Ff funny you should say that, I adore Neil Innes and I am now on my first Guinness pub draft pint of the night celebrating Christmas on Friday, December 25, 2020, right here in San Diego California, where I’ve seen Neil live twice in the past decade, as well as once at the Troubadour in Los Angeles/Hollywood Circle 1994.

Was it the Syphillis or the Mercury they used to treat it with in those days. (Seriously.) Also, people didn't always get it from intercourse, they were inheriting it genetically in those days.

Not bad. I remember Neil from The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (1966 to 1970). He certainly looked a lot like Schubert in that suit and hairdo and pince nez glasses. Interesting that when the right hand was soloing, we only saw the left hand. I suspect Neil doulbe-tracked the piano. Ah well, he had a successful life.

Well you can take it any way you want
You can shake it till it's back to front
If you rock it till it's inside out
Let me tell you what it's all about
    It's a rock 'n roll symphony
and it's gonna be the death of me
They call me Blue Suede Schubert
    The king of the bop
    Blue Suede Schubert
    I just can't stop
    When I get that beat
    my music is complete
    Ow!
Well, it's crazy but you know it's true
You gotta do what you gotta do
And I'm gonna have to sing my song
while the back beat's going strong
Everybody rock 'n roll 'n more
even rolling all around the floor
They call me Blue Suede Schubert
    The king of the bop
    Blue Suede Schubert
    I just can't stop
    When I hear that drum
I'm gonna blow to kingdom come
They call me Blue Suede Schubert
    The king of the bop
    Blue Suede Schubert
    I just can't stop
    When I get that beat
    my music is complete
    Blue Suede Schubert
    Blue Suede Schubert
    Blue Suede Schubert
    Blue Suede Schubert
    Blue Suede Schubert
    when I'm dead I'll drop

If Schubert were alive at the present time he would be enormously rich from the songs that he was churning out. That's supposing he had a good agent. One of Schubert's problems was that he just wrote too much music and saturated the market.
