WOW. That is a pleasure to watch fly. I really love gliders. Most of my experience was with high start "floaters" as opposed to powered/performance. I wish I had drone skills like your chase pilot. Kudos to your videographer as well. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video and beautiful glider, not massively keen on the EPO sailplanes personally but this looks beautiful, definitely an exception! Thanks for the upload! Liked and subbed!
I was diving this plane and noticed a very big wing flutter, It's scared me so I never did it again but after watching videos on UA-cam it seems like you can do it, hmmm i dont know whats going on.
You are flying it as a power plane so you don't show its energy retension. Does it require power to make it through a loop? The real challenge with this type of model is to do the aerobatics whithout power then you can extend the flight time. It looks very much like the Multiplex Fun Ray in construction and assembly.
Like the OP said a high wing trainer would be best. Personally I started with the Arising star (Petrol) at a local club, but ST Models do the ASW28 which is still a foamy glider if you wanted a glider exclusively, personally I would trade out the servos and push rods and get some stronger and well balanced gear in since the stock is not great on the ST Models ASW28

Great chase flying. One of the best rc videos i have seen. Great job!!!!
Thanks 👍

Our pleasure Doug. Thanks for the callout on Jason's drone flying skills. He really does keep it super tight to get these shots.

Thanks a ton!
You can also store the wing tube spars inside the battery compartment...
Nice glider AND FLYING, Great aerial footage once again, nice to see the landing :-).
Aerobatic Glider yes! He pushed it to the limit that's for sure. Gain altitude. Cut off motor then do aerobatics.
Great flight and nice glider👍
Absolutely fantastic! You guys have no limits.,thanks again 😁
Spot on...no limits...always striving to be different and the best at what we do
@@EssentialRC no doubt you're the best! So far I have been watch all of yours videos, and purchased 3 aircraft from you 😁
Looks great! On the roll rate ... if you haven't already got aileron mixed into the flaps this is worth doing as it usually improves the response.
Just a suggestion, mix in some rudder into your Ailerons you should see an increase in the roll rate
I must admit its a wonderful glider and mine since November .
And you can believe me : undestructible😂!
JPhilippe
Nice flight ,,loving the asw ,,interested to know what you had your cog set at ,,
Are you going to test it in slope or some thermals? I know it’s made for aerobatics, but I would like to see if it gets in the all-rounder category x)
Slope maybe but I'm thinking the FMS Fox would be much better for thermalling.
Great job!
Do you recommend this plane for fpv? I'm debating between the ASW-17 and the lentus. Thank you in advance
It doesn't have a clear canopy so not the best for a scale FPV flying experience
@@EssentialRC Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated
If you get a chance, on a fine day, a comparison between this and the Albatross 2600mm would be good. Cheers
Sorry, I don't have the Albatross now. This ASW-17 is more agile because of it's clipped wing.
Very nice!! :)
Thanks! We're really having fun putting these vids together. It really shows the glider at its best.

Had to unfortunately due to the wind on the day. Can't answer regarding the loop. Not flown it on a calm day yet.
That looked like a lot of fun , but the drone pilot was making my heart skip 🤪👍👍🇺🇸
Don’t worry Jim, I did actually make contact during the flight 😂 luckily just a light bump
It was but a scratch. A plaster has been applied. 😆
Way cool ,,, I wonder if that would be fun to fpv ?
So is it a glider or an aerobatic plane, didn't see any footage of it catching a thermal ......
Clue is in the title. No thermal flying in this vid. Maybe next time
MPX Funray Rival?
How beginner friendly is this?
OK if you join an RC club and get assistance but a high wing trainer would be better

👍👍👍👍👍♥️
YES FIRST :)
Aero Tetris ???
Sometime in the future we'll get back to that
Well its strong, but it looked like in that wind you were on the verge of a crash a lot of the time. And personally the drone footage adds nothing.
Appreciate the compliments. Thanks !
I don't understand what was your purpose with this video. It's a glider, not an Extra 300.....
To show that it does more than just gliding maybe? 🙄 Thought that was kinda obvious.
