Enjoy! You can read more about the AREE rover here if you're interested! www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/atoms/files/niac_2016_phasei_saunder_aree_tagged.pdf
Matt, you have inspired me, and thanks to you, I'm better at KSP since I've started watching your channel. Keep up the good work! Btw career mode is a good idea
I finished my first Eeloo mission! Specs: Launch cost: 26,700 funds Time of mission: 21 Earth Years, 244 Earth days, 12 hours, 18 minutes Crew: Jebediah Kerman Gravity Assists: 11 Version: 1.2.2 (never got the chance to update)
I am currently doing my own play through ksp (in career). The way that I play is get to orbit, visit mun once, visit Minmus 100 times (I love Minmus!), build a gigantic modular space station that costs like 2 million ingame kerbobucks and finally establish a deepspace coms network of satillites. Then start a new save and start again. I have the ability to go interplanetary but colonizing the moons of kerbin just seems more fun to me! But it is fun watching Matt do it!!
You could start a series where you build mobile bases! That would so cool because your bases in general are really cool and the mobile bases you already built are amazing.
latt mowne time to reply to a year old comment...If you read English you know he meant a series of Matt making mobiles bases which would be pretty cool in his opinion. *DEEP BREATH*
you could strand kerbals on eve and be able to rescue them at leisure. i can crash a plane into kerbin's ocean and have my rescue boat blow up more than twice
Holy crap your rover looks really cool! I really like it! Next time I playthrough this game, I want to try and send a rover to Eve, rather than doing what I did last time and just sending one big manned mission with a rover.
Woo amazing Matt! So nice to finally see the Rover I wanted so much!!! 😁 That's a really well done mission, and the Rover also is very nice. I also like the landing tower. 💪😉 Keep going this way, you do a great job on this game! 😛 TIPS TO CONTINUE: I think it'll be very nice to try to continue this series somehow. I know it could eventually get similar to the previous file, but this format is very nice, and the mission are all so we'll prepared that is just a pleasure to watch them. Otherwise, it would be very interesting to watch you performing a series of complex mission created in the mission builder. Just to have different and particular challenges to entertain us all. Hope these tips would be useful to you. Have a nice evening. 😊
As someone who has taken on Eve myself, and done a manned landing and takeoff, I have to say that you make this look really easy. You can see my Eve missions on the subreddit, search for the Eve Saga.
Really nice nice rover so glad you made this video, your videos helped me go to eve for the first time and now I'm working on SSTOs that are VTOLs and can go to lathe
That intro energized me! Virtual caffeine! :D -- AREE: Modern electronic circuits might not work, but there are a lot of electrical circuits which very well might, including FM radio transmission with a small alternator directly driving an antenna. (Only if magnets don't lose their strength in the heat.) -- KSP relaying can be funny. :) I had a fun moment when my drone fuel tanker ship on its way to Dres connected to a relay on its way to Jool which connected to a mining ship landed on the other side of Dres to relay to Kerbin.
matts intro was literally Eminem, Rap god "Lyrics comin' at you at supersonic speed (J.J. Fad) Uh, summa-lumma, dooma-lumma, you assumin' I'm a human What I gotta do to get it through to you I'm superhuman? Innovative and I'm made of rubber So that anything you say is ricochetin' off of me And it'll glue to you and I'm devastating, more than ever demonstrating How to give a motherfuckin' audience A feeling like it's levitating Never fading, and I know the haters are forever waiting For the day that they can say I fell off, they'll be celebrating 'Cause I know the way to get 'em motivated I make elevating music, you make elevator music."
The wolfhound engines are still pretty efficient and useful cause they pack a lotta punch. I did pretty much what you did but with more stages and no lander. Also I got a flat tyre on Eve!
Eu já tinha feito um rover parecido, mas o seu aterrizador com a antena retransmissora ficou incrível e inspiradora. Obrigado pela aula. Abraços meu caro.
Nice mate as always! Would love to see a sandbox vid series with the kraziest kreations you kan kome up with! Single stage from eve if possible? Planet hopping starships with dropships and rovers! Colonise Mun, Duna or Laythe etc with an epic city or something, whatever you do would love to see it!
8:34 And let's also not forget that Eve's atmospheric pressure and temperature are MUCH lower than on Venus. Even a human would probably survive there for long enough to die of asphyxiation instead of being crushed or cooked alive.
A good idea would be position a light shone from the craft that illuminates all of the craft seen straight on. Photons will rewrite other photons. The craft would cloak its self. A red light over the surface would look dim and far when illuminated by a laser emitting tone. Making the craft look invisible while in space. The klingon bird of prey has this light design. The red arc in the front emits red light. That is how it cloaks. Thank you.
I concur with your view on rovers; for those reasons I use the "bandicoot" class rovers extensively, that are not only blazing fast but can also "jump" off a lunar surface and land safely back down, but also mine the surface.
I have an interesting idea for a new series. It's also something of a challenge, I guess. Well, you are very talented at designing ships, planning missions, and flying. What if you made it so that you weren't ALLOWED to do the flying? Auto-pilot only, never allowed to touch controls except for science. Of course, you would be able to use whatever auto-pilots you want... but only one or two at a time. Anyway, just something I thought up.
Lol I tried to put my own rover on eve (with my own design) I had 1 ablative heat shield and everything just exploded. In retrospect I should have checked how thick the atmosphere was.
Matt you should Do a Series With RO and RSS, just build rockets to go to the outer solar system and maybe recreate the ISS or Apollo 11 or 13 maybe or a Gemini-Soyuz Recreation!!
In science mode it's easier and faster to just launch multiple missions, or missions with multiple simple landers, than it is to drive around with a rover...
I'm having huge issues landing a rover on eve. Every single time, no matter how gently i touch the ground, the rover wheels just break. I finally managed to land one rover, that was super light but with the biggest rover wheels (those things are huge) but i still have to drive super super carefully across the surface to prevent a wheel from breaking. Feels kinda bugged honestly.
you see what I want you to do is send a rover with the largest pair of rover wheels in the game to Duna. This will be challenging, but since you sent a submarine to eve, anything is possible.
I love when you do a speed build of the ships first, I personally can't get an SSTO over 100tons to not break as soon as it hits the runway from the hangar
You know I've been watching these for several months now and I'm quite jealous of the things you can do that I can't sadly because I'm on ps4 have no mods and there's no current dlc for ksp

