior to warranty expiration. Australian Fords were built tough to drive the long country roads for 4 hours straight and get out refreshed. I own a 1998 EL Ford Falcon, has most of the original parts and 406,000 kilometres on the clock and still going strong.
The worst thing the Australian Government did was to let vehicle manufacturers to stop production on Ford US say so.
Only the wealthy can afford new imported vehicles into Australia.🤬🤬🤮🤮

The Falcon should be a 4 door family car with a decent boot and the option of a V8. Of course you could reserve that option to put an XR in front of it, but that’s what it should be. Bloody shame that Aussie hands can’t build them anymore at least for the local market, but that’s progress I guess…

They're showing 2 different body styles, one a 2-door coupe and the other s 4-door sedan. Looks more like an artists impression rather than a real finished item ready to go into production. Looks great either way.

Ford US management have no desire to give Australian driver's a Ford Falcon 4 door sedan. Ford US has been making poor engine designs for many years, you only have to look on UA-cam to see how bad the American engines Fords builds are. It will be a long day in hell before Ford US provides a 4 door Falcon for Australian drivers.

A good click bait as Australia produced the Ford Falcon from 1960 to 2016 copying off the yanks for 15 years. The Falcon originated in 1958 by Ford USA but short lived over there.
According to consumers they are going down the same rabbit as what GM did with the ZB Commodore. Maybe the Cortina name should be brought back instead if it going to hit Australian shores a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder and a 3.0 litre V6 engines . A long way from the standards of the 70's where Falcon was a 3.2 or 4.1 straight six and 4.9 or 5.8 V8.
Don't get me wrong the car looks very nice but it is going to be what us Aussies would say Right car and Wrong badge. Please Ford do not shoot yourselves in the foot with this one.

I agree with another comment. If it's for the Australian market it needs to be designed and vetoed by Australians and unless it's built here I and other Aussies won't be interested. Just ask Holden with respect to the disastrous ZB 'Commodore'. The FGX was a nice looking offering.
This is poorly done. The silhouette keeps changing shape with a hump magically appearing on the roof and the rear view in no way matching the side 3/4 view.

Cool concept and a nice use of AI (it will be nice when images can be generated from additional angles that actually match the details of the previous shot, likewise the AI voiceovers are getting better but some punctuation in key points would make it more believable), but you really should put a disclaimer at the starts (I’ve been sent this so many times over the last few days from people who thought it was real 🤦🏼♂️).

If you look at some of the early aussie falcons right up to XT. They look pretty much similiar to their US counterparts.
Near where I live in West Australia, theres a guy with a Early US Falcon that looks like an aussie XR but its a 2 door.

My first car as a 21 yr old was a 4 door Fairmont XA 351 with GS pack. Plenty of power & nice car to drive but build quality left a lot to be desired!

Only partly true , it started in 1959 as a crude beginning in the US but was refined and developed to become an iconic vehicle here in Australia , America really can’t claim it at all .

WTF? Ford is reviving the Falcon, GM is reviving the Trans Am even though Pontiac as a car manufacturer is dead. Why isn’t GM reviving the Commodore since that they are discontinuing the Camaro. Like think about it. GM entered the Holden commodore into NASCAR once under Chevy SS. Or even revive the Torana.

@blackvulcan3 we never had a 4 door mustang, nothing about our falcon was related to the mustang, they did consider using the falcon chassis for the current mustang but didn't use it, if they had the falcon may still be around as part of their world wide platform they went with

The Ford Falcon is not Australian, it's an American car just like the 1960 XK Falcon, they were built for US roads which were like driving on new asphalt and when they were sold here in Australia they had major suspension failures on top and lower ball joints, Ford Australia then reworked the weak ball joints and made them tough to be able to handle our shitty roads back then, not one Falcon has ever been designed here as they were either designed in the USA or Germany and all testing down there and once the prototype was approved it was then tooled over there and shipped here to start making them either in Broadmeadows Victoria hence the JG or Acacia Ridge Queensland hence the JH prefix of the body number, all Cortinas and Escorts were made in England and imported to Ford Australia and if you ever come across a TC Cortina with a flat bulkhead and has a 1600 engine then it's a pommy Cortina as from 1972 the Cortina was revamped and the bulkhead and radiator support panel were redesigned to allow for the 200 and 250 6 cylinders and gearbox cross member mounts moved and modified for the Top Loader 4 speed, Borg Warner 3 speed, Borg Warner 35 automatic trans as well as the FoMoCo C4 trans but prior to the any New Falcon being offered they were not built to start with like the XA which was a reworked Torino including the Falcon Coupe a revamped Torino GT Coupe but with XA sheet metal. So anyone who says it's not a Falcon because it was built here, get a life and research Ford Falcon as the USA Falcon ended in 1970 and if the New Falcon is sold here I will be buying one.

The XK Falcon had an Australian suspension kit and in 1965 there was a long durability test,the XL falcon which australia had was terrible on a number of points and fell apart on Australian roads,after which Ford Australia modified the build,while the Barra started life as a 144ci engine the XL had Australia over time evolved it into a straight six that competes with the 2JZ and RB,however 2JZ and RB have billet aftermarket blocks available that put them beyond the Barra which has not received that treatment
