I always change my filters once a year anyway. I actually kind of enjoy doing service on my boiler because I've learned alot from watching Steve's videos.

Zoeller pumps are ok, the problem is the micro switch, they will not carry the current needed when the points in the switch age. Zoeller denies that there is an issue.

Positive attitude Steve, that's what you got. One of my biggest fears is the tridacator snapping off and then having to spend another hour getting it out without doing damage BB to the boiler, nice work Steve👍

Except for some customer inconvenience, the biofuel looks like a win-win-win. More work for hvac guys, a bit less money going to oil countries, and reduced waste oil to dispose of.

That's the same becket burner my new NYT BOILER came with. Direct vent out side wall. It was a pain in the ass the electronic controller had an out side temp sencer hooked to it. The dam thing filled the whole heat chamber plugged solider with rock hard soot. It was always going way out of setting ie. Air flow. Co2 carbon readings .. with in 2.5 years the fire box blow out. I contacted NYT an they shipped me a whole new boiler but with a relo burner direct vent. It been good for 3 years but I change the nozzle from the factory 1.00/60 to a 85/60. For one the 1.00 burns one gallon of feul per hour witch for my small place was way to much BTU'S and was firing was to short . Only thing I dont like about the burner is the heavy sqare aluminum cover that covers over the burner an allows it to pull air from out side. The 4 machine screws one on each corner have stripped the threads out of the burner frame. An you cant get a nut on the back side. An the 4 screws done come out of the cover to tap to next size bigger screw witch I think would just strip out again. Very poor aluminum grade. So every time I have to open it I have to put lock tight. The air sucksion keeps it on tight when unit running. I still have the old becket burner an boiler in my junk pile. As for the glycol you ether have to buy it direct in 45 gallon ❤ corrosion added. Or if you buy it from box stores in 5 gallon pails you have to buy an add the anti corrosion additive. I order a pellet of 4 barrels at a time direct for all my out door wood/coal hot water heaters. Many call them an out door boiler but there nothing on them that class as a boiler. There an open system no presser. An many that install them self put a cheap pump in the house that has to run 24/7 and they cant figger out way they system always air locked an having to replace the pump all the time. The pump must be installed out at the unit as they dont suck they need back presser an you need to run the taco pump that made to run 24/7 and the motor is replaceable. .

That was supposed to be Becketts "Idiot Proof Burner", but it ended up being a finicky P.O.S. Knock on wood I haven't run into one for at least 8 years. They were right up there with Weil McLains Q Burner Disaster. Personally I would have gone back in with a 85/60B and leave a sleeping dog lay. I think you change those nozzles with a nozzle wrench. The socket within a socket type, but whatever gets it done. Best of Luck....................and hopefully you don't see another one soon!!
