When you turn on the outdoor channel and watch people with their own show shoot a 200 inch buck that they have been baiting over there food plot it’s like fishing in a barrel.this is real deer hunting being successful just buy reading the signs in the woods well done nice buck congratulations
Nice buck I miss hunting white tails in Maine me and my dad hunted in rockwood for years I killed a 10 pointer dressed 240 my biggest white tail to date my dad passed haven’t been back might now thank you
Well done all the way around. Thats a real hunt. Maine is a lot like the north woods of Minnesota where I grew up hunting , Low density but big bucks and you really earn it. Our Dad passed and its tough to keep it going every year so Im glad to see the real deal from other folks. Keep the traditional alive!
A great day and a nice hunt with calm shooting, a very classy video with well done editing. If all videos were this good the sport would most definitely have a larger audience. That's a hog of a buck, now the bar will be tough to reach in the family.
Congrats! My dad shot a big Maine bucks on the second to last day of rifle season, he was pretty worn down but weighed 241 at the end of the season which is a lot, congrats again
What a beast, to many people judge bucks by antlers, the true measure is weight , its way harder to kill a 250 lbs buck then it is a B&C buck!! Congrats on a true North Woods giant !!!
Many years ago I shot a similar sized buck in Maine. He dressed out at 242. I got him on Thanksgiving morning and from the looks of him, he'd lost some weight from the rut. Not a giant rack, 9 point, but a long big body. Good job getting this one on video!
Congratulations fellow hunter Awesome Buck any Buck over 250 is a Giant period!!! 👍👍🦌 Great Camera work 👍👍 The Great State of Maine Awesome 👍👍🦌 The Vermonter BS
congrats nice buck. he dropped in his tracks all scrunched up because it looked like your sweet shot hit the nerve bundle in the high shoulder shutting down his system right now down,done,dead..... sweet
That had to be one of the bucks you heard fighting. He's got a wound in his neck and he's missing some hair here and there, and it looks like a tine mark on his head. What a great deer. What a great shot.
Awesome video. But I dont miss those deep woods deer drags anymore. These days when I do go deep. I just quarter them out. Awesome hunt though. Congrats. Cant wait for more!
Nice job! I shoot all of my deer from the ground, still hunting, tracking, etc. I can never get over how you stand hunters try to stop the deer in an opening. I never get clear shots like that, nor do I have the patience to sit all day in a stand. 'm watching the video saying to myself "Shoot! Shoot him now. Now. Now!" I kept thinking that if it was me messing with the camera he would have gotten away. Thanks for the video! Keep up the good work.
Congratulations Isaac! 252lbs wow! You are a great film maker and I look forward to you videos. You need to start hunting other New England states after getting a deer so you can make more films. About time you start getting endorsements and sponsors and free gear to test out and review. Would make a great career! Alan from SE NH zone “L”
I just moved to Maine from mass! Stay out of Harold Parker state forest, especially during shotgun season. There are pockets of em all around the state, you just have to be smart. And hunting with a bow is a smart choice because they don’t allow center fire rifles only shotguns and bows and some handguns but permission is easier with bow. Good luck!
My pack is as big as yours, maybe bigger. As I carry almost everything with me, plus food for 2 days . My problem is I get more hungry in the woods 😄. Nicely done 👍
Damn guy!....cover of the "Sportsman" two years in a row maybe?.....very nice job with the videos....you've got a good crew too...that's what it's all about...you can't buy that....
Just like some old Mainer guy "Yeah, and were gonna be in your stand too Ian. Just so ya know were taking stand"😂 It was too warm this year. The only thing I shot was with my trail camera. But, it was a brute. Better luck next year. Holy crap bro, that is a fatty!
Very impressive! To go to Maine and film this - impressive man! Where are you from? I have watched your last couple successful Maine hunts. Great production pal! Love it!
@@NorthFilms1 Oh! I could have sworn that you said in the beginning that it was nice to be back in Maine. You must of actually said, "great to be back up here", not what I thought, lol. I'm not a good listener! Hahahaha... Loving your video productions! Great B-Roll and nice to see you actually use manual focus and look into the lens to make it look professional.
@@SpikesandGills thanks man! I go to school in MA so I do say that a lot because most of the time I’m making the trip back up to Maine. I appreciate the support!!
Grunt and whistle 5 times and if course he finally stops right behind a damn tree, almost seemed like my luck, nice shot. No chasing, no tracking. Great video. That buck was on a doe scent for sure, didn't care what he heard, he was after her, one thing on his mind. Lefty too, my dad's a lefty and for 30 years hunted with righty guns and would have shells ejected across his face, so 5-6 years ago me and my mom got him a lefty .308, I don't know how he did it for years I tried to shoot his lefty gun one day and was like " how did you do this for years?" . Great video, where abouts in Maine? I live in southern Maine, unfortunately, haha, naw bout 20 mins from Portland but it's rural, got 35 acres can walk out my door hunting, but seems by the weather your definitely further north, but no snow yet so maybe not the county?
I'm a very big and strong man..I had a 141 pounder a few years ago kick my ass so bad dragging it out I actually left it ...I had no help. nobody was out hunting in ocala national forest near me..I called my friend that was working that I go to and that's where I field dress and bone the deer out and he talked me back into trying to get the deer out...I drug another couple 100 yards and gave up again...he told me to chill out and get in your truck and drive around with the air conditioner on get my body temperature down and go back. I did about 3 times...the temperature at the time of the dragging was over 85 degrees..I just dont believe these guys in Maine could drag a deer out solo at 85 degrees..just a week ago I took my heaviest deer out in Uwharrie national forest in north Carolina it was 207 live weight .i made it but it wasn't easy solo. The temperature was around 30 degrees ..i went back out hunting that same day in Florida and the official high that day was 91 degrees a record for ocala Florida..it was November 1st 2014...i would have paid a 100 bucks for help but no one was hunting
Just watched your video nice deer and smart to walk up slow I've had one get up and try and run after laying for 20mins. Jsyk I'm wearing head phones and I'm pretty sure I can hear your heart beating lol might have been mine but I don't think so
And nobody cares about how it scored! All we ever cared about was a decent rack, and the body weight actually was a bigger deal. That one might have been competitive for the winner of the big buck contest.
Why you trolling this guy? He said 8pt or a cheap 10 if your not being technical. And it was gutted when it was weighed. Watch the video. No need to try and give back handed comments on his efforts.
What a buck! It's the folks like you that take the time to film your hunts and put Maine on the map! Congratulations!
Ahoy from another Maine hunter! We're probably related.

Best part is a woman who wears flannel shirts.
Hey great job all around. From one Maine hunter to another I say well done, not enough Maine content on UA-cam. Keep em coming.
