Great vid, great description, great playing.
I looked up a similar model (might have been the same) and if it didn’t cost about 400$usd I would have one of these on the way already. I don’t even play trombone but I need this instrument. This is awesome
I remember seeing your video on the piccolo trombone a few years ago when I learned they existed. Such a coincidence that I stumbled across this short years later!
As a high school trumpet player that only plays trombone in jazz band this makes me wish my school had one of these :/
a soprano trombone would be closer to a trumpet
This might give me the sound of a Trumpet with so modified adjustments
Perhaps a longer mouthpiece
Omg this piccolo trombone sounds like a trumpet lmao.

“Least serious”
That’s really saying something, us trombonists don’t take anything seriously at all
I agree
I think 🤔 he would make a similar remark - if you handed him fx. a sax-sopranino or the Eb-clarinet. Don't worry !
I am in band and nobody wants to be friends with the trombone scion and I am in the trombone scion.

Take that, piccolo trombone
Is it physically smaller?

its average
i think its pretty big 😢

"it's absolutely deafening to play"
that's a piccolo alright
I've got flashbacks to sitting next to the piccolo player while we rehearsed Shostakovich's 5th Symphony.

Evidently you haven't heard our bass trombonist.

As a piccolo (piccolo flute) player I can confirm they are deafening and my ears ring if I play for a while.
that’s not small that’s average, right? like prolly has a good personality too.
"Least serious member of the trombone family". My guy, that's the least serious member of the whole brass section 😂
Not really since he's wrong and there's smaller ones than that lol.
So… it’s a trumpet with a big slide
No trumpet is pitched An octave lower
See any valves?
It’s what we like to call a “valveless trumpet” lol
Slide trumpet, maybe. Piccolo slide trumpet, I guess
Yeah I thought it sounded like a trumpet too 😊

Least serious mimba
Tactical trombone. For undercover band performances.
I love the implication that there is a serious instrument with a slide on it somewhere in the world
I wish he played the march the star piccolo solo with this
So a slide trumpet?
slide piccolo trumpet
'Hey youre in band? What do you play'
*the piccolo trombone*
One of the trombone players in the jazz band at my school played a solo on a piccolo trombone
"... and the least serious of the trombone family". As a trombonist, no trombone is serious. But we've been fooling composers for decades!

"I'll take your whole stock"

The world’s smallest trombone, really needs an audience

I'm sorry but that's absolutely adorable. I want one now 😂
Trent: "The least serious of the trombone family."
Wycliffe Gordon: "And I took that personally."
The result of a one night stand between a trombone and a trumpet
One of these showed up at a local pawn shop and they had no idea what it was. I knew what it was purchased it.
Any one else believe that he should send that to Pete?? Can you imagine the hilarity of him and his mom playing that?
" *Pitched higher than the trumpet, but slurs are torture (lightly tongue it), unlike trumpets.* " 💀
All I can think of is how funny Shaq would look holding that
It almost sounds like a trumpet in the mid rage.
I'd compare it more to the flugelhorn.
Is there such a thing as a Sopranino Trombone? I've heard it exists, but I can hardly find it anywhere.
I think it has great personality and would make you happy
And it's just so adorably cute 😍
It sounds like a middle school trumpet player 😂

I believe thein made a piccolino trombone
