UPDATE: Glory to the Most High God... after two weeks of back and forth, the bank approved my loan. I've been driving my dream Roadster since mid-October 2022. It felt like it was now or never!

@@lilkennnedy Exclusivity is one reason. There are only 3800 Roadsters ever made. It has exotic looks. I love the butterfly doors. It gets great gas mileage. And it's a comfortable daily driver.
@@SabbathDay that's fair, exclusivity is definitely why I grabbed an m235i over like a 435 or 335, only asked because I've only heard people who can't afford it say negative things about it lol, hope it's a good time brother I wish I had a fun car with good mpg at the same time fosure 🤝

Youre not supposed to put legs in first. BMW tech here and can confirm it's easy to get in with proper procedure. You sit on the side and slide butt in first. Legs kind of fall with it. There's videos explaining that too
Exactly right. I own one and entry/exit is a non-issue.

@josemhs to be fair even a Honda civic has proper procedure. Diving through the window headfirst would be an example of improper procedure. The I8 actually has comfortable entry it's just different than the more standardized technique we're used to

I checked one of them at a dealership. The salesman said you need to lower and pull yourself out like the cockpit of a fighter jet. Clearly he thought it was a cool thing to say. In my opinion I want to be able to get in and out of the car easily. For the high price of the car I shouldn't have to struggle to get in and out of it.

You can slide your butt in first and swing your legs in. Or swing your legs out and slide forward out to get out.
Either way, I'm short and have no issues with it, I can get into an Elise easily as well.

As a former Toyota service porter getting in the new GR 86 the small window next to the mirror has a sharp edge like if your not carful it can stab your eye.. not even kidding. I’m 5”11 so I don’t know if that’s the reasoning 🤷🏻♂️

Buys a pedal commander and turns into a hyper car
It's actually pretty easy to get into you just don't get into it like a normal car. You turn around and face away from it and sit down first. Then you swing your legs in and you're all set. No bumping of anything.
The real trick comes with getting in and out while the roof is up. I found two "easy-ish" ways.

NONSENSE. In manual sport mode, it's a beast. But then I can get 50 mpg when choosing to be economical. I have the best of both worlds. And the exclusivity of the best looking BMW on the road!
