Jamie will always be King of the cooking shows/books/world. Shows these days still don’t compare. I always want to make everything he shares and boy do I! 90% of the recipes I cook are Jamie O! Keep on rockin Jamie. Lots of love. Xxx
it's decided, this will be my son's birthday cake next month :) it's not clementine season in this side of the planet (south), so i will be using peaches, thanks Jamie!
I used to watch a cooking shows when I was a teenager on food network Here I am 20 years later and you still teach the same. I'm so glad to see you in your passion and I must say I had a little crush on you🥵
Is this series available to watch or stream in the States? Does anyone know? 🇬🇧Expat here...LOVING these clips ♥️. That cake reminds me of one my mum used to make us in my childhood. Ahhhh memories 😉😋
And I thought the orangey stuff was caramelized egg yolks... My little ones absolutely despise mixing fruit with cereal (something that frustrates my mother since she grew up eating 'mandarine filled cornbread' and they can't stand it whenever she makes those).
I also hate fruit in chocolate cake. Give me a nice berry tart that's great but keep those acidic fruits out of my chocolate! So it's possible your kids will never change their taste in regards to this as I'm most definitely grown. However I am gonna keep the recipe for the sponge and the cream (without mandarin juice). Those look delicious
@@jordinner You have a fine height if you were living in Asia tho haha! But since I'm asian I'm a Lilliput compared to the women's there 🤣 but yes you're right I've a friend from Netherlands, she's 5'9/176 cm 😬
Inspiring and gorgeous work as always! I made the cake and it really is easy, but it tastes like butter and nothing else. :)) And a day after is firm and definitely not attractive. I am still thinking how to turn it into something else and save it. Keep on trying as they say! :) Thank you for teaching me how to be creative in the kitchen! All the best and cheers from Bulgaria!
While it's a quick method, to be honest I wouldn't recommend it. It'll completely cut through all the gluten from the flour and will cause your cake to become dry, hard and flat. It's so important to never ever overmix your batter when making a cake. You can even see that his cake is like a flat rock when it should be nicely risen and incredibly light and fluffy. You should definitely put in the extra few minutes to use a cake mixer.
You can use a bit of the cake mix in tiny dollapse on the tray to stop the paper moving instead of soaking it and making the cake soggy. Also is there anything you can make without fruit or veg in? Can see your kids don't like the fact that you put it in everything. The fact your partner had to remind the kids to eat the crap inside the cake pretty much says it all
While I'm sure the flavours are great, please please don't mix your cake in a processor. Every baker stresses that you should never overmix your batter, and this is exactly what you're doing. The processor completely cuts through all the gluten and you can see that his cake is a flat, hard rock, when it should be light, fluffy and well risen. Just put in the extra 5 minutes to mix it properly in a mixer and don't throw everything into a processor. If you really are cut for time you can put the incredients into a blender. Mix all the dry first in a bowl then put into the blender. Add the wet ingredients and blend for 10 seconds MAX. Then give it a gentle stir by hand to incorporate it all together and pour into your tin.
So its a great recipe but in what world is 20-25 minutes enough time to bake a cake. I've baked this twice now , the first time I took it out at 25mins and it was still liquid inside so I put it back in for another 20mins and then it was baked the second time I left it in for 40-45mins and it was OK. Basically 40mins minimum NOT 25
I made it anyway with Large eggs, 160 fan, 20x30 cms. tin. Too sweet and buttery for our taste, sorry Jamie, my only disappointment of all of your recipes ..been making cakes for decades.
Please never stop making these videos! Brings back my childhood 😁😁

Looks very nice, I might have a go at making it without the electric mixer as I don’t have household power as I live on a boat without power😊

Yum .. love watching Jamie. Is a food processor better than a cake mixer?
Food processor is lazy

Jamie Oliver...👌👍🙏
💯delicious
Oh man ❤ really delicious 👌👌
My grandmother loved canned mandarine oranges. I think I need to make this in her memory.
easy take on sachertorte ! gj
Koncer...I have a Belgian Malinois Shepherd. Gotta watch the dog hair floating when cooking.
ممم يبدو لديد 😋
Yummy
Does anyone know which food processor this is? I can't find it anywhere
💕💗🍓🍋🍊🍐🍍
Lovely lovely desserts snacks
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jamie I love this cake but it’s got too much butter for my diet. How can I substitute without losing flavor?
Try keeping the original sponge, but make whipped cream filling
👍👍
Gotta change those Mandarins for Cherries and then you're in Black Forest territory
When i die the last thing i wanna eat is choclate cake ❤️
I would like to hone the size of the tin. I guessed and the middle was not done at the same time as the outside. Pity.
А помните, 10 лет назад, Джейми был стройным и подтянутым? .... хотя кого я обманываю, я тоже....
Today, NDR Das! German TV 💯🍀
Aaaaaah
🎉❤
This look so delicious but damn, this is like 650g of sugar just from icing sugar in 1 cake.
👍😋😋😋
"we're gonna make a buttercream" *Makes cream cheese icing*
literally 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I baked it today, it’s waaaay too sweet, almost uneatable, next time I'll make half a batch of sugar or even less.
Chocklit
