Yes, California has a serious homeless problem. I feel many can be from other states. Why, because the weather allows the homeless to be able to deal with the weather. Those tents would not work out very well, in New City, and other states where the winters can be extremely cold. But what are Americans supposed to do? The rents, not only in California, but all across the United States are outrageously expensive. Regarding purchasing a house, many people can't afford most homes in 2024, especially at 7.5% mortgage rate. So, I ask again, what are many people supposed to do?

We live in a capitalist country... However there is a government to create a balance which is democracy. This keeps a balance from the capitalists totally taking everything and leaving people without nothing there has to be something left over so the government is supposed to create a balance in that capitalism... So with that being said people who are in poverty and without have no capital or any gains that are below poverty level . However a citizen has the right to life and Liberty. All homeless citizens have the right to have access to water to have access to food should they not have the capital ,the right to housing and the right to showering for proper hygiene is detrimental to one's health and therefore life, so because we are a capitalist country it is the government's responsibility to provide these things for the poverty class with no questions asked it should be afforded to those under constitutional rights to life because we are a bordered country in a capitalist society it is the government's responsibility to create a balance and afford homeless people a home, not a mansion, a home somewhere to sleep somewhere shower somewhere to be safe from the elements that's a constitutional right because in a capitalist society one can corner the market. That is why the government was created to keep that balance. I can see a class action lawsuit happening. Governor newsom can set a precedent. If he is the first to nip this homelessness in the bud. It actually is a direct violation of a constitutional right of a citizen. who cannot afford a home or food or water. It's our basic citizen necessity ,human necessity for that matter! not riches Not capitals. Indeed our homeless citizens are being treated inhuman and the constitutional right to life is being violated. At the end of the day Uncle Sam's knocking on the door for those taxes no citizen no matter who they are should be in the streets. We have people working sleeping in their cars because they can't afford a house or a home but yet they're still paying taxes we have families working sleeping in their cars paying taxes single parents getting pushed out because they can't afford to work pay rent and babysitters sleeping in the cars. Are the governments just allowing capitalism to price people out of rentals homes where's the balance, direct violation of constitutional rights. And the government wants to continue to play with these nonprofits who don't have the capacity to handle this. If you ask me they're lining their pockets a little bit too much.

Phil Steinberg has done nothing, my friend lives in the Broadway corridor right near the tower theater and has had major issues with the homeless camping across the street from his home with all their garbage increasing the rat population and crapping in his clean nice yard.
