Members at his club are lucky to have him, what a realist kind of guy. Refreshing to see this when you have all these UA-cam golfers that can't break 90 with MB blades. Play what gets you the best score. Well done gents.
I didn't expect to see Lou using clubs from such a variety of manufacturers. I found his reasons for doing so very interesting and understandable. Good work once again fellas!
I’m getting back into golf after 10 years off. This video made rethink my bag setup. Irons 6-SW was the direct I went with a 5 hybrid. Rogue Max D 10.5, TM 300 13.5, Rogue 5w and 7w.
Really enjoy your on course chats with, Lewis. He's a great role model for a common sense approach to what clubs we should have in our bags. Great vlog, Andy.
I can relate to this so much. I managed to get into the plus figures across last season and I kept getting the same comment “I thought you’d play blades, I thought you’d play X stiff shafts ” - they just don’t work for me at all, I play Mizuno JPX 919s with 105 s300 stiffs because they work. I hate anything small and I can’t get on with heavy, overly stiff shafts. Funnily enough, I put the gap wedge from the set in too and it’s so so much easier to hit from 115-120 yards consistently (I used to hate hitting a full 50 beforehand) and it’s a weapon from the rough! Great set of clubs mate and I think a lot of people could learn from this 👍👏
Interesting point on the wedges. I’m moving from T20 wedges (50;54;58) to Glide 4.0 and also dropping set wedge to add in 45 Glide PW. Set irons will only be 6-9i for the 2023 season!
Great video chaps. Lew fitted me for a putter some years back and I've gone from being a desperate, straw-clutching, try-anything multi-putter owner to a contented, single-putter guy. Have sold off all my old stock. Not even looked at another putter since then. Hope you can find something that fits the bill.
This was an amazing video! Even the pros ask the same questions us the average struggle with. The discussion about the 3-wood and the one about the wedges (transition from game improvement to a “blade” wedge) are things that have gone through my head over the years. It comes down to what you have confidence with. Love your channel!
Pls thank Lou for taking the time to share his WITB with the channel👍👍 I would love to find out how many golfers have gone out and bought a 7Wood on your recommendation, even poor of Low has ended up with one in the bag LOL
I was lucky enough to play 18 holes with Lewis in Portugal at the end of March. He is great company hits the ball fantastically but most of all has a real passion for the game of golf. His ethos is reflected in this video. Mick Paul and Tracy all say hello and we are looking forward to a trip to Holywell this summer. Thanks Andy
Great video! I have a Srixon XF85 5w. It's really hot of the face. My bag is also a wonderful mix with Callaway, TM, XXIO, Cleveland, Odyssey and Tear Drop.
Lou hits a fantastic shot and Andy says "Nice" its a bit more than nice Andy!! Lou is a great striker of a golf ball. Interesting comments from him I have the same feeling with my 50 degree wedge and have thought of getting a matching gap wedge to my set.
Nice is what you say when your playing with your buddy. Nice in golf parlance basically means fantastic shot when said between friends. Hope that helps Ken.
A great and real video - it’s scores that count not posing with blades (no matter how nice they look 😉) The only thing I’d ask is What ball? Can clubs with lower spin be offset by using a ball with higher spin??
Interesting that Lou debates having a blade 50-degree or a 770 Gap wedge… I enjoyed his take on getting the 770’s because he’s “had blades”. Everyone needs a little forgiveness
I love golf clubs….. having multiple sets I can take out during the week is something I love to do. To shoot low scores like Lou says he loves to do…. Totally agree, you have to stick with one set.
Excellent piece. If ever there was evidence to back the findings here look at Rory McIlroy going from Titleist to Nike and Justin Rose Taylor Made to Honma. It didn’t work for them and proved the importance of feel and trust of what’s in the bag.
Enjoyed this video. Better players, not necessarily the pros, since most of them are sponsored, seem to always play what is best for them regardless of brand and style, which is the smart thing to do. I do know that most players hardly change their 3 wood once they find one that works for them. Cheers.
The one thing i would have liked to have seen was the difference in yardage between the 3 iron and 7 wood shots simply because it was a day where there would not have been that much role
It's refreshing to see that even a pro does not always want to have all the "latest and greatest" equipment in the bag. Goes to show that "if it ain't broke (if it works) then don't fix (change) it."
Not sure of if anyone else noticed. Driver - TaylorMade. 3Wood Srixon. Irons - TaylorMade. Wedges - Cleveland (Srixon). Suggestion for why he's struggling finding a putter, it's not Taylormade.
ppl shud watch this if Louis is not using all new what dose that say u don't need all ip to date if it works it works don't let other ppl presser u in to buying what u don't want

Lounis a great source of knowledge and savoir-faire. No frills, just good sense. Always a pleasure to hear what he has to say.
I didn't expect to see Lou using clubs from such a variety of manufacturers. I found his reasons for doing so very interesting and understandable. Good work once again fellas!
He's not exactly in the upper echelon, so not going to be contracted to one maker.

Played a custom fitted Taylor Made R9 Supertri with a Diamana blue board for about 10 years. Moved to a custom fitted G410 and see no need to change.
Great video! I have a Srixon XF85 5w. It's really hot of the face. My bag is also a wonderful mix with Callaway, TM, XXIO, Cleveland, Odyssey and Tear Drop.
Love the videos, the style and how we can relate to ourselves. Keep it up!

Awesome video. Well grounded for sure. Lou gets it.

Yep interesting debate

Probably the best vid you have ever made!....well done!
What course is this please. Looks really nice 😊

Lou. I’ve had that putter for years but due to soft insert behind the face I find long puts difficult to get to hole
Interesting what he says about the stealth drivers 👍 I've heard the sim2max is the ONE to play
Love Video...Play what works not what you think you should play

Put in a approach wedge this year took me 50 Deg blade wedge out....much better for me lads
As always, illuminating and engaging!
22:23 what was the second putter in his bag?
Great video! Very interesting.
when you go into the pros bags, there is some real old relics under those head covers, despite what the sponsors want you to think, love it
Great video. I enjoyed that.
The one thing i would have liked to have seen was the difference in yardage between the 3 iron and 7 wood shots simply because it was a day where there would not have been that much role
good to be back
You go with what works.
What course is this
Can’t get enough of Lew. Absolutely the best.

Andy, Lou has to be your worst nightmare with all that old stuff in the bag. Seriously now I did enjoy this review, Thanks.
"More Floaty." Another one of those professional golf terms that describes some of my mishits.
Great stuff boys 👏🏼
I hope Lou never breaks that shaft 😮😮😂😂 good to see Lou back lovely man
As an average golf player at what point do we stop changing what goes in the bag against players ability
If it ain't broken don't fix it. Loved the video.
Great video
Very interesting
Andy & Lou.... the new Little Britain. "I don't Like it" 🤣
Introduction? Who is he?
Loved it
ppl shud watch this if Louis is not using all new what dose that say u don't need all ip to date if it works it works don't let other ppl presser u in to buying what u don't want
Love to see Lou on the channel, but preferred it when he was fat like me😂
don't fix something that's not broke
