My dog got a haircut today and all day I’ve been saying ‘hair cut’ to him.. the effect is not quite the same as winding up younger brothers in the late 80’s, but the joke has still travelled very, very well...
Throughout the 70s at school the single most hilarious thing that could occur was someone’s new haircut and the piss taking would last for nearly as long as the haircut itself (4-6weeks).
It was the same in the eighties. By the time I was fourteen in 1989, I was steadfastly refusing to get my hair cut. This resulted in me having a properly long set of locks just in time for Nirvana going global. I was beating the girls off with a sh*tty stick. So, y'know, swings and roundabouts. (I may have over stated things _slightly_ there of course, but it definitely made a difference. It certainly took the sting out of all those Monday Morning new haircut nightmares at any rate.)
@alanheath There was a running gag throughout the show about a piece of graffiti one of them had spotted saying "M Khan is Bent" they kept referring to this guy, whoever he was. It was pretty funny.
Haircut! Haircut! That just cracks me up. This is funny but never gets shown on television. Instead they put new shows on which are called “comedy”. Interestingly they do not make anyone laugh.
When the BBC used to do actual Comedy. Funny memorably COMEDY that made people laugh. Nobody is going to be looking up episodes of laugh free sh1te like "The Mash Report" or "Frankie Boyle's Preachy Marxist Luvviefest" in 3 years time never mind 30.
The licking of the finger before he turns the page is magic.

see how out of sync this is? That's you that is.
The funny thing is that by the end of their partnership they hated each other so much that this was the only part of their act they would do
Shame Newman seemed to move away from comedy. Even bigger shame that Baddiel didn't.

That brings back bad memories. I used to get it done on a Friday hoping that by Monday it would have either grown again or people had forgotten.

Even though its out of sink its still hilarious!
"You are him" 😂😂
@alanheath Thats spot on. Baddiel did a bit about how half the population of England must have seen the graffiti.
@moregainkhunt That is you that is! But who is he?
Cool
Haircut! Haircut!

Maybe the only thing that dates well with this show....Just about.
When David Baddiel was funny and not operating as an agent of Israel to defend the attacks on Palestine!
What has he said?
I don't think he's partisan on either side of that conflict.
@@VanlifewithAlan He campaigned on social media to get rid of Corbyn over BS anti-semistisim over his stance on Palestine

Oh fucking grow up, snowflake.
…Is it just me, or is this as funny as involuntary bowel surgery?
I think it is hilarious but could understand why someone might not like it.
