- The 2007 season was one of the most successful, rewarding and memorable times in franchise history. The Giants stumbled to a 0-2 start before beginning a remarkable turnaround. They rallied to win that game, 14 of their next 18 and concluded the season with an exhilarating and unforgettable 17-14 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. It was one of the greatest upsets in the long history of the National Football League.

I’m so excited for 2008
As a packers fan that nfc title still hurts but atleast patriots lost
used the best playoff run in history as a pentagon recruiter ad? disgrace
That "New England 18-1' sign was amazing - still crazy this actually happened.
18 wins. 1 Giant loss was another sign that was good.
Not matter how long ago this happened, it’s still one of the greatest moments in NFL history!
IMO it’s in the top 2 in American sports history, only behind miracle on ice
Imagine a world where the pats were 19 and 0, I would have had to leave the planet. So as far as I am concerned Eli and the Giants saved the world.
I still to this day love the fact they ruined cry babies Brady and Belicheks perfect season .
Boy that Ahmed Bradshaw and Brandon Jacob's combo was one of the best to ever do it. This brings back great memories man
I still always get goosebumps on that final drive. No matter what i will always be greatful and proudto be a giants fan.
Amen
“Manning lobs it, Burress alone, touchdown New York!”
It was one of the last Super Bowls I got to watch with my late father. When I hear those words or see the play, I still cry like a baby almost 15 years later. From the craziest, but greatest Throw in Super Bowl history, to Plax wide open in the end zone. What an amazing yet Giant win!!!
@@johnsmolka3838 Sorry for your loss. What you experienced with your late father is certainly a life lasting memory. Sports are truly capable of bringing a man’s emotions to the surface 😎. Go Big Blue!
That’s the best sentence I’ve ever heard in my Giants life 😂👍🏿
Still sends chills up my spine
That will live forever!
Although times are tough right now, my love for this team will never die. Big Blue ❤️
Same here
not nomore we back babyy we backkk!!!!
we up baby!!!!!!
*6-1* Can we get much higherr?
@@lordvader706 ill come back to this comment next week when we're 7-1
Glory days. I got goosebumps throughout the story
This season is what cemented me as a Big Blue fan for life. I was in 4th grade when this game happened, and it taught me that no matter how tough, how great, or how perfect someone or something can be, they can be overcome. That nothing is impossible. And even when the world tells you, “you can’t do it” hard work, resilience, and determination, will always get you to the end!
Big Blue!!
The year 2007 feels like minutes ago to me, but it was a decade and a half ago already. Time really is cruel how it flies by. Cheers for this year, Giants.
Not easy emotional but the ending of sb 42 always gotta tear up. Thank you Eli
18 wins...1 GIANT Loss!
Should have been 2... The G-Men got robbed in the final game against NE.
One of my favorite childhood memories as a 10 year old kid from Brooklyn, I wanted my mom to take me to the Super Bowl parade but I had to go to school lol, we were all talking about the Super Bowl at school, even disregarding being a Giants fan, this was everything I love about sports, this was really like a sports movie irl, they were underdogs the whole season and were doubted by everybody yet they beat a seemingly unbeatable team to win a championship with imo the greatest play in NFL history, David Tyree was an average NFL player who should have been forgotten by any non-Giants fan but he immortalized himself with the greatest catch ever after Eli made one of the greatest escapes ever, that play is my laptop background.
How can anything top this? The mighty undefeated patriots. The scramble from Eli. The helmet catch. The burress td wide open. That last drive was magical.
I grew up in Weehawken NJ, across Midtown Manhattan.. I was about 13 years old during this Super Bowl, my brother and I went to our room to watch the game. He was on three-way phone call with his friends on his cell and I was one a three-way call with my friends, and I was on MySpace and AIM with my friends, on a chatroom. So 2008. I vividly remember watching the Tyree Catch live.. we were in shock, that something like that happened. ALL of us, our friends, family, everybody. I remember people celebrating that night on our main street in NJ, partying like crazy, honking their cars! Those were exciting days
18, 1 and done...the best SB win evah for the Giants...
This Giants team was so STACKED. The second half of the season was one of the best I've ever seen. Offense and defense running on all cylinders.
We should’ve won at least won more, especially after SB46
I lived in Boston that year and I watched a grown man cry (pats fan)on the train home and I was smiling from ear to ear best night ever I was watching the score on my phone unfortunately!! I’ll never forget that moment and never for get how much I wanted the pats to lose!! What an amazing season!!
I lived on Cape Cod and I was so happy we won that game. I predicted that the Giants would meet them in the Superbowl after the final game of the regular season and everyone laugh at me lol😂😂😂
After 9 yrs of failure I still can't be mad at them for what they did in 07 and 12
WE BACK
Had to come watch because this team this year are giving me the same vibes
“The road warriors” the best way to describe this team ❤
Loved how Frank Gifford would always narrate the team yearbook videos! What a year!
