A really cool feature you guys missed was that you can go to the PS store on a computer and buy a wider variety of psp games for the Vita, take for example Fate/Zero for the psp, it's not on the digital PS store for the Vita, but if you go buy it on a pc, you can download it from your vita's download list and it works great

Looking in the ps store on my new ps vita slim I found my favorite rpg, ff8, for $10. But it says "psp" so I didn't buy it. But would I be able to play it on my new ps vita slim?
Here's an addition to number 2, if you want to play on your account and have your saved data enter the game using the ps vita, when the game title shows up press x using the PS4 controller (which is signed into a different account( and vuala you broke the system and can use the ps vita as just a screen, this works for a few games
aside from the other tips, I am glad that PSP one is there... and I also wish I could get a couple of my favorite PSP games on the vita... so that tip I am DEFINETLY saving!!!

Why don't you just stick with your old account then? Homebrewing and stealing games isn't cool dude. And they can console and IP ban you and you'll be fucked.
I love my Vita. However, I do use my PSP to play PSP games. I like to try to get the most authentic experience possible when playing older games and if I have the original hardware I'll just use that, as clunky as it may be, because that's the only way to get a 100% authentic experience. Also, Vita memory sucks and I have to look into getting more of it, which is going to cost me. I have excess space on at least a couple of my Pro Duos so there's really no reason for me to use up precious Vita space on PSP titles. In the unlikely chance that I do decide to play a PSP game on the Vita though, those are some cool tips to consider. The visual upgrades sound neat and I'm assuming you're essentially mapping the L/R buttons (at least one of which is used for camera control on PSP games) to the second analog stick.
Just wanted to say thanks, I just got a vita a few months ago and never really used it till now, I've been busy on ps3, xbox one and now ps4, This little unit kicks ass, but the proprietary memory sucks. I can't bitch though I picked it up for one hundred dollars with the hard case and AC III Liberation, COD Black ops, MLB14 the show and The walking dead the complete first season. I have seen people doing soft mods on the vita's, I wont because I'm afraid of messing it up. what do you think of soft mods. thanks for any advice you can give. _I_ use the browser. I'm so sick of everyone being so hipster, where basically everything is "awful". It's ridiculous. It WORKS. That's the key. It may not be as good as a desktop PC, but it's not meant to be. For what it is, it's just fine. If I need something more I can revert to my phone or tablet, but generally don't. I'm very grateful for the browser on the Vita, and how good it is. Actually, for everything on the Vita. If only Sony had stood behind it properly, they could have done so well. Everything about this absolutely rocks. (and Nintento sees the future in dedicated mobile - and they're right, phones suck for games, and best kept to comms purposes - but now I'm on a rant)

That's such a weird way to look at it. 100% authentic. By that logic then you should only play certain PSP games on a PSP fat.
I love my Vita, and the same goes for my PSP. Not all PSP games are in the PSN which makes UMD the only way to play without hack.
