You know what, dolls creep me out. They always have and probably always will. But your videos are so amazing... so fascinating - it just doesn't matter. Can't stop watching. This is pure beauty. THIS is art.
this is sooo helpful! i have a doll that is in dire need of a faceup and i've been trying to figure out how to do it without a lot of paints! watercolor pencils i can handle!
I find the face up really amazing and find you so talented in your artwork it's just that I had to stop the video because the doll started to freak me out
I'm thinking about getting a BJD, so I'm looking around everywhere for anything that could help me. This is sooo good, I hope to be as good as you someday!
Perhaps you put too much pressure? As long as you are using high quality materials that have lots of pigment, it should not require you to press much when using them. Sorry, I cannot think of any other reason for your problem at the moment.
Ah, thank you for the reply! I was wondering how to avoid leaving little chunks of pencil on the faceup! I was using derwent watercolor pencils and they seem to leave debris
I do not know, I somehow never get smudges with my gloves. Maybe it is the fact that I wash them all the time or maybe how I make sure to keep my fingers away from the face as much as possible.
i sketch and sing as well as other cafts. sadly i dpnt have any dolls to my name. the last dolls i had were when i was little. so yeah. but your vidoes have given me more idea for future characters of mine. thank you so much fpr replying to my comment. 😄
Does the makeup ever come off if u touch it with ur hands? or does it stick on the dolls face? lol sorry if just looks like it. And do you take requests and sell these dolls online? thanks :)
What did you use for the eyebrows? I use pastels and watercolor pencils but they are never that dark, also my pencils don't give a 'vibrant' color or are smooth, any suggestions? Intake sure to keep them sharpened
It might depend on the brand of pencil you use. Cheaper pencils will usually not be as dark or as vibrant, and the lines might come out more grainy. If you give your doll(s) a new faceup frequently and you want it to look nice, it's worth it to buy more expensive and highquality pencils. :)
You could also use the airbrush to change the color of the entire doll if you want to paint it a new color instead of the ones that it originally has, correct?
I don't know if you've talked about this before, but where do you buy your heads? I want to save up and get a head I can use to make a doll of Dead from the band Mayhem but I've looked around and can't find anywhere to buy just a blank head :/
If you want to learn, then I suggest buying just a head to start~ Because, honestly, what's so expensive is the body~ So, just grab a BJD head from ebay or the likes and use it to practice~ =) Then, you can save money and eventually buy the body~ =) Hope it helps~
Would you mind doing a video that focused on how to use an air brush? For years I've been considering one for BJD faceups but I'm not sure of how to use one or what kind to get.
I cannot tell if this is a he or she, but it still looks amazing. If you were going for a he try less lashes. If you were going for a she try less sharper lines or shading or mold of doll
Well. your hands have oil so if you use your hands on the dolls face alot it can delude the faceup and if you lets say put your finger on the dolls faceup and rubbed it around hard it would probably smug it. you really don't touch the dolls face. because you don't want to smug it or chip the faceup.
Thank you! :) Chrom is one of my favorite Soom sculpts too, he is so handsome.

How do you not get smudges on the face from the gloves? Whenever I use gloves, I always end up smudging :/ Please help!
