Personally I'd recommend the CTH 480, but if y'all don't have any options then go for the Gaomon S620, or my personal fave the CTL 472 which is basically the 480 but has either better or worse pros and cons, depends on the person edit: btw great review!
the newer gaomon s620 tablets have issues with hardware smoothing. having owned one myself, i can safely say they are worth avoiding. buy a ctl472 instead

@@aceng1 @aceng1 this comment is over a year old lmao... guess you're lucky I'm still here tho I had a ctl-472 for a while, but I've since given that away to a friend. That being said, the performance of the 470/471/472/480 are all almost the same, so it doesn't really matter which one you go for. Just buy whichever is cheapest where you are. The 470/471/480 are all out of production, so the 472 is usually going to be cheapest+most avaliable I've used all of the aforementioned models, and both a new and old revision s620. The old revision was just *ok*. I still found the any of those wacom tablets to feel noticably snappier and faster. The new revision s620 is a further step down, and I'd very much recommend avoiding it. XP-pen do sell the 'rev-a' g640, which has largely the same internals as the old-model s620 tablets, but it's usually about the same price as a ctl-472 anyway. If it's cheaper than a 472, and still within your price range, then maybe look at that I've not used the vk430, but from what I've heard, that's another step down. I wouldn't buy one, personally. It's up to you whether you decide to buy a cheaper tablet, then move to a more expensive one. Personally I'd recommend against that; I'd just bite the bullet and buy the more expensive tablet. If you stick with tablet, you're likely to move on from the cheaper tablets at some stage. If not, then you can still just sell it for about 80% of the price oh and as an aside, moving on to tablet isn't necessarily for everyone. I've personally moved back to mouse, after playing tablet for ~5 years
@@tovc thank you for your reply, now im into some last decision, so i found used cth 480 manga edition (i dont know if its any different from the regular one) for like 50 dollar and used ctl 472 for 35-40 dollar, lets say both are in my budget and which do you think should i get, the ctl 472 is like a preloved product since the seller have much of it, the cth 480 is likely someone's personal tablet that they just decide to sell it because the stock is just one.
I just got one for less than £30. My CTL-480 (the non-touch version) is still going strong after 8 years bought at MSRP. I just got the CTH as a spare lmao The price is more reasonable here in the UK.

I just got this tablet used 3 times in box with everything for $35. Its definitely a weird feeling even comming from a ctl4100. Its almost more choppy?
the ctl 4100 has notable hardware smoothing. the 480 probably feels choppier because that's your actual inputs, as opposed to a smoothed interpolation of them. the input latency will also be lower. playing with a larger area and using a smoothing filter in OTD can help if it's still an issue you are having
