Yes! That's so true. Dylan probably smiled on the stage ten times in 60 years. He is a different kind of performer. It's quite evident he's not comfortable playing and singing with the Stones.
@albertp-os1bx Check out Dylan’s guest appearance with The Byrds playing Mr. tambourine Man, David Cosby (RIP) actually gets Dylan to laugh at the end of the song. Looks throughout the song that there is some sort of story happening between them culminating with the laughter at the end. Enjoy 😊!
Love how Dylan is rooted to the spot while Jagger leaps about as he does, Dylan loses it at 4.45 and cracks up, to me, one of the most iconic performances in music history, love it, we'll never see anything like this again.
@ See, I sing several Bob Dylan songs in our 3-piece cover band. and I get a lot of the comment "Gee, you sound a lot like Bob Dylan." The problem is I don't know wherher I'm being complemented or insulted. His voice isn't exactly the most beautiful sound ever! lol
I am so glad to see Dylan and the Stones playing together, even though Mick added his own style to the song it was overall a great performance of two legendary artists.
thats how differeht dylans phrasing can be mick had to watch his mouth stones have had a lot of guests mick never had to that WHEN MICK FINALY GOT AHEAD OF IT DYLAN JUST PULLED OFF STARTED LAFFIN AWESOME VIDIO
Bob's face: 'what am I doing here?' it so obvious he's so self conscious when he's trying to sing with someone cause it's really hard with his voice to match.
haha .. . . great song. . . but this is a rough performance. Mick is doing all he can to keep Bob Dylan in sync with the rest of the band. The look on his face sometimes. . . tough job Mick but you did it.
Is it just me or are the vocals too low? Fitting somehow that Dylan would accompany the Rolling Stones on Like a Rolling Stone, I just wish that the vocals were more audible.
I'm a Dylan fan, have many of his records, can play many of songs. But you gotta admit there is domething deeply strange about him, something off, the way he avoids eyecontact (among other things). My theory is that he is autistic, he has all the classic signs. Not that it matters, but I'm just pointing it out.
It's poor quality. They kept Bob's mike turned down too long. Bob is hard to sing harmony with. And hard to back on the instruments if not well practised with him. I believe this was on a tour of South America the Stones did 20 years ago with Dylan supporting. The Stones had Bob up to do a guest spot with LARS at several of the shows. I've seen videos from other nights of the tour and some were better than this.
Mick always tge boss turning Dylan's mic diwn! Dylan bassed himself on Jagger! People forget in the 69's Jagger was seen as the ultimate rebel and dangerous muxh more tgat Dylan
Love how Mick gets Dylan to laugh, so rare ❤😂!

I was there. Went there with my buddy, from Paraguay. 24 hour bus trip. It was Holly Saturday.
Cássia Eller opened the show. Best of times.

I was there too, and also at Ibirapuera Park two days later at São Paulo. What a show! Flawless night!
the most difficult job in music is singing harmony with Bob Dylan
But they both have fun :)
Tom Petty did them perfectly too
What an amazing audience!!
It was my birthday and I was there! April 11 1998
Oh yeah? 😀
Cool! Great memories I hope! Now it's all dust though 🙂

Love the shoot .... The wild warm explosion, and the enthusiastic writhing mass 🎉🎉 A joy !
Sem telefones celulares pra filmar... bons e velhos tempos!
Numca me canso de ver esse vídeo, q emoção é essa ??????!!!!!!!!
I am so glad to see Dylan and the Stones playing together, even though Mick added his own style to the song it was overall a great performance of two legendary artists.
Broadly speaking, I agree with that. It's a shame that the vocals were a bit hard to pick up in the early part of the song though.
essas lendas juntas no Brasil acho que NUNCA mais, rock and roll FOR EVER.
Verdade meu caro!!!💃💃💃💃

Mick knows when he's next to a legend.

Eu estava aí ! 14 aninhos !
It doesn't get better.
IMPAGÁVEL

Bob too!!
Thank you for posting this!😊😊😊😊❤🎶🎶🎶
Mick Jagger trying to sing with the unusual Bob Dylan's tempo at the beginning is hilarious.
Mick is the greatest showman around. He will take over if you try to mess him up.love bob
thats how differeht dylans phrasing can be mick had to watch his mouth stones have had a lot of guests mick never had to that WHEN MICK FINALY GOT AHEAD OF IT DYLAN JUST PULLED OFF STARTED LAFFIN AWESOME VIDIO
Porra, eu tava, obrigado, estou em prantos!
Só feras tá louco ....!
i was there......
Luckily English isn't the first language of the audience. They may not have noticed all the gaffs in this performance 😕
4:38 Mick tries to hit Dylans phrase :D :D

Lol. Bob messing with Mick on the last verse.. messing around with the timing. Like an older brother.

Sensacional nota 10
Ele fez o show de abertura
Bob's face: 'what am I doing here?' it so obvious he's so self conscious when he's trying to sing with someone cause it's really hard with his voice to match.
You might be a rock ’n’ roll addict prancing on the stage
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage
You may be a businessman or some high-degree thief
They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody

BOB DYLAN un Capo. Pero un engreído.

Woah what year was this in
This is iconic!! What was wrong with Bob mic? Mick always a show man
The audience is completely out of control... in a good way.

yeah boys
Mick stole Bob's song with that harmonica solo. Wow.
It's poor quality. They kept Bob's mike turned down too long.

Magic song. But Dylan's Mic was low.
Mitos...
Iconic and ironic.
Keith Richard's guitar
More volume on bob’s mic
