What a great set up. Congratulations on a great build. I’m looking to do a similar kind of build or buy built if I can’t. I can just about drill a hole into a wall. How do I learn the framing, insulation stuff that you did. Super neat!! I won’t even bother with the electrical stuff. That I will pay someone to do 😂.
Cool trailer, funny that some people over on reddit were questioning the towing ability of your car, your BMW would be considered a decent size over here in the UK, many people tow caravans and car trailer's weighing much more with smaller cc engines. I will take a look at some of your vids as getting quite into my trackdays too. All the best!
1. I assume you plan to run the diesel heater at night? Assume you've tested that it's quiet enough for others around too then. That my main concern, I really want one as those nights at bogie at a little chilly later on, but don't want to bother others. What make/model did you get? 2. That AC idea is genius, imma use it. 3. That poor car. You might be better off renting a truck for the weekend. 4. Wish my trailer ramp could be made into a drop down like that. That's genius for the bed.
Yes, it it very quiet, I wouldn't hesitate to use it trackside in the pits overnight. The car is rated for 3700lbs and with the trailer fully loaded I am right around 2600lbs. It does a great job with it; 3L inline 6 turbo has more than enough torque. Also has oversized brakes, transmission cooler, large wheelbase and wheels/tires. It's very stable while towing!
hi,i really like that trailer with the single axel, can you tell me the name of the company thst built that traier please! i have a low towing capacity also
I like it, I’m installing insulation in my new 6x14 just pulled it home from Washington to California with my 5,000 pound ford flex 460 horsepower V6 engine, manufactured hitch with a 3,500 total weight rated hitch 250 pounds at the hitch… trailer 1,300 pounds had electric brakes installed by the dealer. Your trailer must be about 1,500 pounds, your car 3,500 pounds, not suitable for towing! Please reconsider your tow vehicle. With your motorcycle, guessing weight 2,200 pounds, hitch weight must not exceed 300 pounds. Be prepared for an emergency braking situation if your trailer starts swaying you will most likely not be able to to regain control! If you have brakes on your trailer, install brake controller it will help you to control trailer swaying. On a windy day, wind can blow over a 80,000 pound 18 wheeler. As I started my trip with a 12’ U-Haul trailer California I5 out of Sacramento the wind blew for 60 miles scared me that the wind might blow me off the road, I mean scared!!! I had driven my 18 wheeler on this road many times in the wind , believed me your BMW is not a tow vehicle. You can get by with it. Maybe 100,000 miles but there’s always traffic and weather. You never know when your going to have to brake in an emergency, it’s hell when your trailer try’s to pass you, Your BMW is the same color as my Mustang 4 million miles driving the roads of this country.
@@APhotographerTravels2025JohnMc thanks for the feedback. I actually modified the trailer a bit and now carry 2 bikes with it. Fully loaded I'm about 3200lbs now which is within the tow rating of the car. The car is about 3700lbs weight. I do have trailer brakes which are very effective. I've towed very regularly for the past few years and it's been flawless. Towed thru heavy winds, traffic, poor weather etc. It can be done with no problems, just have to drive to the conditions. It's a perfect vehicle for towing. Long wheelbase, wide track, low center of gravity, oversized sport brakes and cooling. Tows right around 2300rpm at 105km/h getting 18L/100kms. Very happy with it.
Nice Job.... I am in the process of converting an 8x16 v-nose cargo trailer into an RV and Mobile Sign Shop. I am just starting the walls and cabinets construction. I just sold a 15-passenger shuttle bus that I lived in for 3 years and traveled out west during the winters. I had to sell the shuttle bus because I purchased a large format color printer to make contour cut decals/stickers, koozies, t-shirts, magnetics, banners, mousepads, etc. The large format color printer would have taken up a lot of storage space so I needed to get something bigger. I did a complete conversion series on the shuttle bus from the ground up and now am doing a new series on the cargo trailer conversion. They are on my YT channel.
I'm impressed with your creativity in designing the bed surface to fold down from the ramp at 12:37.
That is by far the best setup bike trailer I’ve ever seen. Very nice work 👍
excellent work! love the batteries under. few questions, how does the roof ac drain? and the bike goes up the ramp fine?
Very well done, will definitely be stealing a few of your ideas!
Love your bed setup. Very good using what the trailer came with and keeping loads down. Great job!
Lots of good ideas and incredibly well thought out

Very sleek and functional build 👍👍
This is amazing!!!! I'm inspired to build my own!
Beautiful setup wish you were closer to NJ I need this setup on my new 7x16
How long did it take to put together and what's the damage? Looks good, great custom work, so jealous lol
Great video, nice build, and loved the descriptions!

Damn Dude, KILLED IT!!!

awesome video!
comedic note. what locks the plant in place?

Was this trailer just a raw plywood interior when you first bought it?
Not even. I asked to buy it without plywood since I was going to do it myself. Was just bare frame and aluminum siding
Using the facing of the door as the bed is pretty brilliant. Is this a 7x14?
fricken perfect instant sub.
This is exactly what I want
Help would love more info and help with the electrical system this is what I been looking for
What did you use for the ceiling/wall paneling?
The product that you used on the wall, I've been looking for something like that.
Loved the build man! Where did you get your screen door at?
Do you have a neat hiding spot for your 2x4 bed frame?
How did you attach the rolling tool box to the e track?
The way your bed comes down, are you able to leave your bike in the trailer while you sleep? Or do you have to take it out?
Yes, there is enough room. Just have to wheel the bike forward and put it on a stand.
What trailer is this?
Would be nice to see the back door opened up to see if the bed setup interferes when used as ramp
It does not in any way.
Whats the overall weight of the build? I might have misse that.
With everything loaded up for race weekend (Ie. bike, toolbox, generator, fuel, tire machine, gear etc.) I am about 2500lbs
how heavy is the load when you have everything in it. like if your going to a race
Ready to race (bike, toolbox, generator etc etc) I'm about 2600lbs
Really! and that's total right meaning trailer weight to? btw you're helping me make a decision lol@@seb42
Would that fit in a standard garage?
No; it's too tall
I am planning on doing something just like this for track weekends it’s perfect for that 👌
Awesome

I bet you go slow in the turns
Wouldn't wanna fall over! 😬
@@seb42 Lol just kidding. Nice trailer setup.
It’s only a single axle… No
That’s more than enough for the weight he’s hauling.
