I been in love with Joey Mcintyre and NKOTB since I was 12! I'll be 45 next Month! #TheScorpioLife and June 2022 will be my 5th time seeing them in Concert! #BlockHeadForLife
Joe Mcentire was my heart throb and Donny Walburg. I use to cry watching them. I was so in love, My room was full of posters of NKOB and Bon Jovi and black lights. God, those were the days. A real childhood.
❤❤❤I saw them in Houston 1989, I still have the concert ticket. Joey's young voice smooth as butter, B E A U T I F U L to my ears! Even though Donnie is my fav!
Joey, the youngest, is the lead singer on this. He said it was done not too long before his voice decided to change. This is the song that started it all, lol.
I've been a fan of NKOTB since 1988. I was 8 years old. And is still a fan at age 44. I'm taking my 14 year old daughter to their concert this year in Dallas on July 14th.
yup he was the youngest member of the group. NKOTB trivia: Mark Wahlberg was supposed to be the fifth member ( his brother Donnie is in the group), Joe McIntyre eventually became the fifth and youngest member
Thank u for doing the New Kids. Nobody will react to them & they are a fanatic group & they came out over 30 years ago b4 auto tune so the voices you hear is actually them & they could still hit those notes. They are a very caring 5 guy group. They love their fans & will come together quick when something big happens & people need help. After the Boston Marathon years ago & somebody set a bomb off & bunch of people died or injured. Joe, the youngest had just finished running about 3 min before it went off & was sitting down up the road looking at the same building they recorded this song in just b4 the blast. So the group got together & put on a huge concert w/a bunch of other groups from or around Boston. Bell Biv DeVoe, Boyz II Men, Aerosmith & some other groups. I think the concert was called Boston Strong & the proceeds went to help those families who had someone die or injured as well. You should check it out.
That voice was Joey the youngest of the group (who is still older than me LOL) and he can STILL kill it with vocals. YOu should react to some of their newer stuff. Boys in the Band is a shout out to just about every boy band out there.. I like the Remix and 80's baby are more of a love song to their long time fans
They sang this song at the Apollo and that is when they became really famous. Maurice Starr managed New Edition and he said he was looking for the "white version" of them. Hence, the New Kids were born!
You're not too far off in the age category...that's Joey McIntyre & he was about 15ish when he sang this. He was the youngest & my personal fave!! He was still about 6-7 yrs older than me but I think he would've been my fave anyway. They were the 2nd concert I'd ever been to around 1990...so I would've been 11. I screamed & cried (like every other girl there) through the whole thing. I would regularly cry myself to sleep at night cuz he wasn't my boyfriend😢lol. I was the definition of a fan-girl. I get a pass cuz I was only 11 but apx. 5-6 years ago my brother got me the best Xmas present in the world...tickets to see them here in Boston again. I knew I'd have a good time, but as soon as they started singing I was that same 11 yr.old little girl sobbing uncontrollably. It was crazy!
Omg, I just laughed SOOO hard when you said that better not be the guy who made the video!! I can't catch my breath from laughing so hard!! That's Donnie Walberg from the band. 😂🤣🤣🤣
New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) was formed in 1984, they achieved stardom in 1989, an achievement listed as number 16 on Rolling Stone's "Top 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments".
When New Kids on the Block formed in 1984, all of the members were younger than 17. Jonathan Knight was 16, Danny Wood was 15, Donnie Wahlberg was 15, Jordan Knight was 14 and Joey McIntyre was just 12. Joey McIntyre is the main singer and Jordan Knight is the other soloist.
I saw them like 5-6 years ago at fenway park. Joey (the lead on this song) brought out his son, who sang this song (hard for joey to hit those notes anymore haha), it was adorable.
Their concerts are the best I highly recommend everyone see them. I’ve been 10 times 🙌🏼 My fave song!!!! Joe was about 13 he was my dave I was like 8. But now when he does it in concert oooooooo weeeeeeeee he definitely caters to us 40 year old who loved him back in the day (and still do).
Ooh you gotta do some of their new newer stuff Summertime, Single, Remix, Full Service (With New Edition) Block party, Boys In the Band. And you gotta watch the Videos!!! Ahhhh I love this!!! 💙💙💙💙💙 #BlockHeadForLife
Slow dancing at the middle school dance. So innocent. Hugs and holding hands were a big deal. The hand on the lower back was as far as the boy dared to go and tongue kissing was pretty gross. Just being young and enjoying a NKOTB love song.🥰🥰
Ya gotta watch them live to really get the experience. There are videos if pay per view concerts! (One is in long Island and the other I believe is in providence)
PLEASE REACT.... 1.SADE kiss of life (lovers live) 2.SADE nothing can come between us (live from san diego) 3.SADE no ordinary love (live video from san diego) 4.SADE cherish the day ( live 2011) 5.SADE sweetest taboo( live 2011) 6.SADE smooth operator (live video from san diego) 7.SADE paradise (live 2011)

Joey was my fave. Seeing them in July in Atlanta for the first time. I am SO freakin excited!!
I'm almost 49. I crushed on Jordan knight lol.
Me too, I'm 47 ❤
❤❤❤I saw them in Houston 1989, I still have the concert ticket. Joey's young voice smooth as butter, B E A U T I F U L to my ears! Even though Donnie is my fav!