Patriots fan here. This playoff run is beyond incredible. Eli Manning has my respect
No better storybook ending than Plax and Eli's connection. Still gives me chills.
The 2007 Giants are very inspiring story. It's not about how you start it's about how you end.
I was 14 years old and in 8th grade when I witnessed this. I’m 29 now about to turn 30, and this season; these memories, still feel like they happened just yesterday. It’s some of the best memories I’ll ever have.
Probably my proudest season as a Giants fan. Love seein' Brady get smashed! Wish they would've shown the Pats last possession cuz Alford bout split Brady in two.
Watching that superbowl I knew they were going to win the way they were pounding Brady. Reminded of 91 when the defense pounded the bills wrs play after play.
He took his soul to the shadow realm
@@zaboss123456789 BAHAHHAHA HE SURE DID
This season of the Ny Giants still gives me goosebumps. I was only 14 at the time now im about to be 30 and its still one of my favorite seasons of NFL football.
I’m trying to tell y’all the greatest on the road to the super bowl ever. This NFL doesn’t exist anymore with those hits on the QB.
everyone of these videos is great but as someone else says this one does give you goosebumps.this is why we watch football ,it's not about worrying about stats or who's takin a knee,or makin predictions in April ,or who they should've drafted. It's a a tough game played by tough guys and the team that wants it more usually wins.this was demonstrated here and why the Giants will be fine in 2020,its not gonna be about schemes and gurus as judge said"we are gonna punch you in the mouth for 60 minutes"
Looking back, Jacobs & Bradshaw were a CRAZY good duo in the backfield👌🎯😳
No way this pops back up in my feed this season for no reason. Not this year, but… feels good
From Conerly to Jones i was born in 1954 i am 69 years young GOOD TIMES OR BAD WIN LOSE OR DRAW I WILL FOREVER LOVE MY NEW YORK GIANTS !!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
This was the greatest playoff run of all time. It's easy to forget that the Giants had to take down three teams before the Pats. All of them were away games. The last two were against the Cowboys and Packers (respectively), both of whom were 13-3, which tied them for second best record along with the Colts. They were also ranked third and forth in margin of victory, respectively.
The Giants didn't slay kings in that playoff. They slayed gods. Three of them, as a matter of fact.
Greatest run to a championship those playoffs games and superbowl is some of my greatest moments of my life
I love how the Giants went through this season. I love the team. The Giants are all about big Dee when at their best. Fabulous story.
Gives me the chills every. Single. Time.
This is truly one of most amazing stories not just wintin NFL but in all sports. The giants were underdogs all the playoff games they played all away , and heavy underdog in Superbowl facing an undefeated patriots.
I just turned 26 years old. I wasn’t in to sports back in 2007, the younger version of myself cared more about wrestling lol. I got into football in 2009, and I picked the giants because I lived in New Jersey at the time and I didn’t like the eagles lol. Ever since that season my love for this team continues to grow and I hate to say it but the miracle at the meadowlands pain in my heart stamped it home that this is the team I will root for my entire life win lose or draw. It’s been harder post 2012 but I would t trade this team for ANY other. LETSGOGIANTS💙
Mannnn..this one kinda shook me up....#G men #good ole days
You can see the emotion on Osi’s face when Strathan tells him “you are better than me” .
The greatest Super Bowl ever played. Giants Nation for life!
Still get chills watching this
I still gets tears
Crazy .. I’m from Dallas tx but been a giants fan since my father is from jersey .. I remember this game like it was yesterday man
Best video I’ve watched 😂🔥
Still our biggest moment!
Aaron Ross, Steve Smith, Jay Alford, Zak Deossie, Kevin Boss, Ahmad Bradshaw. The Giants draft that year was absolutely wild.
i love the giants
These road warriors will be back soon, 11 wins on the road unreal, and we brought it back home that year 💯🔥 the giants organization truly deserved that Super Bowl 💪🏽
It so funny how Eli just could not throw a spiral to save his life. When they asked him about the Plexico TD pass in the SB and what he was thinking while the ball was in the air he said the thing he remembered was that "he was amazed that is was a spiral" lol
Oh how I miss these days
This brought tears to my eyes. I remember being a 5 year old kid you got to see a bunch of men I'd never meet become my heros. go big blue
I will never forget that win as loing as ilive! I remember having a SB party and the whole neighborhood was screaming when Eli hit Plax!!!! We beat the mighty Patriots! 18 & 1
I was at that week 14 game in Philadelphia. I sat about ten rows from where Buress caught the touchdown. I was also at the regular season finale. I still remember when I spoke with said "see you in the Super Bowl".
