@@Silverpicker yeah I watch a guy called Retro Rick. He goes to Goodwill and Flea Markets to search for old games/movies that are cheap that he can flip on eBay for a profit. He did a series called the $10 game collection that he basically started out with $10 and built an entire game collection!
I owned a cybercafe that offered tables for MTG from 2001-2007. I still have thousands of 'lightly played" cards from Unlimited through Coldsnap (most prior to Champions of Kamigawa). I know I have a few Betas too. I spent over $1,000 (20 years ago) on multiple large collections on eBay to have stock to allow my players to buy/trade along with buying new editions as they came out to resell.
What year did they release the "Reserved list"?
I know I will need to go through my well organized boxes and boxes to see how many cards I have that used to be common (for the lack of a better term) that may be well worth having held onto all these years!

Used to play many years ago - have to find that box of rares I saved! That said, idc if Black Lotus gave me an instant win and a shoulder massage, at $500k I’m not ever playing with it, and no one else should be either.

I would love to see a video about pokemon cards and investing in them. I have been a collector of pokemon cards for around 10 years and I have sort of unintentionally invested in them as many of the cards I have had for multiple years have gone up in value. Many pokemon cards also seem to rise in value extremely fast such as the gold stars. In the past few years these cards have increased in value by hundreds of dollers. An example of this a Raikou gold star graded a psa 8 that I got for 100 dollars 2 years ago and now they are selling for closer to 500 on ebay. I definitely think thare is a lot of investment opportunity in the world of Pokemon single cards as well as sealed product . I also really enjoyed learning some about mtg cards because I really didn't know much about them before watching this video. These kinds of videos may also be a great way to expose new youtube audiences to coin collecting.

I love the idea of box breaks. It turns the private joy of opening packs into a communal event. I would do one, but I don't think I have enough subs who would be interested.

Bro, about halfway through the video I was thinking "he should do one of these a month" because while you certainly want coins front and center, videos like this could stretch you to new audiences.
Magic cards do sound pretty compelling, but like all collections or hobbies there is a huge learning investment. You wouldn't want to just dabble!

I cringe when I see people opening Pokemon packs that cost hundreds of dollars today and I opened the same packs and basically destroyed the cards when I was a young child.
