This is one of my absolute favorite sandwiched to make at work or at home
Its very simple and cheap
Not really a recipe for this but ill post the ingredients that i use on mine

This man is my kind of chef. Tired of those huge slices of onion and tomato that end up raw, mess up the taste of the burger, and fall out/get pushed out/or flop out in your face when you take a bite. I hear you! It's all about the eating experience! I don't want to be mad at my food! People trying to get too fancy with their simple meals.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s this was a common sight on diner menus. So so good!

Aioli sauce on patty melt... sounds interesting...have to try that (once I learn how to make aioli sauce). 😀
@@bevbry7590 kraft makes a GREAT aioli, but it's simply roasting 5 garlic cloves, 2 tsp fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of your favorite brand of mayo the quickest simple way adding a dash of black pepper or cayenne if you like a little more spice

I didn't know patty melts were soul food. My mom made them on Rye with swiss cheese. Yum!

Good morning Chef, the burgers 🍔 looks so delicious, enjoy your day.
When I was growin' up, we didn't have buns for our burgers. All we had was sliced bread. Later, as we grew up we started to refer to a burger made with sliced bread as a 'momma burger'. Still refer to it this way now...some 30 years later. Still love to do a burger this way today. Reminds me of where I came from.

Beefsteak Rye is great bread. I fell head over heels for my boyfriend back in Jr High. He worked at an International House Of Pancakes, and he'd make me those great pattymelts ❣️ I never could make one to taste as good. Years after and long story short, we married and he's the father of our son. No wonder my son is a great cook too! 🥰

Looks pretty good! If you slow simmer those patties after browning, with some rich beef gray so it turns into a Salisbury steak it makes the greatest patty melt you will ever have.
Those were some huge burgers. Love a good patty melt.

I like sliced onions they don't fall off, I also like a nice thick slice of onion, a little pickle, frenchs yellow and some cheese.
I agree with you about the onion and the tomato. I can halfway deal with a hunk of tomato because I love them but I hate hunks of onion - slice it thin or chop it up

One of my favorite burgers too. I've always had rye bread on my patty melts too, but I like mustard instead of mayo. Man, these look good. Now I've got to go out and buy some rye bread so I can make one :)

Looks good Chef Jeffery! I could eat it with cheddar cheese and Miracle Whip. Everyone has their preference. But, if I'm making my own...I like my beef well done. No blood. Still juicy not dry (they become choke sandwiches when they're cooked too long). Toasted Light rye, thousand island dressing (on my Patty melts and Ruebens) Baby Swiss cheese, grilled thinly sliced Vidalia onions. Stacked and delicious!! Baaby Fiya🔥 !!!💥💫 Thanks again. i like miracle whip, too, on some things (i'm old...68yrs!) homemade pimento cheese (sharp) is excellent with miracle whip. also good on a cheeseburger if need be.