Those were the days
For wild card champs
Miss good old day ny giants 😢😢😢😢😢
This was a close gritty team . Seeing what the did brings back such great emotion and memories. Really good stuff.🎉
And till this day i still cry watching it big blue on 3 one two three big blue
I can watch this everyday....Such a Devine season. Made me a Giants fan for life
That Game vs. Green Bay Packers in that Frozen Condition was just euphoric, had to win in overtime Lawrence Tynes kicks a Frozen Turkey for the Win in Lambeau field ... The Super Bowl honestly speechless what balls and courage
I remember this season like it was yesterday. I cried like a baby when we beat the pats. Then we did it again 4 years later. Ah what a joyous time.
Strahan always had the best pregame hype speeches IMO.
Man do I ever wish as a Dolphins fan that one day I can watch one of these for Miami… unfortunately I’ve only witnessed one playoff win as a Dolphins fan.. 😢
Hey bro (Giants fan here)...It will come more sooner than you think! That was a TOUGH LOSS to the Bills the other day. But never forget that you guys still have the (one and only) PERFECT SEASON (thanks to the GMEN 😉) Keep being a loyal fan bro! It will be worth the wait.
The linebackers were a beast
NEXT SEASON WIL BE OURS!
My fav thing about this is that they won the same mouth and year I was born
Goosebumps, great video.
And to an old Giants fan it was special and with tears in my eyes and my emotions are like the old Giants defensive coordinator Tom Landry and the Giants playoff win against the Packers to makeup in my mind the 1961 Championship Game defeat 37-0 by their former offensive coordinator Vince Lombardi but to me it was really special was the narration by Giants great Frank Gifford it doesn't get any better than that
my annual tradition is to watch all NYG championshipvideos on the off week...good times
Same here lol and im a packers fan i watch my team and all the other ones in the league and the super bowl nfl films greatest games also they got one from the nfc title on here
NY 🏈 GIANTS 🔵🔴 4 LIFE
If you weren’t a giant fan. You just didn’t believe. Super Bowl 42 the day I found out what were tears 😭 of joy.
A lovely win for the Giants and especially for Eli with all the criticism of him
I remember this season like it was yesterday. This playoff run and especially this Super Bowl victory will never get old! It reminds me of their first 2 Super Bowl Wins... against the Bengals and the Bills, however, this one was a real treat they beat NE and Brady who were 18-0 coming in and were favored by all the critics, media, etc... I wonder how many people lost their shirts out in Vegas that year!
Super Bowl 42 is the true answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
To infinity and beyond!!! I am a giant forever!!!
2022 Giants also 6-2! Something 07 Giants had.
The americas game season recap with eli coughlin and strahan commentary is amazing
Thank God for replays...
Best day of my life
Damn this brought back memories
the good old days
Don't think I ever became overcome w emotion when the Giants lost, but did so this game in which they won. There is other footage of Plaxico breaking down, Eli ready to break down, and Tom Coughlin fighting back his emotions as well.
As a Cowboys fan, this is the greatest postseason run by any team in NFL history IMO:
Beat the 9-7 Bucs on the road
Beat the 13-3 Cowboys on the road
Beat the 13-3 Packers on the road
Beat the 18-0 Patriots in the SB
I’ve just come here to imagine what could happen to us this season 2022
I hope so
I was sitting in the end zone where Plax caught that game winner. It cost me a few months' rent for the tickets but it was worth every penny.
I’m getting the same vibes from these 2023 Rams as I did for these Giants…same with the 2011 squad
This was a fun team to watch.. amazing season
18:53 chills.
BELIEVE
LET’S GO BIG BLUE!!!
Talk about Team effort they played as one to reach a final goal.
Go Big Blue!!!!
That head nod from Brady always hit different when I watch the giants 2007 run. Steelers fan here but love watching the giants in the early 2000s when we didn’t go to the Super Bowl.
I still get chills.
19:28 The moment, the importance of this play to the outcome of the game, the difficulty of Eli escaping what seemed like a sure sack, then scrambling back and unleashing a high wobbly spiral that Tyree had to leap in order to catch it against his helmet with a defender all over him and with the presence of mind not to let the ball hit the ground makes that catch THE BEST CATCH IN SUPERBOWL HISTORY.
We're going to get those days back
Plaxico on the post was money money every time
I remember telling everyone that we’re gonna win that Super Bowl, everyone laughed at me, once we won that game, no one was laughing. I knew we were gonna go all the way after we played NE the final game of the season
Tell them this Christine, my quarterback Eli Manning "beat the best at their best, in there home stadium". He deserve to be the in the Hall of Fame.
I still have goosebumps all over my body when I see this replay after so many years. The best way to smash the perfect season of the perfect team .... :D
I'm no Giants fan, but I was watching when Eli escaped those 4 Patriots, lobbed it and Tyree snagged that awesome helmet catch. That was all kinds of fireworks!
