- Enjoy the first 17 minutes of The First Descendant, the upcoming next-gen Unreal Engine 5-powered third-person looter shooter for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, ahead of the start of its open beta period on September 19.
Character select is like: Do you want to play as this Giant, Armoured Viking-Spartan, or one of these two children we found outside.

Everyone says it’s Destiny,Warframe,Outriders & Anthem vibes but from cutscenes I’m getting Appleseed Ex-machina vibes. Ajax gives strong Briarios energy !

The game looks Appleseed-ish. But seems to have the system similar to the other games mentioned.
Gameplay looks impressive, voice acting is a little cheesy.

@@Ninja_Proexcept when Destiny has much better dialog and voice acting than what Nexon has to offer. Plus the lip syncing isn’t properly consistent which is pretty cheap and lazy.

yeah, especailly on male voices. they are bit hard to understand until they become serious and energetic.
Dang... the impact of the bullets and the sound effects are crispy! Loving this. There are some minor complaints, like the sound of the grappling hook, but overall the game isnt looking too bad.
Pardon , but what?! The shooting sound effects are so flat and lack of impact. Check the destiny. This is how it should to be done.

okay not gonna lie this actually seems like a solid game with some high stakes i'm actually gonna buy this game.
Gives me a vibe of Destiny, Warframe and Anthem rolled into one but it looks really cool

Too many cinematics and little gameplay in these 17 minutels. Looks nice at least.
The game looks promising and gives me vibes of Vanquish, Appleseed, and Anthem. I'm glad they chose a third-person perspective. Minor improvements, such as enhancing melee combat with a cyber sword for cutting or tearing through enemies, could elevate the experience. Introducing more advanced enemies, bombs, and other elements has the potential to be a game-changer.
You can hardly get more generic than this.

You’re know your getting old when this game gives you serious Vanquish vibes back on the PS3. Really digging the character designs and overall art direction. It’s just to bad it’s going to be another ftp, looter-shooter slog.

This one just has better lighting cause its made in UE5 and that is doing most of the work for them. That's literally it. Most likely going to see a lot of games get overpraised for doing the bare minimum when it comes to UE5
The gameplay doesn’t seem that great , the melee looks weak animation should be different for each class an most enemies just roll over even the boss was a brainless fight . Would like to see more tho maybe it gets better

In terms of aesthetic I'd really struggle to choose anyone besides Ajax.

@@louisianimal24naaa he's right, especially about Warframe. Which this game is more than just a whiff of without being near as awesome. The movement system in WF alone blows this off the table. Its amazing how many games have tried to sprinkle the WF dust into their games and fall short while WF is one of the least talked about it has been VERY influential.

If you go to the website and look at the Dev notes, the Main Producer said that he does not want melee to be a main focus of combat in his game. It's there as a tool, but he prefers ballistics and skills to be the core combat.
The story looks generic and bland, the gameplay is a bit iffy too familiar to Anthum and Warframe a bit gonna have to see some more to make a proper decision !

the characters seem like they are weightless.... specially when they are running and using the grappling hook!!
Fells dull.. No impact, no emotion, no sense of epicness... Really hope that it improve in the future...

that's going to be, nothing new. If you play the previews beta or alpha it was pretty much looter shooter with a scuffed story + it's Nexon let see how many p2w or micro it's gonna be in the game.

Playing the beta gives me the same feeling as anthem. This could be an amazing game but it depends on how the community act towards it and if its a game that can truly be played for years since its an mmo

Looks like its gonna be the next Anthem. Promising, but overrall underwhelming. If Gravewalker boss fight is an indicator, this will be an easy pass. No impact, floaty, dumbdown AI

Game looks totally underwhelming. Boss fight was dumb and bland. It literally did not deal any damage to the player. And died fairly quickly. Enemies are squishy as well. They go down like ants. Environments are bland as well. This needs a lot of work!

@@TheBusyBard You don't understand that a game can have a tutorial boss fight that is informative as well as interesting, and lets be honest here, the tutorial was pointless. All the player did was aim, shoot, grapple and shoot some more before the boss died. The player took zero damage and for the most part the boss walked ineffectually around the arena and did virtually nothing. What was there to teach, how to grapple? There's a keybind on the screen that shows what button grapple is bound too.
Nothing original here but gameplay looks slick and sweet sound effects.

the script for some of this dialogue was... questionable. And the enemy AI made it look like an UE5 tech demo. Oh and the "here's how to beat the boss before you even start fighting" is what all modern gamers want in this post-BOTW era. We want our hands held, yes, for sure.
Not everyone are hardcore like you. Also looter shooter isnt a hardcore soul like game like Elden ring. 😂

They made that GraveWalker seem like a boss, but it died so quickly... Hope they make these encounters more challenging. Character didnt even have to use any of his abilities which seems kinda pointless.
They literally said "it seems weaker than normal" in the video.

@@H3ADHUNT3R360 Its one of the earliest bosses, the others get way tougher and mechanics. Its like an entry level boss just to learn the weak point mechanics, best to steamroll it and move one to the cooler ones.
Well, it's just the tutorial, so it makes sense if it's weak. You should be able to fight it properly later in the game with its full power.