Yes. ...the "Harmony" on the chorus is Absolutely beautiful "!.. I used to play this over and over...lol

Loved this since I was a teenager in the 80's ❤

Absolutely LOVEEDDDD New Kids On The Block!!! Still do..👀👀👀 lmao... They had some really good songs🥰🎵 Taking me back...
They are part of the Boston boys New Edition and The New Kids On The Block.
Their newer stuff does not compare (in the least) to their originals (like this).
They sang this song at the Apollo and that is when they became really famous. Maurice Starr managed New Edition and he said he was looking for the "white version" of them. Hence, the New Kids were born!
Man, that was 100% smooth fire! Had to UA-cam it to listen a few more times! That was good! Just ordered their cd off Amazon!

Joey McIntyre was born in 72 and this was released in 88, so I guess he was either 15 or 16 when it was recorded.
Actually it was recorded for the first album that was self titled. Hanging Tough was album 2 in 88, this was recorded when Joey was 13.
My favorite song at 12 years old 😂😂🔥💝
my ex wife took me see these guys and had a song as my wedding dance. I can't lie concerts were good lol.
You need to check out their actual videos so you can see their dance moves
Greatest boy band in history and they can dance too
Remix, Single, 80s baby... so many great songs in their catalog that are new(er). Boy band greats.
Thank you for doing this. I've been a Blockhead for 35 years. Check out also Boys in the Band!
I been a NKOTB fan since I was a kid. If you go away. Is one of my favorite by them.
React to; The Right stuff, Step by step, I'll be loving you, Cover girl, Hangin tough 😁
Joey McIntyre was 14 when this song was released.
Definitely no Auto-Tune back then, natural talent from all band members.
YES I LOVED this song so much... since I was a young teen
Flashback to the 80's heart fluttering lol.
I saw them like 5-6 years ago at fenway park. Joey (the lead on this song) brought out his son, who sang this song (hard for joey to hit those notes anymore haha), it was adorable.
Sounds pretty damn close to me: ua-cam.com/video/xPx9Sb_x95M/v-deo.html Joey can still hit the notes just fine, one off night means nothing for him.
awww
Do live performances! Look up Joe and Danny "I'll be there" medley from long Island NY concert! One of my faves.
It truly is a beautiful song that has stood the test of time. Glad you enjoyed it!
Did anybody else just feel there age...
Especially when he said the song might be older than him🙄🤦
Joeys vocals baby!! OG Blockhead!!
Middle school flashbacks right now 😄😅
Their concerts are the best I highly recommend everyone see them. I’ve been 10 times 🙌🏼 My fave song!!!! Joe was about 13 he was my dave I was like 8. But now when he does it in concert oooooooo weeeeeeeee he definitely caters to us 40 year old who loved him back in the day (and still do).

I was soo in love with Donnie Walberg ❤️😍😂
Me too!!!
This song came out 2 times... on the debut album and the 2nd album. It originally came out in 1985 or 86
Little Joey McEntire was like 5 when he sang this. 😂 So adorable.
I'm exaggerating. Lol

They did a song with Ne-Yo a few years back.
His name is Joe McIntyre. Aka Joey Jo. He was 12 when he joined group
Even House Party! But I'd suggest Remix ( I like the Remix) or Boys In The Band
Full Service is 🔥
Slow dancing at the middle school dance. So innocent. Hugs and holding hands were a big deal. The hand on the lower back was as far as the boy dared to go and tongue kissing was pretty gross. Just being young and enjoying a NKOTB love song.🥰🥰
17 when he sang it and puberty hit him very late
Lol no, he was definitely like 13
Ahhhhh Joey Joe lol
Joey was 14, Jon was 19 Danny was 16 (he was it for me back in the 80s) Jordan17 and this song is older than you.
Blockheads going to blow you up. We are loyal fans.
I'm 45 still listening to NKOTB

I’ll be loving you and hangin tough.
Ya gotta watch them live to really get the experience. There are videos if pay per view concerts! (One is in long Island and the other I believe is in providence)
Throw back from when I was young
You should check out some Another Bad Creation!! The songs Playground or Aiesha!
Gotta watch that video bro .. 💯👌👍🔥
I’m about to cry, but thanks! Happy new year!
You gotta do Dirty Dancing. More upbeat and fun. I've been a Blockhead since before this album came out!
Good point! Take your time and design the song. Talent was better back then also
You: sound like he 13
Me: he was 12 🙃
Lmao! Joey was 13!!!
Make sure and always watch the actual videos. It’s a whole thing
House Party too ✌️
I’m having a midlife crisis!
React to the Battle of Boston..New Kids vs New Edition!
New Edition had some good songs in the era, but NKOTB were so attractive and had the dance moves too.
You should check out them at the Apollo video from the 80's!!!
I think this song was released in 88. They have other good songs. If you go away is another good one
Thanks for making me feel old 🙂

In the 80’s I think.
1988, I looked it up.
I remember in the 80's when my friends that rocked to AC/DC and Ted Nugent would crap on this prepackaged band.
Yes that’s Joe McEntyre and he was 13, good call Holla…that high pitched voice that come in second is Jordan Knight
The original boy band
Joe was 13 or 14

Yo my dude, Maurice Starr is the person who discovered New Edition, 1st and when they fired him. He started New Kids... There both from Boston. Go listen to:
Is this the end... You can tell that its the exact same song. New kids even said that if it wasn't for NE there would be no NKOTB!!!
1988 89 joey jordan danny John donny
Guilty pleasure song but let's be clear...this is a Stylistics rip off.
