Most people don’t realize how tough hunting the Big Woods of the Northeast really is. Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire where I’m at have big woods and zero agriculture and you earn every buck. Congrats to you and your Dad. Nice job!
My 90 acres borders a couple hundred thousand of conservation and national forest here in NH. It’s pretty crazy. You work for each and every, few and far in between, but it really produces some incredibly impressive bucks.
I was thinking, how does this young man stay so calm, cool, and collected putting the camera on a nice buck, then readjusting, then getting ready to shoot? But, all your fun excitement came out later! Way to go!! I played it back at .25 speed and it appears at 23:33 that you might have hit the buck, or a branch nearby, the way that he moves. At 23:37 it looks like a definite high spine shot. Did you ever find a wound or nick from the first shot? Way to go! Congratulations. I have never hunted whitetail because I live and hunt in Oregon, where we have only a few. One of my dreams has been to hunt whitetail in Maine, after reading about famous hunters there. Good job. God creates beautiful animals for us to watch, film, and hunt.
BUCK Yeah!!!! Well done young man. Don't listen to the arm chair hunters who have no idea What it's like to hunt the northeast. A big congrats from central NH!!! Great buck your dad shot as well.
I'm constantly trying to let those spoiled hunters of the mid-west what it's like here. There's a reason that big time hunting shows aren't filmed in New England.
Excellent video man congrats on the big buck but the footage is great, I struggled for the last 3 years trying to film a buck shot on film finally this year got 3 big bucks on film for my channel and felt that same excitement you showed awesome job
Awesome buck young man. I’m happy you got him. I liked your narrative throughout the video while you were sitting watching for a deer. Your first shot hit a little tree, I could see the snow coming off it. Great job
What a super job with this video ! 👍 love the quietness with the whispering and all the effort put into everything. Say nothing about taking 2 beautiful bucks congrats !
Nothing wrong with that shooting! People don’t understand how much effort it can take to get a shot at a buck like that up here, you take what you are presented...thick brush, walking..running. Great job!
Nice job bub! Welcome to the club! Got my first at 217lbs this year on a 6.5 mile track- feels real good to finally tip that scale over 200. Didn’t film mine though... so extra daps for that. Can you believe deer season is only 10.5 months away?!
I think you clipped a limb on the1st shot. Incredible he gave you a second chance. Congratulations. It’s great sharing the hunt with your Dad. My Dad was a non hunter and I miss that. I’ve hunted deer 60 years without that experience. Nice buck.
Enjoyed the scenery and the hunt. Rather watch a hunt like this any day over some big name celebrity bought and paid for in the name of sales and marketing.
Way to go there lad, you had a little bit of holy crap look at that rack fever there but you got your wits back together and finished the job. Both you and your dad got two brutes this year, congrats to both of you guys. Cherish these hunts with your dad my friend. Stay safe.
To be able to have the presence of mind to film a buck that size up until the point of taking the shot? How many others would have said, "screw filming, i'm about to crap myself, I gotta focus on the shot"! But you young man filmed right up until the shot, missed and had the presence of mind to compose yourself and take that second shot! Of course, as luck would have it the deer never went out of frame after the first shot! That was some epic filming and shooting! You will remember this for a lifetime! Great job son!
Nice work! The naysayers and self righteous pricks about when and where to shoot can take a leap off the deep and end. You harvested a beautiful buck and did so in a perfectly legit manner. You were well rewarded for all your efforts. Thanks for posting the video. Keep up the good work!
That's why we embrace the cold and long hours of sitting in it.memorys of a lifetime are made with family and friends.2 great bucks congradulations to you both.
Congrats from The NEK of VT. I know what sitting a stand or walking one up in 0 degrees and snow is like. Much fun to be out in the woods no matter the weather.
I hunted in Maine from age 10 to 30 before I moved away. I know how difficult it is to kill deer there. You guys did an excellent job with the hunt and with the filming.
Just like to say, at the 8 minute mark when you say" I wanna go easy here, because I don't know where the deer went from here" I just about rolled out of chair laughing because with all the blood you got and white snow as a background I'd hope you can't lose that deer with the setting.
Congratulations from Newport New Hampshire . New England is tough deer hunting and people give me crap for taking every legal advantage I can to help me put meat in the freezer. No venison for me this year just lots and lots of first time farm raised pigs. Good luck next season!!
Gr8 Video, 💘 your passion! You made a fantastic follow-up, especially with nerves. You have professional skills with operating the camera. I especially enjoyed the Floyd 🎶 🎵 🪕. Keep it up and good luck in the future!
Good hunting. Great poise. Great shot on ending his suffering. I would have taken all the same shots. Also, this video shows the natural adrenaline that flows after taking a "deer" shot. Some think we just go out and fire our gun at deer, lol, there's a lot more to it.
Nice hunt...you did well even if the conditions were rough. Good shooting of that target buck. How far away was that deer. When you pulled the trigger ?
Congrats! Great filming young man and a great deer. It must have been great to share the moment with your dad after the shot. There was no need to point out or say to you "you shot him right in the ass" or "you ruined his whole hindquarter". You did a nice job and we all wish to be that successful!
Most people don’t realize how tough hunting the Big Woods of the Northeast really is. Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire where I’m at have big woods and zero agriculture and you earn every buck. Congrats to you and your Dad. Nice job!
Same where i live midwest big woods

Enjoyed the scenery and the hunt. Rather watch a hunt like this any day over some big name celebrity bought and paid for in the name of sales and marketing.
Absolutely
Nice buck! And even more impressive is that you were able to capture it all on film with no cameraman!
Way to go there lad, you had a little bit of holy crap look at that rack fever there but you got your wits back together and finished the job. Both you and your dad got two brutes this year, congrats to both of you guys. Cherish these hunts with your dad my friend. Stay safe.

Nice hunt Issac! Great looking deer for both of ya!
Nice work! The naysayers and self righteous pricks about when and where to shoot can take a leap off the deep and end. You harvested a beautiful buck and did so in a perfectly legit manner. You were well rewarded for all your efforts. Thanks for posting the video. Keep up the good work!

Great job. Keep the videos coming our way.
Good video ... I enjoyed it ... thumbs up to your pops and for you
What type of rifle are you shooting? Looks like a Tikka. I have the Tikka T3 in 270 wsm awesome gun.
Keith Harrold that’s the gun! In my opinion you can’t get a better rifle/caliber combo for north woods hunting
Just like to say, at the 8 minute mark when you say" I wanna go easy here, because I don't know where the deer went from here" I just about rolled out of chair laughing because with all the blood you got and white snow as a background I'd hope you can't lose that deer with the setting.
Great video what a hunt. Excellent self filming and narration.
Awesome Video - I did some rookie video taping of my Moose hunt in WMD-1 this year...Love Maine Hunting...
