The loveliest and cheeriest couple in existence. A voice that would melt concrete backed up by the most innovative and wonderful guitar. You two light up a dark sad world. WELCOME BACK!!!
Wonderful start to my day! I always feel better after listening to (and seeing) what you bring to share! How beautiful...your "True Colors!" Happy spring to your family (and pups) there! Thank you for the lovely song, sweet, spring-y decorations and nice chat! Very cute flower-top you have on Kate, and wonderful Humpty-Dumpty and Jemima Puddleduck creations! Some day, I hold out hope you will come across the pond and sing (and play) for us! Would SO love to see you both here in Georgia!
Great Kate you've kept me going through all the lock downs on my bike and gym. Thankyou for all your songs. Particularly Until Morning and true colpurs too !! Ang Xx
Blessings to ya both from across the pond. I got the album on vinyl and it's been playing constantly the past month or so. Such a great selection and a true work of art! Cheers
Well, Miss Kate.......you're not supposed to make latter middle aged men (sitting here tonight in a big old deserted inn in Virginia's Blue Ride Mountains) cry?.......but you and your husband just did it. I'll be subscribing to your concert (which I'll happily listen to, here and with my three terriers). For all it's worth?......this American has known of your work from very early on. The first of my west highlands (a beautiful girl who lived for 19 years before she died last year) was named after you, in fact. I'd managed to pick her up from the breeder (she fit into my hand at that age) and got her home just before an ice-storm hit. Locked in that night, I dealt with her tiny/brave self and heard, on the radio in North Carolina, your cheering song "The Merry Green Broom". In the middle of that storm (the electricity had gone out), I named her after you (and that's a fact). I bought my first of your CD's after that and have bought all of them since. I wish i could post a picture here...I'd post one of my paintings of my "Kate" as a young girl-puppy. "The Merry Greeen Broom" suited her bold self from the start. I think you'd have been pleased with your namesake. Quite sincerely, and thank you for your music......... david terry www.davidterryart.com (go there and just search for one of the many portraits I did/sold of Kate over the years; like all of my terriers, she earned more than ten times her purchase price in modelling over the years).
"Ya" Kate" ! Am going to make a meme. Something just came to my mind, solidly, now after turning to this video maybe 20x over the last year. (You have no idea/... ) The spark comes from quite a chunk of institutionally encoraged reading of the Bible during my young years. Am not complaining bc there's a whole world of radical++ stuff in there. I, Mark: Do you read all those comments to find out what everyone is saying about you, Kate? K: ((looking a bit up, above the question) Well Mark who do you say that I am? M: The song is addressed to "you." That is, to me, Mark. And to some people, one departed, I can call near and dear. But the main line in the song is coming right back at you from the wild west of America. And we say: YOU have the true colors. And you're beautiful. Where else would we go for such music? You own this kind of art that extends the hand of good will, and sings the kind of honest, straightup encouragement that gets traction. Loves. Thanks!, Mark
Currently going through the hardest of times. Through my tears this gave me strength. Thank you both.
This was my sisters favourite song. She died in 2011 but I can see her so clearly when I hear this. Thank you xx
