- The first moments of Innes Book of Records we ever saw, when we breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn't a 70s variety show.
A whole lot more about Innes Book of Records at neilinnes.org/ibor/
Sad to know he is gone.
IBoR was a cultural highlight for me in my early teens. Did have to ask my mum to explain some of the art history references, but it was worth it.
'Don't Make Me...' is the best Ska Revival song ever.
R.I.P. Neil Innes- lyrical genius, wit, Bonzo, Python, and gentle soul.
Trying for ages to find a DVD of the series with no success. Shame really. So much original stuff I would love to see again.
The BBC has a shameful attitude to historic content. I had to get a bootleg copy of "The Enchanted Castle".
I would have thought in light of very recent events that a reissue would be considered. I would be happy to have the soundtrack available on streaming services.
Sadly discovered his work after his death.
I really can't understand why such an artistic series that still now feels fresh with brilliant visual work and ideas is not avilable.
One of his best songs and all the other ones
You can buy all Niel innes DVD’s and cds on line with Amazon
Brilliant!🎨
Very creative.
first time I saw this kid I just howled with laughter and the irreverence of poor Vincent and his bandaged ear.
