ngl I think the remix events are overhated. Most people were as good as done with ow1 especially after playing the betas and with ow2 being so close, I don’t see a reason why they should waste their resources on ow1 skins instead of perfecting ow2. I think bringing all events and skins back is a great way to end things, and even though the remix skins aren’t all that exciting it’s a pretty fun callback to the beginning where we used to get 2 color variants of every skin
To this day my favourite skin for Genji is still Nihon. Not only it has beatiful colour scheme but it has small details like the red circle as for Japanese flag or the text on his body not writing "武神" [Bushin] which means God of War but "日本" [Nihon] which means Japan.

The 2018 winter wonderland event is surprisingly probably one of my most memorable events. I was 8 years old when this event came out and we were hosting a Christmas party. I decided to play overwatch and boom, the event was happening. I have no clue why or how, but I just remember adoring this specific year’s event.
Storm rising was quite bad. It was way shorter than the other 2 lore events. The enemies were recycled from the previous year, which just felt awkward to play because the enemies were clearly not designed to fight the storm rising heroes. And finally the cliffhanger. I am all for a good cliffhanger, but this entire mission did zero for lore. And the cliffhanger is still unresolved 3 and a half years later.
I disagree with you. I really enjoy Storm Rising. The fact it's shorter makes it more replayable unlike Uprising for example. I must say I was a bit disappointed when I had seen recycled enemies but it still felt different than Retribution the gameplay and vibe of it were more chaotic and story was really good. Characters such as Maximillien and Sojourn were really well written and cliffhanger was really good, but then OW2 came and no content. Also the mission is really meaningful to the story. Like Maximillien handed Doomfist over for his own safety. Definitely this event wasn't bad nor it was best. But tbh I think it was most likely due to expecting something different. I remember when there were leaks about Talon mission with Doomfist, Sombra, Widow and Baptiste and expecting something like that and getting Storm Rising could've caused that dissapointment

My advice to you, play one or two singular characters and just constantly do ranked, learn how to be really good with characters that can carry games by themselves. I literally was stuck in 1000-1400 in Support, even when I tried my best and swapped characters to match teams. In the beginning, I feel like that doesn't work. People don't together as mucb unless you use comms, so the best you can do is to actually just carry yourself and be somewhat selfish For Tank, I climbed outta hell using Hog and Rein, One shield, one off tank For Dps, I used Reaper and Soldier, One for Hitscan needs, One for Brawl/Flanking/Close quarters For Support, I used Mercy for dive or comps where a Dps hero that can use dmg boost will carry (Soldier, Widow, Ashe, Bastion, etc) Or I use Ana, Who can pocket Tanks if they are carrying Study the character a bit, and put extra effort into the few characters that you will use, eventually you will just be so good that you will carry
god i will never feel more hyped for anything more than archives 2018. i'm hoping that pve next year lives up to it, from what we've seen so far it looks pretty promising

It's my favorite holiday of all time and all the skins, items, and game mode (at least for me) are always so fun I remember I was finally able to start playing Overwatch during the 2020 anniversary event so that was my first and I grinded so hard because I only got the game bc of Pharah and I bought every one of her items I could 😂😂

The first was horrible. The second was good and the last had 2 non event reskins.
And as a new player I'm really thankful I got the chance to play all the events and get so many skins before overwatch 2 :D
I honestly think that the 2017 Archives event is S tier. Overwatch has always been praised so its story. We actually got a pve mode with this event
