I can confirm "S-Market" is a Finnish grocery chain, last time I was in one I cant remember them selling air strikes but maybe I was too busy loading up on Fazer and Jaffa.
It's an honest mistake.

That fog of war glitch effect is really intense, it's something that people with sensory processing issues could likely have a problem with. I don't have such an issue but even I found it pretty distracting. I hope the devs tone that down or include regular fog of war as an option
Yeah my initial reaction to that was wow I really dislike how active that is- it'd be ok if it wasn't so aggravated and constant
Hello, thanks everyone for the comments and feedback! I removed the animated fog of war glitch effect, the new version 0.9.2 doesn't have it anymore. Big thanks also for SplatterCat for this video, this has been a lifesaver for the game again! Thanks everyone who has wishlisted and played the demo!

I'd forgotten about this, glad to see it's still a thing. Wish it had come out sooner, I think some people are going to dismiss it as a VSurvivor clone.
It doesn't really feel like Vsurvivors tho.

I would really add an option to replace the fog of war with just darkness or something... that glitching effect is super epilepsy inducing, which could actually be a problem to some people, plus to me its a bit jarring and I would prefer something more subtle
I like the look of the aliens. Very "War of the Worlds" inspired.

At first I thought the game was gonna be about playing as aliens trying to invade Finland. I guess this is fine too.
i am german so i know the Ä Ö and Ü but i have almost no clue of the finish language. i can count to three tho "yksi kaksi kolme" ... and i love finish music: nightwish, children of bodom, beast in black, korpiklani, northern kings, sonata arctica....

Reminds me of an older game named Cannon Fodder. Uncommon type and fun looking gameplay even if a bit simple.

i just got this game a few minutes ago and everything you said you would like too see in the game has pretty much been added, you can tell your units apart, they put bounderies for mountains
Positive critique and suggestions WITH sound effects. I've got to admit, having played video games since 1982 (the ZX Spectrum), your suggestions are almost always (everyone has their own tastes of course) good ones. If I ever get around developing anything you'd definitely be one of the reviews I'd watch and pay attention to ;)
This game looks like an absolute metric ton of fun. The concept is simple and engaging and the balance is clearly tilted toward player enjoyment, it just works.
I thought the visuals outside the maps were a glitch on my side and reading through comments I see they're not...it definitely felt weird, for my taste at least.

Did you catch the mechanic about waiting to buy new units because of their tier? I think they go up a tier in pairs naturally, or maybe there's something you need to do. There's also a hint that the exp is split amongst all of them.
This game is out now, can wholeheartedly recommend playing it again.
Well good day my fine lad! I was perusing your wide selection of content! To my amazement the quantity and quality was mighty superb ! Subjects ranging from classical modern with a splash of retro! I was discombobulated yet somehow aroused with the plethora of the subject matter! Well sir I came to the conclusion I must indulge in this net zero carbon game and eating the bugz it is the rage amongst the youth these seasons! Jaja haha very well sir carry on bro😂
Honestly been waiting for this game, just checked the progress on it a couple weeks ago. Kind of disappointed they didn't take some of your advice a year ago when you reviewed the game. Still glad the demo is out though!

Not having a cell phone as a teen/young adult was cool for me too. For basically the same reasons. But, I wouldn't want to be a person without a smartphone in 2022...At least as an adult. I mean, I can't even do laundry in my building without a smartphone. (the machines are bluetooth and you pay via an app...So, no quarters, no paycard, etc.)
Yeah, the first world is slowly entering an era where internet and cell phones are necessities, as in actually affect your ability to survive. We think life sucks for poor people now, just wait for what the next ten years look like.

Very interesting looking game! Wouldn't have occurred to me to mix roguelike with RTS. I think it would be good idea to have the fog of war look a little less... busy? It's honestly hard for me to look at.

anyone know if there is a way to turn off that weird glitch effect at the edge of the screen, that severely messes with my eyes but this looks fun

Honestly, the finnish would defeat aliens that I wouldn't be all that surprised.
Trick to pronouncing the a and o with dots or ä and ö is to do it with the front of your mouth where a and o comes from the back of your mouth.
Ä = the vowel in cat, fat & rat
Ö = the vowel in fur, her & burgle

Having played Noita I am not at all surprised by the Finnish names/words for things. You'd think their language was from another planet let alone Europe lol.

I think you would have been better off pushing to the fight at 12 just to show it off its hard, I haven't beaten it in the demo yet.
You must really not like the archers. I think you only ever grabbed 2 of them for the whole run. I thought they were supposed to be the high damage units.

I played the demo, the concept is cool but I found there were invisible barriers (beyond those highlighted) which made the gameplay seem needlessly restrictive. In it's present state, this falls far short of Vampire Survivors.
