I just finished printing this off and I love it, but the tolerance where the two pieces slide together is a little tight. I printed using pla at 210c with tree supports and a layer hight of .2mm. After sanding, it slid on a bit easier, but still got stuck. The second print I used the same settings, but I increased the gap for the v-groove by 0.1mm, and after sanding it slid on smoothly with no slack. I used the Kobra 3 to make this print.
My Kobra 3 arrived today, my first FDM printer, I had no idea that it "slung its poop" till I walked in after running a test print with multiple colours and finding them all over my floor. This will be a great addition, thank you.
Just a big Thank You! I just completed the printing and installation of your poop catcher design. It fits and functions perfectly! Excellent👏 Thank you so much for sharing!
This is perfect. I'm still waiting for my Kobra 3 to ship, but i've been printing a few things in preparation for it to arrive so i can have it all set up as soon as it gets here, this was one thing i knew i wanted for mine but hadn't seen it anywhere else yet.
Just got the Kobra 3/ACE Pro combo; You saved my life! I didn't know it spit filament like this, and it flew onto my Creality active dryer! Thankfully it didn't burn anything haha! Thank you!
Thanks for this creative and cool download I just downloaded it and I’ll probably add it to my printer after I print all the stuff I need in a few days
Why does my poop slinger shoot the wrong way? The spring starts on the closed position, and then it fires it across the entire build plate. But this chute catcher is if it's firing the other way. What gives?
I have the same problem, and i figured out it is the problem of the failure in triggering the magnet when the printer head approach. I then add a spacer in between the magnet at the side so to shorten the gap between the magnets, and it workers😊
Thank you for making this video I am. going to be receiving my anycubic Kobra 3 in the mail anytime soon and I'm glad that somebody made a poop catcher. Thank. Thank you for your time making this.
I'm gonna use this, but modify the catch basket to just be a chute. I have a trash can dedicated to just filament scrap right next to the table with my printer, so it can safely home and will just be leaned off the edge. It'll be like a garbage chute on a construction site headed into a dumpster! Thanks for your work designing the mount!
Just got my kobra 3 combo tuesday and got the flexi shark test print started and laughed when I saw the flying poops. Definitely gonna print your mod to catch the poop soon. 😂
hI THERE do you know anything about the Kobra 2 Max. My extruder is pressing into the bed plate. How would I fix this. I am baffled by this problem. thank you. Kal
@AnthonyScott_Little_Black_Duck Yeah, that's why I always say in my review videos that 3d printer company should include a roll or 0.5kg of filament for each 3d printer they sell, so we can use it when getting the machine.
Thanks, yes the STL file is in Makeronline. I also just added the print profile for the bin. Here: www.makeronline.com/en/model/Anycubic%20Kobra%203%20Filament%20Poop%20Catcher%20Bin/15281.html
This is awesome thank you! Im going to modify mine a bit to be able to add my camera to your bracket too since I want it facing away from the rest of my workspace.
Hey, how long did it take you to print each piece on the kobra 3? im using the configuration from anycubic to kobra 3 in orcaslicer but i feel that is a bit slow
It took about 1 hour to print the Kobra 3 attachment, but with colored logo, it took about 3 hours. For the large bin, about 4 hours. I use Anycubic Slicer. It has silimar time, maybe about 10 minutes difference, it also depend on the settings.
Like your vids S3DP, I printed the poop catcher and fitted it. I might suggest that the wall the poop shoots to be a little bigger? it wasn’t quite tall or wide enough and it gathered the poop in a stuck pile then it just spread over the floor. Otherwise it is a great addition. Thank you
@@Scratch3DPrinting your poop bin is really solid before I found yours I used another that almost broke my printer head it snapped the front cover off and got caught on the poop shooter and almost broke that off too.
For your next project you may want to first design the original object your product is going to attach to. You already have taken all the measurements, with your 3D design skills, it won't be too long to have a rudimentary model of the host object. This would shave off 2 or 3 of your first prototypes.
Hey there this is a super solution. I would pay for this. I have the Kobra3 in a FNATGR Box, so so the big basklet is to big the small to small.... Could you do one one 2cm bigger in width and length as the smal one? And realy take some money for this it is worth it. Best Markus
Thanks, I would like to keep it free so that everyone can download and print it whenever they wanted. If you want to support me then joining my Pateron or buying my merch would greatly be appreciated.
If I get what you're saying, is to cut a hole in the 3d printed box and put a box under the 3d printed box right? It would be difficult to get the perfect sizes box so that the attach 3d printed box does not smash into the box under it.