Matt you are the Best youtuber in ksp
Can you do an extreme minimalist Eeloo mission?
PARAMETERS: keep it under 20k funds.
Can u give a shout-out to Jacob Plays Some Games?
I finished my first Eeloo mission!

matt's magic
at 6:05 you can see a fuel tank below the lander, it's full and acts as a balance point to keep the centre of mass nice and low!
@Kieran Nemeth he's a moderately big ksp UA-camr m8
keep calm and watch matt lowne

I need to learn how to be more efficient with delta v
@superconnorgamer roblox just use nuclear engines
5:27 Duna’s really thin and Eve is real THICC

@@radium6962 what?
@@theodorvepperI’m right there with you, I have no idea.
My first interplanetary journey was to Duna when I sent a relay satellite and a rover in one launch. Thx Matt lowne for the inspiration and tutorials
you could strand kerbals on eve and be able to rescue them at leisure. i can crash a plane into kerbin's ocean and have my rescue boat blow up more than twice
This is amazing! You were literally the one that inspired me to play ksp so keep it up!
wait have you actually sent a mobile base to moho or dres?
Please don’t end this series, or at least if you do please continue this type of video, i like these videos
Holy crap your rover looks really cool! I really like it! Next time I playthrough this game, I want to try and send a rover to Eve, rather than doing what I did last time and just sending one big manned mission with a rover.
my first eve mission consisted of a lander that could not get back don't worry it was unmanned
I really love the satisfaction of how your videos are slightly sped up, but still smooth.it's beautiful.....
Woo amazing Matt! So nice to finally see the Rover I wanted so much!!! 😁

Me: can barely get into orbit
Matt Lowne: Let's go to somewhere? Where? It can go anywhere. But where? Eh, how about Eve?
Me: ;-;
L Lawliet me: can nearly get to duna and cant return
Matt: hmmm lets go too eloo. I can relate
Love you man, keep up the great work at ksp and nhs👍
This has been a really awesome series, more like this would be great!
Yes, I love your eve videos!
You should really start a series with more mods, like KSPIE, b9, opt, etc. and also play in a different solar system
that moment at the end where the rover got stuck down the hill and couldn't climb it with those tiny wheels hurt me!
@Matt Lowne NASA is also developing a different solution for manned missions to Venus called HAVOC (High Altitude Venus Orbital Concept)
I concur with your view on rovers; for those reasons I use the "bandicoot" class rovers extensively, that are not only blazing fast but can also "jump" off a lunar surface and land safely back down, but also mine the surface.

