I would much rather use a 90's high quality used mountain bike than a new walmart bike. I bought a 1992 trek 930 for $75 u.s bucks and they were like $550 u.s back then so counting inflation i got a $1200 bike for $75. You found the perfect kind of guy to buy a bike from. I would go back a try to find a couple more good deals. Its actually a good way to make some money. People love nestalga. Sell the magnas for profit. Buy a couple more motor kits, 49mm iron sleeves and see build some not chinese rides. Thats what i would do anyways.
I agree my red bike is a Murry from the 80$ made into he USA and everything and then I have a scwhinn frontier front 95 and it's their 100 year anversery bike
I've also seen quite a few good deals on motors & janky bikes in my area. Planning on building some & seeing how they sell. Once I have a couple other bikes I can keep I may sell the magnas but I have to fix the motor and build the wheel for one of them first.
@@shtboxgarageits all about storage space at that point. And there are other people trying to do the same thing. The main point was its great finding a guy with some nice bikes that will sell them for a reasonable price. Then someday in 40 years you will be the old guy selling those cool old bikes to some kids for a good deal and the cycle will go on.