Yeah, this machine needs something like this so that filaments is not all over the place.
Just got the Kobra 3/ACE Pro combo; You saved my life! I didn't know it spit filament like this, and it flew onto my Creality active dryer! Thankfully it didn't burn anything haha! Thank you!
Lol, yeah it SLING the filament into a different universe. I'm glad this model helped you.
This is amazing and very well designed great job my bro. 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much 😀

No problem, it's a need for the Kobra 3 with all the poop getting sling everywhere.

Tried to print the "basket" . Keeps giving me an error message "The X - axis file exceeds the Device move out of range. Helo please?

Sorry I don't have the Kobra 2 Max. It could be that the sensor for touching the bed is not working properly.
Just got one of those Cobra 3 printers and this will be very handy. Thanks!
I hope you enjoyed it.
@@Scratch3DPrinting I'd forgotten to get filament when I ordered the printer so I am waiting for that to arrive.

I am looking for a camera holder for the Kobra 3 do you know or have one looking for stl for it. thanks.
I currently don't have the camera, but will soon and when I do I'll make another video and have the stl files in it.
I cant see the basket model, I can print only one part. Where can i get the basket model?
There should be a tab called "Raw Model Files (5)" it contains all the files, included the basket files.
Nice video and a awesome job on the design! Would you happen to have a file to print the basket.

Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this! Will get this printed right after benchy! You Rock!
Haha, becnchy is always first. Thanks.
“If you have a Kobra 3 you would definitely know that” 😂😂😂😂 I can verify that because I know I have one cause I just bought one so that’s true.
😂😂😂😂
Hello anycubic give me an error when I try print the básquet. The firts attachment its perfect
Hi, are you using the .m3f file when download? If that's giving you problem then try using the STL file.
Thank you soo much. I have it 😊
This is awesome thank you! Im going to modify mine a bit to be able to add my camera to your bracket too since I want it facing away from the rest of my workspace.
Thanks, yes go ahead and modify if to make it even better, I want to see what else could be done to it. Let me know how it turn out.
Did you ever do this? I would love to see how it turned out, and possibly use it.
Is there any way to reduce the amount of poop produced when changing colors?
I think there is a way, if we can get access to the g-code then it's possible to change the amount of filaments poops.
love the new poop catcher thanks to the files. any chance you can tell me or share with me where you got the I SLING POOP sign. Thanks again
Thanks, that sign I made it myself. I'll put it on makeronline if you are interested.
Look forward to trying this mod. Thanks my dude
Thanks. Hope you enjoy it! Oh by the way, I made a bigger bin for it.

I'm not able to find the basket to download. Has it been removed???
No, the basket is in the second tab called "Raw Model Files (5)" next to the "Print Profile Files (2)". Let me know if you still cannot find it.
@@Scratch3DPrinting thank you. I have it now.
Awesome catcher design. I was curious if the catcher was little bigger would it affect the printer any?
No, it would not. Just don't make it any longer towards the bottom and towards the print head. (If that makes sense)
GREAT JOB ! THANK YOU !
My pleasure!
Nice. Is there a file for the basket to download?

Thank you for making this!!! Poop shooter driving me nuts.
Thanks, glad liked it
How did you learn how to design things so good. And how to use fusion360 did you go to school for this or self taught?
Thanks. This is all self-taught, trial and error. Learning the basics from watching UA-cam videos and the rest is just doing it fusion360

This model is great but I don't have anycubic kobra 3 3d printer is kind expensive is about a k1 3d printer.😅
Thanks, yeah the Kobra 3 is a bit on the higher end, but it is a good 3d printer.
nice but maybe make the bin a bit deeper??
There's only about 5-10mm clearance from the bin hitting the table. I can make it taller but not much lower.