I love this series and I think that me as well as many others would love to see more episodes
just trying to watch a matt lowne video, and even a video from 5 years ago is jumpscaring me with references to crushing a submarine.
You know its a good day when matt is uploading
Your first mission was a base on another planet. My first mission was a small booster, capsule and parachute, all of which exploded.
Awesome video Matt! Like always! 👍
Lol I tried to put my own rover on eve (with my own design) I had 1 ablative heat shield and everything just exploded. In retrospect I should have checked how thick the atmosphere was.
Chef rover ready to cook up some science
I love how you keep it stock
I hadn't heard of the AREE concept before now. Mind blown.
0:01 top ten rappers eminem is to afraid to diss
I have to admit that i'm curious to see a hard career ;) Keep doing great stuff!
you can upload the ship to the workshop or kerbalx?
I'm always instantly happy, when Matt something upload!
Matt you should Do a Series With RO and RSS, just build rockets to go to the outer solar system and maybe recreate the ISS or Apollo 11 or 13 maybe or a Gemini-Soyuz Recreation!!
dont you mean Apollo-Soyuz?
What is the quick flash on screen at 12:02 for?
I’m a new player but I managed to get my first a mun orbit and then return to kerbin and you vids helped
Me too but I got on the mun and got to lko :/

I built a rover and landed it on Eve but the tires seemed to sink into the surface a little bit and the thing won't go anywhere.
extremely underrated game that everyone should try
I crashed my ship into Eve, basically the same thing as putting a rover on it. It roved for a bit, then came to a permanent stop.
Delay from Eve to Kerbin Via Jool? About half an hour or so.
Super nice! Maybe, you should make a KSP movie that is similar to "Gravity" and Interstellar!
Build a rocket just with jet Engines
The intro is the best.
Career series would be fun to watch.
you see what I want you to do is send a rover with the largest pair of rover wheels in the game to Duna. This will be challenging, but since you sent a submarine to eve, anything is possible.
Moms kraken spaghetti
You make this look easier than it is

Glorious antenna design
nice talk

I don’t have a dog
recreate this in sfs
Make a kerbin under water base, Love the vids man you my homie :)
Thanks Matt u allways unlock part of my imagination. i mean u always inspiring me.
Evee you say? I can’t even go into polar orbit.
I love your designs
thanks to your video i'm rethinking my rover landing platforms . .2027 hours TD
Me *builds random rocket to get relay network to eve* successful
Also me *rebuilds this rover puts in same rocket tries to get to eve* failure
I had a Duna rover and the mission ended the same day this video was uploaded
You should send a rover to all moons of Jool in one launch!
Amazing how you reach Eve with like 10% amount of fuel i would need to get even close..
Very nice video thanks!
the rovers head looks like the red robot from "Robots"
7:58, what were you trying to do here?
Lhorns99 idk
You know I've been watching these for several months now and I'm quite jealous of the things you can do that I can't sadly because I'm on ps4 have no mods and there's no current dlc for ksp
I do love the idea of venus being colonized by strandbeasts, though i can understand why they thought doing that would be a bad idea.
Jeez that intro was fast!
0:01 Bri'ish
I made this lander and every time I deploy the rover the wheels pop. Help!
What is the mod which you can see your altitude and stats on the top of the screen plz link.
Kerbal Engineer Redux
search “ckan download” and press on first link, press “ckan.exe” and search Kerbal Engineer Redux(On ckan)
,tick it and press Apply changes
That’s All!
For mods not compatible with the current version of ksp, press settings and press compatible ksp versions
Note:Don’t try planet packs which require Kopernicus which is not compatible with KSP 1.6
I still don't know how you fit two engines under one fairing
I'd love to see you explore something like Galileo's pack - a brand new solar system in career mode.
i tried to do the other lowne aerospace 2 eve mission but i didnt listen to his advice and gave up so now im doing a rover
I the beginning I was like "Matt...the rapper"
Is it just me or does Eve look like the same planet model as kerbin, just a different angle colour and Atmosphere
Awesome as always!
Is it a mod that you use for the radio connections? I can't remember having to make relay stations in the stock one
