I actually did this the moment I started playing this game, because I felt like being able to last hit more with it, while having no idea why. Seeing and explaination about this 4 years later makes me really happy :D

The difference now is that there is an option that lets you repeat rightclick automatically by holding rightclick, which reduces the variance of swingtime compared to spam clicking yourself.
I've been doing the spam stop/rightclick to CS for years too, but now its even stronger by allowing yourself to effectively click 10 times a second just by holding rightclick, thats the reason this video is being made

@@undyingsnetherregions I had a lot of trouble with all the different attack speeds/animations. Delaying helped me to actually get cs.
I havent played a single game for 4 years. Now i got the itch again and back to bsj videos. Last hitting mechanics,map control, playing around vision/enemy vision have not changed. But man do i feel like making fun of myself when playing invoker. My timings are also way off with new things added to the map
BSJ has a small lingo mistake in here. The time it takes for the attack to start is called attack point. Backswing is the useless part of the animation after you hit which can be canceled by giving a new command.
Purge would be proud.

You have a small lingo mistake as well. The time it takes for the attack to occur is called Frontswing. Attack point is the point at which the attack occurs/the projectile is released. Also, backswing cannot be canceled, only the animation. You still have to wait for your backswing to finish before you can start your next frontswing.

Been doing this for at least 3-4 years...I thought this was common knowledge at this point lmao but good stuff, auto right click repeat master-race
So if I get this right:
1. Right click a creep, and hold the mouse down to continously attack it
2. Spam S or Stop key to stop your attack animation until you get the timing right
Anyone else remember when BSJ was roasting a coachee for doing this exact thing? I remember.

ive tried this. I'm not sure of the balance. I feel like i still need the attck more. like moving hitting moving hitting when farming camps for example. that doesnt work very well eithout attack move. How much do you use aclick in lane still?

Having "Right click allies to attack" is so crippling for me because sometimes i will right click on an ally instead of ground and my hero will try to attack instead of moving.
never had that problem, just try to not lose focus of your hero and keep holding right click to move and kite nonstop
just check "to deny"
For some reason repeatidly clicking does not restart my hero's attack. They just continue autoattacking. Is there some third setting i need to change?
discovered this feature, 2 months ago. 60% of the game I played enemy mid laner always telling my teammates that I am smurfing and they should report me.
Better for you, you will get more mmr if the system thinks you are smurfing.

Any tips for mouse dpi settings or camera settings? Currently i play fps game with 800 dpi, when I play dota i use 2000 dpi and it feels so fast, i used to play with 3200 dpi when actively playing. Maybe some tips?

Releasing stop obviously. As you can see when you hit stop it tries to instantly attack again.

Try to avoid LH while stepping on a clif ( seen near the end ) but most importantly practice LHing in ONLINE bots games even without bots or alone ( ex custom lobby ), the game behaves differently you can see it in this vid at the top right corner it says like 200fps and 0ms; you are fighting for the fractions of a second the delay has to be part of your technique , don't think of 25ms but about being online in an imperfect flow vs offline in a perfect stream sim.
I have techniques that don't work on line. What you're doing in the vid I call "The Rapper", and I do it in two different ways: I have "Attack / Attack Ground' bind on Mouse Wheel Up, just by changing the turning speed of the MWUp to mach the hero animation it can be achieved and with a great degree of control, as an extra I also have stop on Mouse Wheel Down which complements as necessary as is far more elegant that it seams.
For the tower deny the Rapper is king but for general CSing I recommend what I call "Fat Pedal and Whip" ( as in keeping your foot to the max on the gas pedal), I have Move also bind on the Mouse I generally use what most people use for Sensitivity Up with a piece of covered Double Sided Tape so that I can press it with a phalanx and it is also on auto repeat (can be done with anything that spams the keys like a macro in the mouse soft). So... while hodling Move like your life depends on it you vary the distance of the cursor from the hero's feet to your target ( this distance is really important ), you will naturally move around and make many turns ( a super adv tip is imagine the where the enemy cursor is if you get the feeling you can even confound your opponent and make your self harder to click, it doesn't work vs everyone but thats the ultimate goal for moving constantly ), then the moment you want to CS, deny you hold attack + move simultaneously in a whip motion, the attack will take precedence, on some heroes you will need to release Move but the idea is that the pressing Down Attack ( and optionally release Move ) happens as the very start of the Whip, the Whip will always have Attack key down for the whole duration, after the CSing hit left the chamber release attack and return to dancing.
Yes there is turn rate to account, yes it is more complex but is far more natural and it simulates what you need to do most of the time.
where should I go to get that CS scoreboard on the upper far right of bsj's screen? I'm one of those who needs visual representation of how much I'm actually able to do. :/

I did this before, the reason I stopped doing it is because you can't move your hero! everytime you accdentally right clicked an ally your hero fucking stops!
That will get you killed when you could escape, or let enemy escaped when you had the kill !

Yes but no, the difference is that the option let you to "hold" the right click and the game will detect it, while before you needed to spam click the creep and spam the S key now you only need to spam the S key

Question: Misclicking will move your hero out of position and into danger. How to solve that ?
I am thinking about this too,because i use "A" click instead of this special setting to right click mouse. I think could be ok to use it on the laning stage, and after disable it. For example on tinker i turn off auto attack after laning stage
you spam "stop" hotkey so you won't move too much, you'll have a few tries to adjust your aim before you actually move a bit out of position. But as you train it you won't have to worry about misclicking

Hi BSJ in your previous last hitting video you mentioned we do A S A because if we right click we could misclick and move closer to the enemy which can be detrimental for ranged heroes sometimes. When using this method sometimes i click the ground and keep moving forward, what can i do to correct this.
Did you figure out the answer to it? I imagine we still have to use A and then spam S? I haven't been playing in a while so didn't get to try it out but I hope you have been successful with it

What additional setting is needed for it to continuously attack the target? I have Right Click Ally to Attack and AutoRepeat RightMouse both set like in the video, yet I right click on an enemy and press the stop button, and the hero (Necro, Jug, whoever) does not attack again.

why not right-click: to deny option?
that option is just awful, if and allied creep that is barely >50% hp is losing hp and you try to spam right clic it to deny it ASAP, you'll start to follow the creep and put yourself out of position. Same thing if you think that it's in deny range and it has 51%, you'll go forward and good players will punish you.

This is actually worse for me. You get tired of pressing S and if u are a bit late to spam it, its easy to fck up. It doesnt remove the attack point, it can if you're lucky, but many time u press S just before u need to launch an attack, and your attack point (animation) reset.
Yeah I'm not a fan either. I just attack a creep and spam hold without having to hold the mouse button down

@@FrostArchon Yeah Backswing is wrong but also frontswing and backswing are stupid terms in general. What I should have said is that you might already be in the *start up* of an attack, and therefore can just complete the start up from that point to CS as oppose to having to go through the entirety of a *start up*. Instead of backswing we also might say "recovery"

I have been last hitting like that in the last 10 years. It is funny that BSJ just realized this obvious, easy trick. When he insisted on "A click - S - A click" type last hitting, I was like how the fck is he even 9k MMR. This is bullshit. Now he finally learned the right way.

Oh, I have seen others use this in my lane and I usually take advantage of this by hitting them for free. Given the tradeoff for a hit and timing it correctly, I would honestly try to be better at the latter

I think thats one of the techniques that dont make the game better. I dont know, but it doesnt feel good; it has nothing to do with experience, learning the animations, reading your oponent... Its just spamming :-D
