Is it me or are skaters huge narcissists? Or maybe it's just that kids in general are so self-centered. When I do hobbies, I don't need to do them in the middle of a public crowded public area. Like imagine if golfers just started teeing up on main street. Or if I started a hockey game up in the middle of the business district on private property as people are trying to work and shit? And it's always, "Let me just do it once then I'll leave", which turns into 75 awkward attempts because only pros land anything consistently.
IDK I used to skate, but now at 35 I find myself sympathizing with the security guards more than the annoying skater kids. Like they are just trying to put food on the table and they have suburban little billy badasses hiding behind their age with their 80 dollar skate t-shirts (getting your mom to buy overpriced nonsense is so "streetwise" and "urban" amirite) trying to dirty up their bosses buildings and rails and shit. Probably sue them if they get hurt and shit.

I absolutely love it when police are cool with skaters. I mean, it doesn’t take a degree in physics to understand they have bigger problems to worry about. Positive interactions between the police and youth is much more important than forcing them to stop skating at that moment. One positive interaction can change someone’s option about law enforcement for the rest of their lives. Same goes for negative interactions. And if the police or security have to stop them from skating, just be nice and respectful about it. It’s really not that hard.

@@zackscott903 yeah I was like 14 when it happened but I didn't think I could do anything about it. I had to save up money from doing chores all summer to buy another complete lol. I'm 36 now and still skate everyday I have off work but I do it at the skateparks around my house, I'm too old to be skating schools and stuff anymore 😁. The 90s for skating was fucked, we were treated like gang banging drug addict criminals, now Skateboarding is a lot more accepted.

1. He wasn’t trying to hit you, you just wouldn’t get out of hit way
2. You have to be 18 to sue someone
Actually you don’t have to be 18 to sue someone, many people have stood in court and sued under the age of 18
