Thank you for sharing this video about the problem you have been experiencing with clogging, and how you managed to recover. I'm sure it will help Qidi users. As some people have already commented, clogging can happen from higher than tolerable temperatures warping filament travel through the extruder path. Another reason for clogging I've picked up from other UA-cam videos is that removing filament be reversing it out can leave fragments/residue of filament in the extruder 'channel', which can act like plaque in your arteries. Small deposits can build up leading to clogging problems. Although it seems like a pain in the 'backside' to remove or purge your filament by cutting it first and pushing it out through the nozzle, it seems like the best way to avoid clogging. You have to accept the fact that the extruder 'channel' or path is one-way only; in from the top (cold end) and out the nozzle (hot end). Personally I think this is an acceptable practice if it avoids or minimises clogging.

which slicer did you use to calibrate the bed?

I wish i could get a first layer like this. My X gantry is off by 2mm on the right side. Can i suggest a video showing how to level the gantry properly? Anycubic's wiki is not helpful at all. 😢

hmm, I have never level the gantry before. It could be some loose bolts and belts. You can try to adjust those and move the right side of the gantry until it levels. Good luck.

On my K1 Max, I replaced the probe, and now I no longer have to clean the nozzle-simple as that. Plus, it significantly improved the mesh measurement since Creality’s stock system is garbage.

That's good to hear. Also what do you mean by replacing the probe?

@@Scratch3DPrintingI’m no longer using Creality’s original mesh leveling system-I replaced it with a 3D Touch and achieved a 0.150 range on the mesh. Plus, I don’t have to worry about the nozzle being clean anymore since the probe handles the sensing instead of the nozzle. The key is to properly adjust the Z offset and do the Axis Tilt Compensation. After that, you’ll get much better results, and the printing starts faster since it no longer does the cleaning and extra movements from the original setup

@GerardoNQ ohh, that is interesting. If mine ever gets bad, I'll try doing it like that.

A good reason to move from the bambu slicer to Orca. I wonder why they didn't offer a solution that bridges the bore and then connects to the bridges in the other direction. Maybe it could have removed the need for a sacrificial layer entirely.

That could be a good idea. If you want you can suggest that in Orcasclier Github, and they will look into it.
