The uni-directional (or sometimes called just directional) microphone seems like a clear winner here. I would definitely put a windshield on it to get rid of plositives popping but that will make the microphone look even bigger. Maybe it helps if you could have windshield material tinted to correct skin color?
yeah my pastor has used an omni lapel and omni headworn before but they are just so sensitive- they pick everything up. Even with the monitors muted and the gain fairly low, all the hard surfaces just bounce back the sounds so easily and it's just not a winnable solution. What doesnt help either is that the main speakers are not that high above the stage as well as not being too far in front of where the speaker/lead vocal typically stand. All these reasons make it much easier to just use a good, wireless handheld with good rear ejection OR possibly looking into getting a headworn or lapel mic that is uni-directional.....
Good explanation. If I may add, the next time to do a demonstration, add -- at the end of your demo -- that the song, Fever, is still playing, you just can't hear it with the uni. Otherwise, it was a good video.
Please share a link to buy this product. I am interested in the Unidirectional mic. Do we get two mics (Omnidirectional & Unidirectional), or any one of them?
@@zugbob No :) what you need to use for singers is one with a uni-directional capsule, that is the MU-53HN so that it would pickup the singers voice but reject any other noise on stage. it will also avoid creating feedback from monitors.
Sir effective kaya po sa omni directional ang paggamit ng gates para hindi masagap yung external sounds tulad ng music sa cellphone as demonstrated? Or need parin talaga ng unidirectional if gusto namin eh silent background? Thank you
Ano po ung tawag doon sa adaptor na ginamit para ma iconnect sa xlr yung headworn mic? Tried googling na po pero di ko mahanap ung exact na tawag hehe.
Thanks for this video sir, God bless po!
Hi Grandy, what type of headworn mic are you using, an OMNI or a UNI-directional mic? what is your speaker placement situation? pictures would help us help you more effectively. you may send it to our FB messenger
Kasi Pag OMNI-diretional ang capsule ng headworn, talagang mahihirapan ka pag merong monitor. best to swith to a headworn with a Uni-directional mic.. and you ahve to make your pastor understand the technical reason bakit... para magawa niya ang kailnagn niya gawin without problems and magawa mo ng mauti ang task mo
the explnation was great thank you ! needed this a lot
Much appreciated!

Thnx
This is really good info for me.
where did you bought the mini xlr to xlr connector?

OMNI: Mipro MU-55HNS
UNI: Mipro MU-23HNS
Can we get a link for the adapter?
nice video! Thank you. What if I am playing guitar while singing? which one is better?
go with a uni-directional headworn mic. It would pickup your voice well and avoid picking up your guitar which may have its own mic or pickup anyway
what headworn microphones do you recommend?
sir good day
ask ko lang if anong unit yung headworn na gamit mo na yan na black..
Thanks
Perfect

nope, that is not the solution, that might lead to other challenges.. using the proper pickup pattern is still best
