I wanted to hear a pair of these in a sound room in 1984. They were disconnected. Instead I heard the speakers I ended up buying (KEF 104/2). The reason I was denied listening to them was because some asshole turned up the sound pressure volume & destroyed the ceiling tiles. I was in awe that speakers could shake the drop ceiling that much to cause it to collapse?
Awesome band, awesome song and awesome speakers!! When I was a kid and young teen my Mom and Dad had an RCA entertainment console with 21" tv, receiver , 8 track and turntable. I had everything on there from Atari to first gen cable radio via coax to cassette and even my first Sony Discman in '88. Those speakers although smaller than the Klipsch's were very room filling. In fact I remember the police being here at our home more than once for noise complaints due to those. lol Now I'm nearing "mature" adulthood and want something that takes me back to all those fond memories of youth and enjoyment with my parents. I'm also back in my childhood home that my Father built in 1976. Mom just passed last year and Dad in 1998. So I'm back to the homestead and doing a bit of modernizing. For my rec room I'm going to go with Klipsch LaScala's with an Audio Technica 140XP turntable and a tube amp to recreate some of that warm sound the RCA unit would emit in my younger days. Now being a modern technical guy I'm also going with an HTPC running Soundblaster AE9 32bit , 384Khz, 129Db, 0.0001 THD sound card (as receiver) into a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos speaker setup for tv, movies and sports. Hopefully this will make memories for my son as the warm ones I have from a bygone era. Thanks for the listen.
Thanks for sharing! Dynamite sound-have a pair of Heresy’s and could only wonder what the fabled Klipschorns sounded like! Well I just stopped by to get a quick listen ...but..I can’t leave. By the way, what are you driving them with?
I grew up in my audio experience with the belief that K Horns were the ultimate expression of the speaker engineering arts. I don't think that's wrong to this day, back then was around 1977, the year I turned 20. Now I'm 65, and I still view them with reverence. BTW, you could buy a pair for a little over $6000 back then, but that was a fairly astronomical price so, you know, relevance.
If you have someone else change from the album to a c.d. or a UA-cam with the same song Can you differanciate between the three ? W/o looking ? Just from the audio
2/10/2024: Good Day From The Future. Wonderful. I would love to actually sit in front of them.
Thank You & Best Regards.
Listening to this on a thirty year old pair of Klipsch speakers. Sounds great, Paul W. Klipsch was a genius.
Водопад эмоций!!! Голографическая сцена, музыка "дышит"!!! Воздух повсюду!!! Больших Вам удач!
Mark Knopfler, sooo good. That is such a great album. Love it.
Great video! I have the exact pair of kornerhorns as you and love them!

I believe PWK used a 2A3 amplifier when designing and voicing his Klipschorn . This is so appropriate then .
You do a really good job with your presentations. Keep up the great videos!
круто!
только я бы перед колонками всё убрал
там площадки ранних отражений, а они на сцену и образы очень сильно влияют
Sounds incredible!

Sounds good on my iPhone 11

Perfect sound. Top notch 👌 Do Klipschorns have to be placed exactly in corners of the room?
Yes, for correct operation of the horn at low frequencies, the acoustics must be placed in the corners
even over phone+youtube it sounds great! what amps is this?
Thx! Its china clone of Sun Audio SV-2A3
may i know the size of your room?
My room is not big. its 16m2.
Disappointing, they sound exactly like my crappy computer speakers.
