where did you get your wheel studs men?? cant fit my new mags!
got them form Z1 Motorsports
My g35 came w new wheel bearings that were uninstalled. Watching this video I’m just going to order the complete hub assembly. Less work to do .
Not a bad idea, just costs a little more.
Im getting some humming sounds from the front. Was gonna do both front bearings. Think itll be chill enough or just so all 4? I got a 2012 g37 with 150k
I would just do both the fronts.
@@rosstrittler thanks. I'm just trying to get a couple of years out of it anyway. Should be good 👍
do you know the torque spec of the center nut??
Somewhere around 200ft lbs, I don't remember exactly.
Did you have any problems after hammering the bearing onto the hub?
no
Is 09 G37X same replacing the wheel bearings?
Yes
100ftlbs for wheel stud will make them snap, but once you experience that is when you will know.
Done it probably 20 times on each wheel. The Z1 studs have a higher tensile strength than the OEM they can handle the extra torque. Also, the OEM torque specs are 90 ft lbs for the G35 coupes so it's not that much more.
Today's timken is not the timken of old. They're now chinese and not much better than anything else. Also there are full hubs available via z1 with pre pressed new bearings. Also the best solution is to do the 370z full upgrade
Agreed! That's exactly what I'm doing after some research. Especially if you are a "spirited" driver. Haha
You lost me at 11:55. Why would you want to get the driveshaft and hub spline unthreaded?
The axle was blocking me from removing the 4 bolts in the back of the wheel bearing
You didn't have to take off the parking brake assy, as matter of fact this was a hack job....
Ouch! lol
