You forgot to mention when welding cast you need to make sure it cools down slowly by wrapping it in welding blankets or hit it with a torch ever so often until it hits around 150f to prevent stress cracks. pinging the welds can also help prevent stress. Also when preheating you should use some acetone to clean the parts because when it burns its none toxic unlike other chemicals.
Nice build dudes! Like the way it turned out. Have a 2001 double cab 4X4 I bought when the first double cab hit Oklahoma. I am not able to do the big stuff like you do but the last guy that tried to buy my yota I told him $500,000 and it's yours. Otherwise leave me alone. He hasn't been back. Pure stock but gets me anywhere in Oklahoma or Texas that I want to go. Your videos are getting better with each passing month, my friend. Just keep it up and you will be with the big dogs. Besides, you actually work on yours instead of paying to have it done. That, in it's self speaks miles above the guys that can pay to have it done. Keep on keeping on my friend. You got this!!!! ✌️✌️✌️
"Shortly after that the original 22re decided to call it quits". Immediately following the dude riding redline like he's driving a clapped out civic. I wonder why it called it quits!
Love those pinstripes and decals. Classic 90s look, that just fades away on most.
I just had a jeep cj7 built. Had the body of the jeep put onto a 1996 Toyota 4Runner 3.4 automatic 4x4 e-locker
I just acquired a new solid axle for my 87 4runner build. My second gen needs a new motor….gonna be a fun winter, thanks for the inspiration.
Boi Boi sure has a nose for deals !
Opening scene reminded me of hockey cards taped to bicycle- makin noise
Hate to hear we won't see anymore of the '85 but this new build looks awesome!
The 85 is still around. Actually filmed putting another 3.4 in it recently. It was sold to a buddy, so it's still in our circle
Love the shop space. Nice work fellas!
new bumper is from a second gen 4runner, sameone on my truck!
You nailed it.
@DirtGarage haha hell yeah man. Keep up the great content, gives us canadian wheelers something to aspire to.
I use a set of viper seats in my 98
Tacoma sr5 4x4
5 speed, i mounted them to a set of the stock seat mounts/sliders
Front bumper is off a 4 runner!!! Looks good I think a 98
What a rad build, well done!

Awesome guys great fun 😊
That black one is killa
Do you know which TG springs are on that truck (how much lift)? Are those TG front and rear?
Great video and truck!!
That black even as it sat when he got would fetch
5 - 6 k here in New England
Prices here are crazy
What front solid axle are you using for the 1st generation 2001 Tacoma
@dinobobo726 id use a 79-85 Toyota axle in that. Or landcruiser axles
Just saw it down town and was wondering who’s Toyota that was. I figured you had your fingers in it.
@2:10 what's a head block
No idea, I said "There is a hole in that block"

what are those mirrors off of?!?! anyone know?
They are stock mirrors. From a SR5
Beauty rig!
I’ve been looking for a Toyota and am shocked how much they go for.
Prices have quadrupled in last 2-3 years especially on the older stuff like the 80s early 90s
Prices on Low mileage 3rd gen 4runners have gone thru the roof
Your brother should throw that lunchbox in the front axle.
Damn he sold that 1st one , would of been awesome with a 1uz
1995 4Runner bumper is my best guess
Maybe we need a "how to make your leaf springs softer than an IFS" video
Remove bottom leafs from TG pack and good shocks 👍 Otherwise only real way to get IFS level comfort is links and coilovers. Haha
93-95 2nd gen 4runner front bumper
I wonder why it quite look at how hard he’s driving it rpms up there wheel just spinning 😅
Those graphics!!!
Damn those sr5 mirrors on the red pickup are worth 500$ in hawaii 🤣
Really? They are junk here 🤣 Less desirable mirror because they are easier to break.

The 22RE took it... until it didn't 🤘 The second one barely made it one wheeling trip before it died.
@@DirtGarage No worries man I get it. I also go wheeling in a 22re 88 4runner. Love your videos and the fun ya'll have.
@@DirtGaragetook it till it didn't 😂😂👍👍
Holy exhaust leak Batman
hope this time the engine last longer haha 😂
Hate to see you put an inspection hole in that 22RE block.....They are becoming pretty rare
Eh, there is lots of other options for engine swaps. 22RE really isn't that great
Some of us live under a tyrannical state and cant do engine swaps and need those 22R blocks.....please recycle them!!! LCE will buy them@@DirtGarage
lets goooo!
Bumper looks like it's off your wife's 4Runner
WE LS SWAPPED THIS TOYOTA! Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/72j8stOg7ao/v-deo.html
New bumper is from a 3rd gen 4Runner I think
💪💪
I mean, his rigs not lasting probably has nothing to do with his driving habits….
Only the 1st motor 🤣
